I went to see Dr. Richard Cook, neurosurgeon. He is the most amazing person I have ever gone to. Before going to him,I had dealt with pain for over a year. Neck pain, due to a car accident. I finally got a referral to him. My life has totally changed thanks to him. He fully explained my surgery. Walked me through every step of the process. After the surgery,I kid you not,NO PAIN. Not even from the procedure. He has been a true blessing to me. He has helped me get back to my normal self...upright. Thank you Dr. COOK. People,if you need a neurosurgeon, he's the only choice,in my opinion.

My dad was in for a major surgery a few weeks ago and has been in for some post-op visits. The entire staff (from the people who put our wristbands on at the entrance, the staff on the pre-op floor, surgical staff, post-op staff and everyone in between) was extremely kind, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I couldn’t have felt better about placing my dad’s life into someone else’s hands and my family and I can’t thank them enough for all their help :)

My last two visits were very good. While I may have a history of mental illness more severe in the past, they treated me like anyone else. I went in with a very high BP and unfortunately the ER waiting room was full. But the nurse said to let them know if anything changes and they can retake my vitals. I thought I was feeling better and went to get my vitals again so I could free some space up for a more severe patient. They re took my vitals and sent me into a room within a minute. Doctor Crabtree was very nice. He sat down next to me with a clipboard and a blank piece of paper and was writing down a lot. He spent a good 5-10 minutes with me. I really appreciate how thoughtful he was. I’m stable now and in a near normal BP range. Before that I had to get rabies vaccines and the human rabies immunoglobulin shots. The provider, I forget her title I apologize. But she never made me feel dumb or anything. She let me know the downsides and upsides. Even the subsequent rabies shots you need after the initial visit. I got the other three at the health department in Kennewick near the court house because they’re cheaper than going back to the hospital for each shot as far as I’m aware. I’m very impressed with Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. I’ve had a lot of issues with this hospital growing up. I’ve lived here near 28 years and have had bad and good experiences. But lately it’s all been good. Whatever you guys are doing, keep it up. You are amazing and loved so much. I thank you for your service and not just the providers. The nurses, the booking staff the CNA’s, everyone. You’re all angels. Everytime I come to kadlec though I’m left with a fear of encountering a really mean doctor that traumatized me as a child and I still have a panic attack to this day. Can’t remember his name but when he walks in the room my heart freaks out and even after telling him to please leave the room, he wouldn’t. So the nurses and staff ushered him away from me. I don’t think he’s there anymore thankfully. Sadly though I believe this hospital is one where a lot of people do their residency at and then they move. A lot of really good doctors and nurses are there and then they leave. I hope that changed. Despite the negative and sometimes traumatizing experiences with staff at KRMC, I have to give you five stars for now. You deserve it. More importantly your staff deserves the five stars. Thank you for helping me.

Pros:Everyone was nice & the nurses & Dr's are well trained. My daughter was in the ICU for 10 days. When she got there she was having major respitory problems because she had Covid, which we didn't know until they told us.She was put in a coma & we didn't think she was going to make it.But in the end, she did. We're very grateful.

Cons: Spending the night with a patient is horrible! Many people, other than just myself agree that when the nurses come in the room during the night, they intentionally make a lot of unneeded noise. They see you & your family member sleeping, but no concern what's so ever goes into not waking u up.
Also didn't like the fact the nurses tried to talk me out of staying overnight on more than one occasion. Also I was woke up in the middle of the night while staying overnight & went outside to get some air (after having to wear covid mask for 7 hrs straight) & when I tried going back to the room in the ICU the girl working the main desk on the main floor, wouldn't let me go back without my id.I had a bracelet that I had to show ID to obtain earlier that day, a badge with the room number on it, I gave her the patients name & the password the hospital & I set up so that only certain people could visit, I explained the situation & even asked her to call up to ICU & ask the nurse if I was up there not 10 minutes prior.(I told the nurse what I was doing before I went to get air.)Plus they had a copy of my ID at the main desk in the ICU because I'd been coming everyday for the past 8 days, but she said NO.My husband had my ID on him because they don't want personal belongings brought in & he had drove over an hour to go home earlier that night. So I had to wait for him to drive back an hour so that I could go back to my daughters room to sleep, once I had my iD.All because I got woke up from all the unnecessary noise the nurse made. Very unhappy with the way that situation was handled.

Con: One of the elevators wasn't working almost the entire time we went there. The elevator never got cleaned even once the 10 days we were there.

