I have just started my curly journey after years of straightening and chemically damaging my hair. I got a consult and hair cut from Amanda and I could not be happier with the result. She told me everything I needed to know, was exceptionally attentive, genuinely listened and inquired about my hair and maintenance, and gave me much-needed advice about style and care moving forward. Not to mention, I left the salon with the best hair cut and style I’ve ever had! If I could give 10 stars, I would. Thank you Amanda!! I’ll be coming back to you from now on! Also, the salon staff are super friendly, helpful, and personal. Highly highly recommend. 🙏

Amber did the keratin hair treatment, and did a great job! I have very long, thick, super curly hair, and she was gentle while she worked, not pulling or tugging. She was a careful listener when I had questions or concerns, and was comfortably conversational, but didn't talk my ears off, either! My hair looks amazing, with rave reviews from friends, family, and co-workers. It was the best salon experience I've ever had, and I plan to go back. Awesome job, Amber!

I love my salon! Sam, Ryan, Selena, Butch and Brian always make me feel like a movie star when I go in. I had highlights, a cut, and style. Unlike some high end salons you walk out finished and fabulous. They don't charge to dry and style your hair. The new location has parking which is a huge commodity downtown. Plus they make sure you leave happy. I wasn't happy with a product I purchased previously and they swapped it out for something else. No questions asked.
Plus entire staff works together as a team and that gives the customer confidence.

When I first moved to the Mount Pleasant area several years ago, I searched high and low for the perfect salon that would be able to continue doing my blonde highlights. I have had some bad experiences in the past and didn't just want some random salon to color my hair. When I found Stuart Laurence I knew immediately that they were the one for me because they are the only salon around that has "Board Certified Master Hair Colorist" on staff. I became a client of Amanda's and she is an amazing talent. She listens to exactly what I want and gets it right every single time. The staff are professional and super easy to deal with. They make me feel like a valued customer at each appointment. I am never leaving Stuart Laurence!

Amanda does the most amazing job with my curly hair! I would never go anywhere else. Everyone is so friendly and so professional. Great atmosphere. I have never enjoyed getting my hair cut until this salon.

So, being a muslim in the south it can be incredibly difficult to find a good place to get your haircut and the staff bent over backwards to make it work and make me comfortable. They cut my hair in a section in the back for privacy. They made sure no one could see me when my hair was getting washed. They even went so far as to cover a mirror to make sure no one could see my reflection. It was incredibly considerate. On top of that the haircut was perfect and my hair felt so soft and perfect. Really recommend it highly to anyone looking for an incredible salon.

There are two things I am extremely picky about: who cuts my hair and does my nails. Stuart Laurence is the place to go for ANYTHING to do with hair style! Color, cut, advice...anything! The atmosphere is amazing, the staff is always smiling and you can tell they enjoy being around each other...and I feel like a new person every time I walk out. They take the time to find out who you are and what you need in your hair style...THANK YOU!!!!

I have the curliest and thickest hair ever. I dread getting it done and have had so many bad experiences. I walked in the salon and was nervous because of the reviews. Ashley was wonderful and SO knowledgeable. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. If I didn't live 4 hours away she would be a permanent stylist!! My hair still looks great!

the best hair salon i have ever been to! when i checked there website out i wasnt really sure about them because it was all subtle changes on there models and i wanted to go from long hair that went down to my waste to a short pixie cut with a shaved back. when i walked in everyone was very welcoming and happy. my hair dresser (i think her name was samantha) came to greet me quickly and i showed her the pictures i wanted.she took pictures for the facebook site because the change was so drastic.the man at the register was very sweet and seamed exited as well.everyone talked to me during the process and there where certain times during the hair cut i was worrying that she was going to do something other than what i wanted but its like she could read my mind.she did it perfectly and plan to go again next time i am in charelston!

I don't know why this place has gotten such bad reviews. I have been going here for over a year and I can say they are professional and courteous. I just went in yesterday and got the best haircut that I have ever had in my life. Plus their tea tree oil shampoo treatments feel so good and are a great stress reliever. Ask for Ashley she is the best!

My son recently had a Heart Transplant & we stayed at The Ronald McDonald House. Being this my son received a free haircut by Amanda! Very friendly staff & beautiful salon stocked up!
