Wildwater Chattooga: Rafting & Canopy Tours

Stayed in the cabins for 4 nights with a big group of people. We went white water rafting and did the high ropes course on site. First off, the bus driver is incredible, very impressive. The staff were all extremely hospitable and friendly and tended to everything needed. The white water rafting guide Tony was fantastic. We had an amazing time on ropes course. Very informative and safe the entire time. I will definitely bring my family back here!

If you're gonna float the Chattooga, this is the company to do it with! From the start, they were nothing but wonderful. The Tree House cabin was beautiful and affordable. They helped shuttle our kayaks on the first day and actually suggested a section of the river more fun than the one we had planned. Our day 2 rafting trip with Tony was awesome! I'll say the same thing about this location as I have in my other reviews; stay away from the NOC & ride with Wildwater!!!

My fiance and I had an amazing day whitewater rafting with our guide Tony on the Section 3 trip. Tony is a very professional and skilled guide! This was our first time on the Chattooga and we aren't spring chickens! Tony gave clear instructions and kept it safe and fun. We navigated the route perfectly with his expertise. We were briefed on, and practiced, safety maneuvers early in our trip. We were truly in good hands! The entire experience was great! Lunch was filling, there were plenty of breaks to take a dip and enjoy the water, and the pictures available for purchase captured the experience well. We met up with other Wildwater raft groups about halfway through, which added a chance to watch the others navigate the falls. You can tell all the guides work well together and truly enjoy their jobs. Thanks Tony and Wildwater for making our first time on the Chattooga a wonderful experience!

We did zip lining with Brandy and Michelle Friday who both were excellent guides. Saturday we did the 8am class 4-5 white water rafting half-day (section 4). We’ve done a lot of rafting throughout the year’s in different states east to west coast and Tony our guide was top notch! We were very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Highly recommend asking for him. The entire guide crew were amazing! Safety is their top priority and they all work well together as a team. Lots of laughs especially from Scooter the photographer. Bryan our bus driver was great too!! We are already planning next year’s trip back.

We had such an amazing time! He had Rachel and Corey for our zip line tour who were so much fun and the amazing Liz for our rafting tour! Yes it looks like we were trying to launch Liz out of our raft there for a minute, but we actually just struggled to follow directions there at the end! 🤣

We did the NOC two years ago on the Little Pigeon, which was great, but Wild Water at Chattooga was FANTASTIC! Unbelievably nice people who know what they're doing and how to show you an experience you will never forget. We did the overnight trip and zip lining just two weeks ago, then stayed in a very clean and beautiful cabin onsite afterward. Several people, including one of my sons, had to be let down from the zip lining for various reasons. They handled it quickly, efficiently, and super politely. Margot even stayed with my son while we finished the course. Many thanks to her, plus Emmy (:->), Stefan, Jansen (who says he's just a raft guide, but he cooks a mean steak), and Michelle. We had a blast! You guys are awesome! Thank you thank you! We'll be back!

We had a 5 man group zip line with Emi and Eli! Y’all must do! Ask for them! They were the best with teaching and executing the canopy at Wildwater Chattooga! 😘💕 We give them 10 stars out of 10!!

This place is great! We did a yurt/rafting/zipline package over two days and had an incredible experience. Quick breakdown:

1. The yurts were clean and spacious, although there was no ac and only one fan. Not terrible, but recommend you bring your own fan any time in the summer (we came in mid-July so of course it was hot! ). The bunk beds aren't bad and the mattresses were waterproof and clean. There was power and lights in the yurt. The common area has very clean bathrooms, showers, and ac! Not a bad place to rest and relax.

2. Rafting was incredible. Our guide, Kat, was super friendly and knowledgeable. The gear was in good condition and kept us safe when we decided to go over the rapids. We had lunch mid day on a sand bar (custom homemade sandwiches and some snacks) and overall had a blast with our kids. Kudos to Kat and Nathaniel (the main guide) for making the experience extra fun.

