I’m typically skeptical when it comes to chicken Marsala. Not too many places do it right. The food came out excellent. It’s not your typical Marsala sauce. It’s more like a brown gravy. However, the sauce mixed with the slightly fried chicken was phenomenal. My girlfriend had the shrimp scampi and said it was really good too. The atmosphere was nice and the food came out in a reasonable time.

We went to Maggiano’s for Sunday night dinner, and there was a bit of a wait at 6 pm. Nonetheless, we were able to get seats without a reservation. We ordered the Calamari Fritté as an appetizer, the Italian Tossed Salad, Minestrone (soup of the day), Linguine Di Mare, and the Linguine and Clams. The bread was super fresh and soft. The calamari was crispy and the squid itself was cooked perfectly. The salad was quite nice, but the minestrone was a bit salty for my taste. As for the pastas, there was SO many mussels and seafood in both pastas which was lovely. Although the pastas are not pictured, the portions are generous. We had a little pasta mishap because they forgot the noodles in the dish, but our server was very attentive and it was quickly fixed. Because it is in Southpoint, there is plenty of parking around. All in all, Maggiano’s is a great restaurant and we would definitely come back!

We chose this location for our wedding night dining spot. All I can say is it was everything you could ask for in a dining experience. We were all thoroughly impressed with our waitress Nadia. Her personality was warm and inviting and she’s very knowledgeable about the menu. She even offered great selections. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. The restaurant staff were all nice and inviting. We spoke to the manager to compliment him on his restaurant. Don’t hesitate to dine here.

Absolutely loved the food. Our waitress was really friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back! We was there Dec 30th. I suggest making a reservation because we drove 40 minutes to get there, the day before, and we would have had to wait 3 hrs to get a table so we left and made a reservation for the next night. That was a weekend day, I can't say how easy it would be to walk in on weekday.

Elijah, Chef Tyler & Chef Greg were amazing

Elijah was our waiter/server. He was very kind & attentive to us, providing excellent customer service.

They start off with complementary bread with oil. Bread is soft, fresh and flavorful. Once you dip the bread in the oil, its a whole other level of eliteness.

I ordered the Margherita Flatbread, Side Ceasar Salad & Chicken Parmesean.

I told Elijah that I had a food allergy. Chef Tyler who prepared my Chicken Parm came out from the back to offer an alternative way to prepare the cutlet which was to pan sear it. Customer service was winning me over

The margherita flatbread was so good. Side Ceasar Salad for the size still gave a good amount of salad. It came with crutons and fresh cheese and it was delicious. Great appetizer.

My date ordered the Crispy Zucchini Fritte. Chef Greg who prepared the Fritte explained that because of the food allergy, he was making the Zucchini fritter differently and it worked out tremendously. The Crispy Zucchini was sinful and scrumptious.

The Chicken parm finally comes out and the cutlet was huge. Best cutlet I have ever had. The breading was well meshed and immucalate. Chicken was tasty, moist and juicy and not tough and rubbery. The cheese was on point as well.

For drinks, I had the Peach Fuzzy Bellini with the swirl. That was so tasty as well, especially with the puree.

Ambience was an old school family restaurant vibe which I appreciated as well

Maggianos is a must visit

Family style meal for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids (12 and under) is a deal! So much food leftover that it ends up being at least 2 more meals. We opted for the bruschetta and meatballs for the 2 apps, and split the mains between a chicken, grilled salmon and 2 pastas (shrimp fettuccine and a ravioli). Since this was a birthday celebration for one of our kids, they even brought out a free lemon cookie dessert as well as the standard dessert platter.

Service was a bit casual and not rushed, and we really appreciated the time the staff took to address our allergen concerns (peanut and treenuts). The chef came out and asked questions, and confirmed which wishes were safe, etc.

And overall great experience and good for peace of mind with allergen issues.

Note: in the past they had a dessert with pistachios, but that was not the case this visit.

This is our annual Birthday restaurant and has been for many years. Myself and 2 of my best friends have birthdays near each other and this year we had the best waiter ever, Brock.
He took a picture of us and provided each of us a framed copy. What a wonderful service.
Besides that, the food and portions are always awesome. I love the take home deals they offer as well. Great place!!!

