Benton Park

Very peaceful and very pet friendly... always have a good time walking throw the park n,kids love play on the playground...they also have great live music every now and then....

What a pleasant surprise! This park came out of nowhere and was just adorable. Very cool to have something like this in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

This is such a beautiful, peaceful, and happy park with trails and two ponds, plus plenty of wildlife! So cool!! They have enough to keep the family busy and smiling all the way here's tennis courts, walking/bicycling trails, a playground for the kids. The entire park is very scenic with it's rolling hills and wildlife to keep you entertained for hours.

Benton Park is great! We feed the ducks and the pair of geese as they are the cutest creatures in the area. There are fish too although they’re abit timid. Lovely park to walk around with your dog and even has a nice a nice bridge. Supposedly there are caves underneath. I’ve seen a map but haven’t physically looked. Anyway, the old homes surrounding the park and the park itself with the lovely wildlife is a nice retreat from the laptop eyes I have.

Such a great park! Fantastic playground with so many options. And two lakes!!

Need the city to open the restrooms!! What's the point of locked restrooms in a park?

Fun playground for the kiddos. Good for younger and bigger kids. Small little fountain/splash are is helpful in summer heat. The 7 yr old says it needs monkey bars but Lots of fun. Lots of nice walking space including some lovely fountains.

Lovely historic park with a pond, ducks and geese. Nice place to ring lunch. Watch out as some of the geese do get crabby.

Great playground with swings and two separate ay sets: one for older kids and one for younger. My daughter loves it. Next to that is a couple of tennis courts. There are paved paths that wind through the park with benches along the way. There are two separate lakes. There's a small circular one with a fountain and a larger one with a bridge over it. There are always several ducks at each. I've seen people fishing in the larger lake, but I'm not sure how good it is for that. The park is pretty hilly which I think makes the paths more interesting than the larger Tower Grove and Lafayette Parks. There's no designated parking area, so your best bet is to park along Arsenal on the north or Wyoming on the south. It's within walking distance of Gus' Pretzels, Cafe Piazza, and Shameless Grounds. The Cherokee Recreation Center is adjacent to the southwest corner of the park.

This park has my kids' (4&9) favorite playground.

They also love to watch the ducks and geese that gather at the pond, as well as rolling down a shallow hill next to the playground.

Aside from the intermittent drizzle it was a great day in the park enjoying Jake's leg with a thousand new friends. Happy dogs and young un's . VW bus's & few Bugs. Only took one picture send it to my sister.

We saw a band at the amphitheater and it was lovely. The playground looks baller even though we don't have any kids, and the restroom facilities are ample. Lovely park

Beautiful just beautiful had a wonderful peaceful, giving day at the park.

Has not been for the Garrison and the storage and moving of ammunitions and medical supplies for the troops during stocking of the trains thus arsenal streets getting its name so thanks to the Benton family for helping the United States become the greatest nation thank you

Been taking my granddaughter here since she could walk. She's 15 now and we take her brother. She got a good laugh out of being able to reach things now.
