Y'all ever seen the little diner on TV where the food is delicious, everyone knows everyone and the old guys sit around gossiping? Now you can experience it for yourself. In Gastonia there are 2 Ball's Grills that I've visited and believe me this is the only one you want to go to. I work 3rd shift and I can have a juicy cheeseburger (and crinkle cut fries) and still get my other people breakfast. My son raves about the Livermush which I was told comes fresh from S.C and is very tasty. I've only had Cheeseburgers (so far) and they have been delicious both days. I went yesterday and then again this morning to see if yesterday's awesome food was just a happy accident but it was great again today. Don't believe me, go see for yourself.

I actually giggled leaving the store at 6 am with a huge double bacon BLT and a side of crinkle cut fries. It smelled so good. I dove right in just sitting in the parking lot. Scarfed half the sandwich before I hit Hudson Blvd. Couldn't touch the fries though they were so hot!
I was charged less than $10 and, frankly, am quite blown away by the quality of the food. Amazing!

This place is awesome!!! Always friendly and nice people working!! They have some of the best food!!

I ordered a large hamburger and chilli cheese fries it was so massive. So good.

They have great food and great prices The people are very nice and sweet and the food is really really good and the atmosphere is very nice they have a double bacon cheeseburger that if you're not used to eating good food don't try it because you will get addicted 😉

I was just there. This place may not look like the fanciest place. But the people were friendly and the double cheeseburger I had was HANDS DOWN the BEST burger I've had in a year. Gigantic patties cooked right, fresh ingredients, old school wax paper wrapping paper. I'll absolutely be back. Best secret of Gastonia.

Good small town breakfast and lunch spot. My favorite is the livermush and egg on toast. Wish I could go there daily. Some do!

Look. If your place don't like like it has been cooked in then I don't want the food.. This place is tucked away in plain site, and the hours aren't long but baaaaaaaaabbbbyyyyy if you want a country feel and great love food please come here. My very first time here and I feel like I been coming all my life... Please Get you Some

Their fried squash and fried okra were delicious! Crinkle cut fries were hot and crispy. Hamburgers were juicy and flavorful! The employee told us that the beef in the burgers is never frozen. They make the patties up fresh, just like home cooking. The people who work there were warm and friendly. It made you feel like you were having dinner with family. Great food. Highly recommend it!

I love how they treat you like family and then cook you some real good food.
Update: This review does these great people no justice so here let me fix it.
The best place in Gastonia to eat. The food is always so good, plus they deep fry the livermush ( now come on). Always get an Arnold Palmer even if I do not get any food.
Good prices, also when I moved to Spartanburg (loved it) I would always drive back as much as I could to eat here.

I loved it. This was my 1st time eating there but I will most definitely be returning. The food was very affordable and good. The workers are so friendly and I felt like I was eating breakfast in the comfort of my own home.

Balls grill is always sure to impress with the southern hospitality and humbled atmosphere. Anytime you go in you are sure to find associates who are willing to stop and help. To go above an beyond what most establishments offer today. Will go back and would recommend everything on their menu. A+

Still sitting in the damn parking lot wishing I never had to leave... Bit into my all the way hamburger and almost went into labor. Our taste may not be the same but friendly service and GREAT FOOD

Friendly place with great food , I can buy breakfast for five at Balls grill and it's cheaper then what I would pay at McDonald's , and best part it's real food none of that frozen ,processed bs , thanks to Balls my new breakfast place, they also make alot of a other great food items feel free to drop in and check it out

I love, love, love there food! Best cheeseburgers around!! It's a nice down to earth place to grab breakfast & lunch. The staff is always smiling & takes time to ask about your day.

This place is small but has really good food... Everything thing is fresh cooked to order. He serves breakfast an burgers etc anytime of the day... I love that i can get a burger @ 5 am if that's what i want.