I'm so thankful for the doctors who knew what they were doing, and wanted to keep my health safe before surgery, and all the nurses were so kind I really enjoy meeting them and were a huge help keeping the pain down.
I also did enjoy the hospital food as well. I'm thankful for my time there, I would recommend them. 🙂

Came in for chest pain and they diagnosed me promptly and gave me the best care possible. The staff here are very nice and sweet, treat them with respect and they will do the same to you. The overall environment of this hospital is relaxing, and all the staff members have a great sense of humor and personality. Thank you to all the doctors, especially Zhang. Zhang gave me all the updates about me in a very detailed and professional matter. I could say so many more great things about this place, but you should just see for yourself. They really do care about you and your health here. If you don't give them a hard time, they won't give you a hard time

Wonderful staff. I had the best labor experience thanks to all the nurses and my doctor. You guys are amazing! Not only did they take good care of my little family, they listened to me when I had questions and concerns.

Not sure if anyone even looks at or cares about the reviews here when going to the hospital, but it is odd that so many people give one star reviews for a top hospital.

Believe it or not people work at the hospital as their job just like you may work at a local retail store as a cashier. They talk to each other and have fun with each other just like you do. If you get upset that people at the hospital are acting too jolly while you have a splitting headache, then maybe you're just going to have to avoid going to the hospital.

A few years ago I had my first broken bone. My mother drove me here and I went in to emergency. Didn't really take too long for them to get me in and put a cast on my arm. But, this was a few years before the covid nonsense. Believe it or not, you are going to have a different hospital experience due to the politics of Covid.

Fast forward to this year and I brought my wife here to deliver her baby. A nurse came out with a wheelchair to help her in the front door and she helped wheel my wife to where we needed to go, the birth center. The attending nurses were friendly and we had some enjoyable conversations throughout my wife's labor and after birth post natal care.

They were a little late discharging us from the hospital, likely due to the staffing issue most all hospitals have from Covid. It wasn't a problem, though, as we weren't in a rush to get out of there though we definitely were desiring to be back home.

Also, don't forget to apply for financial assistance even if you have insurance. Depending on your income level they may even reduce or eliminate your insurance copay. If you don't have insurance, they may also reduce or eliminate your medical bill depending on your income level.

I was injured in a dirt bike accident 2 weeks ago. I was taken to Kadlec Medical Center. The care I received was so good. The nurses, doctors and surgeons were all amazing, caring and pleasant. I had surgery on my neck and it went very well. I'm back home and healing from a tramatic injury. Thank you SO much to their staff for making the best in a bad situation.

Went it really scared and in a lot of pain. The nurses were so sweet and made me feel so comfortable each step of the way. Very professional and I couldn’t be more grateful for them it was like having angels bring me back to health. I walked out with less than half the pain I walked in with BIG DIFFERENCE within a matter of hours they managed to get me back to a healthy track. I am so thankful for Kadlec keep doing what you are doing you’re saving lives everyday !!!!

I’m very late with my review, for that I apologize to all the wonderful nurses an physical therapist that took such wonderful care of me during my 31 days at Kadlec hospital. From ICU to third and fourth floor the care was excellent. All of the nurses were kind patient and caring. I required physical therapy due to a stroke that affected my left side. I had therapy three times a day to get me walking again. The the therapist were diligent, patient and kind in getting me motivated to keep moving. All in all I can say everyone made it the best experience considering I had a stroke I feel I was in the best place possible at Kadlec hospital. I have fond memories of all caregivers nurses and therapist and so grateful to each one.

I read some of the poor reviews posted here and I would suggest that they watch todays News and see how badly Hospitals are being "STRESSED TO THE LIMITS!!" 😡🤦 They are "literally getting swamped with patients with ... RSV ... FLU ... Covid and you name it!!" and there is today a "TERRIBLE SHORTAGE!!" of Doctors ... Nurses ... and all staff members!! Every time I've been there I see the ER crambed with Patients including the halls and any space they can find!! ... And sadly ... the Hospital is "POWERLESS!!" to do anything about it with
the staff they have!! 🤷😡 My wife Bernice had Surgery yesterday (Dec 20) for Gaul Bladder removal by Dr Smith and we ended up there for about 14 Hrs!! But ... Knowing the circumstances we understood!! 💁🤦 She even had to waite almost 3 hrs for a recovery room!! But ... again we understood and just "lived with it!!" 💁 Despite everything ... that doctor Smith ... the Nurses ... and all the staff were enduring ... (in our opinion) they all performed "EXCELLENT ... CARING ... AND FRIENDLY!!" If I could ... I would give them 10 Stars!! 🤗👍

I recently had a scheduled operation at Kadlec. Everyone I interacted with was on the ball, they were thorough when answering questions, and put me at ease. The staff I interacted with were very well organized and friendly.
