I am truly grateful to Jim McLaurin and his caring and compassionate staff, for the absolute professionalism and caring demeanor during the most difficult days after the passing of my mother.
I know I had alot of questions, the staff was beyond helpful, and never once made me feel as though I was a bother.
If anyone knew the bond I had with my mom, then you would know I wouldn't have settled for anything but the best for her. I know I made the right choice for her, there is not a doubt in my mind.

At a time when we had just experienced the unexpected loss of a Wife,, Grandmother Great Grandmother, Best Friend, and Caregiver, these folks did so much to help us through the process of arranging for respectful, and proper care of our Hero. The representative, Terry Haimes was exemplary in his care, and concern for each of our family members, and any special needs that we had. He asked good questions, and never tried to upsell, add services, or unnecessary expenses. We never felt rushed, and they went out of their way to assure our comfort, and confidence,, as much as is possible throughout our entire experience. We are very grateful for their kindness, and generosity.

My husband and I lost our son, Montgomery Scott “Scotty”, when I was 20 weeks pregnant. It was completely unexpected and we were really at a loss for what to do but the staff at McLaurin were so incredibly kind and helpful throughout the whole process. John Paul was who we met with the day after I gave birth to Scotty. I was not in the greatest shape emotionally and I had a really hard time during our meeting. John Paul was patient and kind. He made sure I had snacks and drinks and plenty of tissues. He also made sure that I knew if I needed a break I could let him know and we could take a break for however long I needed. He explained everything thoroughly and as gently as he could. I am so appreciative of the services we received from them. While I hope I don’t have a reason to visit them again for a very long time, I know that if I need them things will be well taken care of. Thank you John Paul and all the other staff members for the support you gave us during this difficult time.

JIm McLaurin and his staff are simply excellent. I had not previous contact with Jim or his business until my wife passed. They have excellent options for families who have lost loved ones. This is a very difficult time for these families, and Jim's demeanor, knowledge, and caring approach put me at ease immediately. There was NO sales pitch, simply a review of options. Everything was up front. When the News and Observer newspaper obit cost came in pretty high, he contacted me to make sure I still wanted to go forward with it. He was on top of every detail of the planning and then the execution of every detail. His reputation with my Pastor is excellent as well. He ALWAYS contacted me when he had a question on our wishes. NO surprises. I could not be happier with the service at our Church and he and his staff were invaluable in handling the parking there. New construction is ongoing at the Church, and parking was a tad confusing. I am leaving instructions for my family...this is where I want them to take me when my time is up and I join my wife. Thanks Jim!

I have been buried here for almost 10 years and I must say what a great place this is. I haven’t had a single issue with my neighbors, they are all very quiet and keep to themselves. The maintenance people keep the property up well but it definitely could use some sprucing up, i.e the flowers near the water fountain look like they’ve also been dead for 10 years... Overall, you’re going to love it here, but reserve your space soon because people are dying to get in!

Unfortunately, two family members have passed within two years. They have been wonderful, not only through the grieving process, but in taking us through the necessary steps in the uncharted area.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. From the meeting about what my aunt had arranged for herself, to the viewing before cremation and the day of the service at the Clayton location, it was rushed, rude, and unwelcoming. Mr. Terry closing a door in my mothers face while hurridly herding everyone from the main chapel to the mausoleum was the last draw for me.
I could not warn you to stay away enough. It made a hard day worse and I am beside myself. STAY AWAY!

This company does not have any couth, what so ever. I went to support my dear friend who’s father figure had passed and the music choice was less than mindful. They could’ve asked what kind of music the late man enjoyed to be more celebratory of his life. It just really seems like a horrible way to say good bye to your loved one.
