The sales associate, Paul Pickett, is an expert in his field. He was friendly, courteous, respectful and took time to help us make an informed decision to choose a payment we were happy with. The Business Office staff were very friendly and professional too. Great experience. Would buy from CarMax again as well as recommend others.

Talked to an agent on the phone told them the car I wanted and the extras I wanted on it. She located exactly the one I wanted. The car I wanted was in Winston Salem so they had it shipped to Gastonia. It was nice and smooth. Arrived and signed the papers and left in my new car (to me).

HARLEY LEATHERMAN IS AMAZING. I came a day early by mistake for my appointment, the service team was able to get me in that same day instead of making me come back the next day. They were nice and friendly. I appreciate the flexibility that was made here.
She really made a difference for me. She thoroughly explained everything and I left there with no question unanswered.
I changed my score to 5 because of her and the team and the technician who serviced my car and made time for me.

Most of my shopping was done online. I set up search alerts and just waited. Once I found the vehicle I wanted, I took a test drive and purchased it. The in store process including test drive and trade in appraisal took less than 4 hours. The 30 day return policy and limited warranty was to good to go shopping anywhere else.

Haley did a great job of keeping me informed while my car was at the Gastonia location recently and went above and beyond! The service team did a great job of getting my car back up and running as well! Much appreciated!!

Bob was wonderful to deal with from the beginning! I had an issue with the original car that I had purchased, but everyone from service, business office, to sales team all did everything they could to make it as painless as possible. I ended up returning the original car but purchased another from Bob. Nothing but great things to say about the experience.

My truck was delivered to a closer CarMax location and the process went extremely well. I never would have though that a giant corporation like CarMax would have provided the individual and courteous customer service. Will definitely be back for our next purchase.

Jose at carmaxx of Gastonia is a prime example of top tier customer service! You can tell his customer service is sincere and not just about sales numbers. He called me back with an answer to my problem in less than 5 minutes whereas the service dept was not at all concerned with what i had going on! (I know when im being lied to) Again top tier customer service!!!

I had an awesome experience when I purchased my vehicle from CarMax! My daughter had and accident and totaled my previous vehicle and I needed transportation quick. I had researched the many makes and models of cars on the CarMax website previously and pretty much new what I wanted. I saw that there was a home delivery option and thought that would be perfect considering my situation. Chris Tumbleston and the CarMax home delivery team went above and beyond to deliver my 2012 Hyundai sonata limited right to the front door of my job. I am very pleased at how effortless it was to purchase my new car!

Had a great experience with Riley. We had reserved a car online. When we arrived for our appointment, Riley was waiting for us and ready to get the process started. Riley was nice, knowledgeable, and got the process moving along quickly all while entertaining our 4 year old’s questions. We went for our test drive, and fell in love with the car. It was clean, and drove beautifully. We had been pre-qualified online so the financing was quick and easy and matched exactly to what our pre-qualification said online (all the information I put in for the pre-qualification was accurate). The facility was clean and everyone was friendly. Lissa helped us with signing our title paperwork and she was quick, efficient, knowledgeable, and really sweet. we were in and out with our new car in little more than 2 hours (never have I had such a quick visit at a dealership, not even for an oil change). Overall had an excellent experience and we will be returning for our next car.

Great experience at CarMax. I walked into the dealership and was greeted by Rich Estevez. I told him what I was looking for and that I needed to buy a car within the next two days. As we walked through the lot, he steered me away from vehicles that were out of my price range and mileage requirements which really impressed me. We ended up looking at an Acura and he arranged to have a specific model delivered to the dealership the next day. One test drive later and I was sold. I bought the car that same day. Like most people, I am skeptical of car dealerships, but Rich was very honest and genuine, and he made me feel very comfortable throughout the process. Rich is incredibly professional and knowledgeable, and I recommend asking for him if you decide to purchase a shiny new ride at CarMax.

Easiest way to trade and buy cars, took a total of 2-3 hours, and I got the truck that I needed. Very friendly sales and service, they paid to add a hitch to my truck as part of the sale.
