The Kettle Diner

Our family love this place. Feels like home. All staff are truly accommodating and kind, foods are undeniably palatable and affordable, and the place is always clean.

My first time with the family here. Food was great but the service was amazing. My wife makes a better chicken parmigiana since she uses an entire breast. The chicken was cut and small but otherwise with the pasta, very filling. They have the 2nd best Mac & Cheese of Jacksonville and it was delicious. The salad was the freshest out of all the places and steak houses I’ve been to. Please order the cheese fries; wow, you will see why!!!

Good ol'fashion diner, with all day breakfast, and great lunch and dinner specials. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the old diner days that for the most part have gone by, but not here. We were met with friendly faces and great food. Also, don't forget to have dessert.

Stopped by The Kettle Diner while in town visiting family. We lived here 40 years ago and it was nice to go the Kettle and take a trip down memory lane. We both ate breakfast and the food was well prepared and the service was outstanding. Will definitely go back next time we're in Jacksonville.

We parked & People were coming out as well as going in. We enter and the place is full of folks, plus more folks are coming in. So we know we made a good decision and are in the right place. Even though it's busy we are seated right away and our drink orders are taken immediately. It was great overall. Those are some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever had. It wasn't just our server that was a ACE, I saw all the other servers and workers being great at their job. Can't go wrong with a place that has a picture of Don Knotts (RF) on its wall, either.

They have a variety of food to choose from. You can get breakfast all day as well. Their cheese fries with bacon are awesome. Pancakes, Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Gravy and biscuits, Hamburgers... Everything we have ordered, we have not been disappointed!

The Kettle Diner is a wonderful restaurant that is a MUST visit during your time in Jacksonville. The people, food, and service is beyond amazing. I was very skeptical when I first came here but after coming and trying out the service and food I was in love! The people here love their jobs, very interactive and knowledgeable on what they are serving. Great interactions every time. The quality of food has always been 5 out of 5. I would highly encourage everyone to come and try the Kettle Diner once in their lifetime. Again 5 out of 5 stars from me.

Visiting my son here in North Carolina, Leaving Monday morning back to Indiana.

I'm a Small town guy with simple food taste of Diners, Cafes and Drive in type foods. Fast food is Ok, but can't get no better than a Small town eatery.

This place was what I was looking for in a Diner. Small (in a BIG city), Workers knew their Customers (My First time here).

Had some GREAT Service with the Waitresses and the Food was Amazing too, Eggs were Just like I asked them (Over Medium), Bacon was Crispy and the Buttermilk Pancakes were very delicious.

We should be headed back here in March to Visit my son again as him and his wife are expecting their first Son and I'll be stopping here again.

Highly recommend their breakfast, I've not tried anything on their Lunch Menu, but there breakfast is really good, So if you are over this way in Jacksonville and want a Small town Cafe/Diner feel, come on down and check them out.

I loved the diner atmosphere with lots of friendly happy people. Clean and great food.
We got pot roast dinner, Cajun chicken wrap and club sandwich. All fantastic. Then another trip we had smothered chicken, breakfast and tuna. All great!

I can’t believe this is my first time here. All I can think of right now is all the times I could have come here instead of IHOP, Denny’s or Waffle House. The food was amazing. I can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu. I definitely recommend this place.

Great service, extensive menu. We had the daily special which was meatloaf with two sides, Chicken parmasan with spaghetti and garlic bread. This place fills up fast. They serve breakfast all day which is rare. So stop on by and check them out. Came back for breakfast, it was excellent.

Going to be our new favorite breakfast spot... Wonderful experience... Food was so good... Staff was very kind... Looking forward to going back soon...

Great food service and price. The staff could not have been more wonderful. I am upset it took us so long to make it to Kettle. Will be back for sure.

Stopped in for our first time for breakfast this morning. Hubs had a Belgium waffle and I had breakfast tacos. Both were very good, service was exceptional and prices decent for portions.

Love the food, I usually get the liver n onions and it's done to perfection.
Love the ruebens & cheesesteaks too.

Their coleslaw is homemade and soooo Delicious 😋
My daughter loves their clam chowder.
The food is always so nice and hot too.
(My only complaint is the servers always seem to forget something: extra napkins, a side order, a sauce, etc after multiple askings)
But I will always remain a customer ♥

I believe there were 14 servers? I haven’t had an excellent waffle to brag about until today. The staff really make you feel welcomed. Thank you for being a steady/consistent diner. Appreciate you all.

Good food! Our server’s name with Rhonda. She was well prepare to attend and serve. She was extremely nice and the food was delicious.

The "Kettle" as we locals refer to it is one of the best breakfast, lunch, and dinner eateries in all of Jacksonville, if not Onslow County.
The food is always good, hot/cold (depending on your selection), plentiful, and served graciously.
My wife, Donna, and I visit here quite often during the month and always bring visiting family here.

Ordered to go because they are always sooo busy, that alone should speak for there food and service. My daughter loves their rueben, my husband and I have a harder time deciding because it's all delicious!

The liver and onions were outstanding, (I didn't get the gravy), but if you want it with bacon you have to get a side order. My partner had the Reuben which was perfect. Their homemade vegetable beef soup had huge chunks of pot roast. Delicious. Total bill was less than $30 and we had leftovers!