3. The zipline tour was also unforgettable and fun! Sophia and Brandi were awesome and made sure we were getting the most out of the experience. My 9-year old son had an absolute blast flying through the trees and his safety was never in doubt. The setup and equipment are very well maintained and you can tell that our guides were attentive to making sure the rules were being followed to keep us safe.

Overall a highly recommended experience for all ages and experience!

I had a lot of fun out on the water the guides did a great job at navigating us through the river and keeping as safe throughout the day. There were many interactive spot to jump off into the water and go swimming. I had a lot of fun!

We went on our first white water rafting experience and we absolutely loved it and had a splash of fun! Our guides were Austin and Alyssa! They were phenomenal!

Huge thanks go to our amazing guides...Angela, Thames, Brendan, and Mary Nell! Our river trip leaders Alex and Brandon were top notch, too! Brandon, we hope those bites were okay. 😉 Isabel the river manager was wonderful! This place was awesome! Everyone was soooo friendly, and knowledgeable. We had so much fun we extended our stay another day! This was the first time for 2 in our party, and we felt completely safe. There were so many safety measures in place. They thought of everything! Even the snacks on the rafting trips were perfect. Oh, and the cabins are really nice with free wifi great showers, and new appliances, too! Thanks also to Whetstone Photography for the beautiful pictures...and the kayak acrobatics show entertaining us during the quiet stretches of Section 4! 😄

Cory and Brandi were awesome! My friend and I came up from the Atlanta area to Zipline. They were very informative, personable and really entertaining. We felt really comfortable and safe but had a really great time! Would definitely come again and request these 2 awesome guides.

We had the absolute best rafting trip ever with Adam as our guide. He was kind, knowledgeable, and so much fun! We had one person in our group who had never been rafting before and we were so thrilled that this was the experience he had for his first time. Adam is a rockstar. I highly recommend requesting him as your guide!!

I was very impressed with the Wildwater group. Michael was a great raft guide! Really appreciate his expertise and engaging everyone in the raft. Really fun experience for myself and 2 teens.

This is a must-do unforgettable experience! Our family trip to Clayton, Georgia was built around this rafting adventure to Wildwater Chatooga. We wanted to do something a little different than a beach trip with our four kids (all in their 20’s) and it turned out to be the best decision!
The scenery was incredible and our guide, “alright folks” Adam, was absolutely fantastic!! His expertise made all the difference so we could have fun enjoying the excitement of the rapids. Bonding with our adult children over the challenges of the river (category 5 rapids after 3 days of rain) helped create lasting memories as it brought us closer as a blended family. We highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a fun family vacation! Thank you Adam!

Wonderful time with Wildwater Chatooga! It rained heavy the night before, so the river was up. They had to put us in about 10 miles further up, and we let out about 2 miles early. Couldn't go over Bull Sluice due to the rushing water, but had a blast

Going white water rafting was on my bucket list, and Wildwater Chattooga did not disappoint! This was an absolute blast and one of the best adventures I've had! If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Thank you for an absolutely amazing experience!

Unforgettable experience with guides John and his mentor the unflappable Josh from Mississippi that were just awesome. Fun, scary experience where you just won't know what is coming next. Do not pass up on the photos when you are done!

I've skied, hiked, climbed, fished, and went on many cool adventures around the world, and this rated up there with the best of them!

There are several options to go on a white water adventure in the area, and if you're having a little trouble deciding let me save you some time and just go with Wildwater! Honestly we couldn't have had a better time. Our raft guide Josh was extremely thorough and his passion and knowledge for the river showed, they are extremely organized, personal and professional, you will feel safe for you and the little ones the entire time, last but certainly least they love to have fun and maximize it for all involved! Get out there and go!! 🤙🕺

Our guide Joe along with everyone at Wild Water was great! Joe was super knowledgeable about the area, the river, and all the rapids and he made sure our family had an awesome time!
