City Lunch

Small town eatery at its finest! Nothing fancy, continuing to do things the old school way. Got a hotdog and hamburger “All The Way” and it was amazing and quick. Service was great and had a great conversation with the wonderful ladies that worked there. Excited to come back and try their breakfast!

Maybe I'm not the one to ask, since I've only been coming here for parts of 7 decades...but, honestly...I cannot think of a better place to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The food is consistently great, and at ridiculously low prices.

I've never gotten my fill of their famous hot dog. I've always just run out, or stopped from embarrassment. Breakfast is fantastic if you like hot, home cooking.

Lunch menus are varied, and always offer good southern cooking, square meal plate lunches, as well as hot dogs, burgers and more. Heck, most people I know get the plate lunch and a dog or two.

Burgers are a secret, and sometimes live in the shadow of the famous hot dogs, but they are first rate.

Pro tip: order the stew beef sandwich when stew beef is on the menu...you'll get two pieces of bread with stewed beef inside and over the top. Mushy deliciousness.

Dang. At the prices they charge, just get it all. There's a reason this family-owned cafe has been in business so long. It's good. Every time. Or at least that's what I've experienced for 55+ years.

That photo is a livermush and egg on bun, with mayo and a tomato. I'll let you know when I get tired of it, lol. Oh, and it cost a total of $2.75, with the drink...

This place is an awesome lil much spot. It's way old school and it's family owned and operated. City lunch is a place I have gone to since being a child and still love it as an adult

Local favorite. Great breakfast and great lunch. Love the way the inside looks with local stuff hanging up. Price is great and the staff is friendly. The hotdogs are awesome.

I have went to City lunch since I was very young. Their food has always been great. Their hotdogs and cheeseburgers are my favorites!!! I love the atmosphere in the restaurant. People are always so friendly and most of the time you’ll run into someone you know and get to catch up for a minute while you eat

I definitely recommend City lunch for local people here or anyone wanting to try good food

I'm ashamed to say that I've only been here twice. Everything about this place is incredible. The food, the service, the prices. Walking in here is like going back in time and I absolutely love it.

City Lunch is amazing. Check their Facebook page to see if they're open or closed for a random reason. I will continue to eat here until I either die or they close the doors for good.

Love this place! *Cash Only* Very good food and ambiance. Thankful I always carry some cash so we were able to give it a try. Friend and I both got a hamburger, hot dog, chips, and a soda.

This has become a meeting place for friends of mine. I love the hot dogs and the hamburgers. Friendly place and people! Prices are unbeatable! Hot Dogs like grandma used to make! Love it! Definitely not fancy! Come as you are!

Nice little spot where the food for lunch was cheap and good with good service. If I ever go back to Lincolnton I would definitely revisit, I was told they have good dinner there too!

From Ft Lauderdale visiting a close friend living in Lincolnton, and we stopped in for breakfast. Loved the small town vibe, food was GREAT, and I was pleasantly shocked at the price for the breakfast special compared to what I pay in the big city. Can’t beat it!

There's just something their hotdog with chili, slaw and mustard that can't be explained. Onion's on a hotdog is a personal preference but I usually leave them off. None of the ingredients overpower the taste which for me makes it my all-time favorite hotdog. If you're from Lincolnton and you were raised on City Lunch hotdogs you know exactly what I'm talking about. Can't beat the prices either!

Best place by far in Lincolnton to grab a hotdog. A hole in the wall type of place but don’t let the outside fool you from the comfort food that awaits. And as a friendly reminder (They do NOT accept cards ONLY CASH!!!!)but I highly recommend this place for either a quick bite or just a casual sit down either way your getting your money’s worth.

I absolutely love City lunch! Where else can u get food for 2 people for $10 or less and eat good... Nowhere! $1 hot dogs are my favorite and the burgers are so good as well. The owner is always working her butt off and no matter how busy she is, she always greets her customers and makes everyone that walks through the door feel welcome and a part of the family. This little restaurant is a staple in linconlton and I hope it stays that way for a very long time. I Highly recommend it ..

Always such a treat coming here for breakfast or lunch! The food is so much better than any fast food restaurant can offer, plus you support this long standing buisness in the community that continues to do great things and serve yummy food!

These people are awesome!! Home cooked food, tastes great and great pricing. Old diner atmosphere so don't expect anything fancy. Try her fried chicken. The best!! Certain foods on certain days only
