Red Dot Storage

I would like to say this is my first time dealing with Red Dot storage. It was a very nice experience the way they have everything set up I'll be dealing with them in further

Very quick easy and efficient setup!!! Customer service representative helped me tremendously. Was very client friendly. Nice and roomy! Also reasonable pricing. Love my storage unit.

The price was reasonable. They do not guarantee against rodents. I hope the critters do not get in the storage. They have rodent baits in some of the storage.

Not bad, aside from the price went up a few times. This specific location was better then anything I'd probably find in the Baton Rouge area. They really need to get the door stoppers fixed, they're stripped and don't stay in place, so it's a huge hassle to try and move anything out of the door. I was there over a year and the same doorstop was never replaced. No one works there on site, so can't really let them know about it.

No one ever on location & impossible to get in contact with.

Our truck broke down and we were looking to rent a rv spot we can see in back. The doors locked, which is good, but no one ever shows up. The online chat is unhelpful and when we call they say the spots are full. We can see a parking spot open in back with nothing but broken pallet pieces in the spot. However, they do have cameras on the property and the sheriff has been nice. Prices are reasonable but I wish we could talk to the people who watch over the property because the trucks done for for the weekend and we really need a place to just park until it's fixed. Edit: Someone's been very rude and even though we are getting the trailer towed instead of wasting out money on a place that is extremely difficult to get a hold of and when we finally did get a hold of them, they were rude

Theft is a problem here. Tonight we were informed by text message and email from automated RedDot message that our unit "may" have been broken into. When we arrived, someone had replaced our broken lock with a Red Dot lock, along with seven other vandalized units, but no Red Dot representative was on the premises. Based off of various items such as pictures and papers poking out underneath several unit doors, it looks like things were just shoved back into random units in the aftermath, then a Red Dot lock placed on it. The managment never called us, the neighboring unit's owner we met, or the police. After speaking with law enforcement (who responded right away when we called and were at the site within minutes) we found out this has happened before. The authorities at that time urged Red Dot to have interior cameras installed- which they did not. Red Dot's exterior gate has been broken and open for several days now. The thieves not only stole belongings, but trashed items as well. They were apparently able to take their sweet time loading up 8 units. Again, NO phone call from management to the police or to us, and cannot reach a human on the phone with Red Dot. If your things are worth storing, steer clear of this facility.
Follow up to Red Dot's response that "security is important to them." Security is so important that the access gate was wide open to the pucblic for over two weeks, and no alarm was ever triggered? Security is so important that the break-ins were not discovered for over a week? So important that there are zero security cameras inside the building, after mulitple thefts prior? So important that Red Dot's "policy" is to not contact the police, and authorize employees to take peoples belongings and lock them in other customer's units? This is the opposite of secure.

BEWARE! DECEPTIVE! The facility is very clean climate control is acceptable security seems sufficient. The customer service is based out of state. If you have a problem Don't expect southern hospitality. It was more like dealing with a robot. In my experience the contracts and policies are geared more towards being able to seize the contents of your storage unit. They will deactivate the code for you to enter the facility and to get inside the buildings for 72 hours and it doesn't matter if you have just survived the cat 4 hurricane. They're other locally owned options where the owner values your business in the event you have a problem he will take care of it.

I wouldn't even give this place a one. The previous owners did not give the proper information and Red Dot refuses to let me access my items. I have called a million times over. They take my money though. This has yet to be resolved. I would run from this place.