This place is wonderful! I have been craving Italian food since I moved to NC and haven’t been able to satisfy it until I ate here. Our server Nia was absolutely amazing. She made sure we had what we needed and suggested a wonderful wine and the lasagna. We will definitely be returning without hesitation!

Fantastic dining experience for a large group. The service was absolutely 💯 spectacular. Juan and his Team left no stone unturned. Our group left completely satisfied by an exceptional dining experience at a reasonable per person price point. Keep up the good work. Btw the wine list was exceptional.

My husband and I dined here on a Friday evening and everything was wonderful. Elijah was our server and was so kind and attentive. We had calamari for an appetizer and I don’t even usually enjoy it but the flavor was so good! And any pasta would be good as both our dishes were wonderful. I also had a citrus mule that was AMAZING! 10/10 recommend Maggianos!

I’ve been wanting to try Maggiano’s for so long and finally we got to do so with some great friends for lunch. The restaurant is classic Italian decor. The service was impeccable. Our server Asia was the absolute best. Cocktails at lunch? Yes, please! They were delicious and strong. Our entrées were perfection. All the ingredients married so well together creating mouthwatering bite after mouthwatering bite. Just perfect. 👌🏼😘

Tried Maggiano's out for a girls night out. Drinks were spectacular. Our waiter was so helpful when it came to picking out our meal. We opted to go with the family style meal. It was so great you got to choose 2 appetizers, 4 entrees and it included 2 salads and a plate of desserts. It fed 5 people with leftovers! Great price for the amount of food. I liked the fact we could sample all different plates that we may would have not originally picked.

The ambiance of the restaurant was impressive. The waiter was attentive to customers needs. I ordered the baked Ziti and had to take some home because it was so much. The food was hot and very tasty.
I love their bread that is served at the table; Just pour a little olive oil and shake some grated Parmesan cheese on the bread and enjoy. Also, I would recommend the Margherita flat bread for appetizers. Full of flavor and delicious.

Food is always great. Ambience and interior in this Maggianos in Durham is the best compared to the other branches we have been to. We also have the best server last week. Brocks is the man. He should set an example for the rest.

We really liked eating at Maggiano's in Durham NC! The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes for the price and our server Chelsea was awesome. We ordered the Garlic Bread, Chicken Alfredo, and Baked Ziti. Dessert was the Apple Crostada. We did the Meal for 2, which seemed a really nice deal.

The most important question: did either of us yummy giggle? I actually did have a small giggle! The sauce and the chicken in my Alfredo were DELICIOUS!

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (fantastic)
Cost: $25 each
Kid-friendly: Italian food is usually kid friendly

Onto the review!

Our meal started with complimentary and VERY yummy fresh bread slices, which Chelsea knew to not being more since we had ordered garlic bread. While the GB had more melted cheese than I cared for, I loved the flavor of it! And it looked fabulous!

Jason ordered the Baked Ziti. It could have used a little more baking, but otherwise it was really good! He also would have liked a spicy sausage instead of plain, but he still enjoyed eating it (and the leftovers!)

My Chicken Alfredo was honestly the best I have ever had. The sauce alone was so good. The chicken was tender and seasoned throughout. Yummy!

The Apple Costrada was a delicious apple pie-like dessert. We had to take it to go (running late to the movie) but baking in the oven didn't ruin it at all.

Which, side note, the leftover boxes for Maggiano's are awesome! Aluminum containers with instructions on the lid how to rebake.

Overall... great price for great food and a great time. Thanks Maggiano's!

Friends brought is here for a murder mystery dinner.
The food was good, lots of choices. 3 appetisers, 4 main course selections and 3 deserts. The apps and main courses were family style, large plates to pass around the table. The dessert was 3 small samples for each person. We all wished there was a chocolate sample.
The murder was unique, my first time at something like this. Successful solving of the mystery requires you to investigate/interview many other people in the room. Not my thing. We did get to meet some nice people at our table.
All in all, it was a good time with good Italian food and good friends.
I will eat here again, don't think I'd do the murder mystery again.
