Last minute trip and decided to stay at the Lodge. We loved the room and the bath house was very nice. We ate dinner at the lodge and loved the band and the wings were amazing. Great people and great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

We had Thanksgiving dinner here and it was delicious! Everything was made from scratch. We were impressed! From the turkey to the brown sugar ham to the great sides, we couldn't find anything to complain about. It was a buffet, so we had an opportunity to sample everything. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. A great experience!

Can't recommend this place enough! Have stayed here twice now and will 100% return when applicable. Staff is very friendly and down to earth. One of those places where everyone just feels like a friend. The outdoor courtyard and firepit is the highlight for me along with the food being top notch! I have stayed in the campgrounds and also in the lodge rooms and both times I had nothing but great things to say. Very clean and organized. If youre looking for a getaway in the woods while still being accessible to the local towns this is the place to do it! Can't wait to come back in the summer time!

Fall family camping trip was a complete success thanks to Chattooga River Lodge and Campground! Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, and a whole lot of fun. The food at Willie's was great and everyone had something they loved which is rare for us. Watched the Dawgs play on the big screen and had a fun game of pool. Later we listened to the live music and sipped a cocktail. We will be back again next year

We had a great time camping here. The camp sites are spread out for privacy and quiet, with thick forest in between. Loved Site 8: shelter, table, electrical, fire pit, and flat/even ground gave us everything we needed. Plus, it is a 30 second walk to the bathhouse.
This campground is close to dozens (not exaggerating) of trails and waterfalls, as well as apple orchards, but they will only have fresh apples from roughly August to October.

Stayed at site 6 over Thanksgiving 2023. Best site location in my opinion. There's lots of room for fire and cooking as well as our truck and trailer. Bathrooms are right there with hot water and the heat on. Definitely will be coming back in the future.

We live about 3 hours away and started camping here summer of 2021. We try to visit 2-3 times per year. Both bathhouses (campsites and lodge) are always clean and well kept. The owners (Matt and Teresa), the Chef and his wife (sorry, awful with names) Chris, and the bartender that always wears a beanie (again sorry, awful with names), are amazing and beyond welcoming! The food is always on point and offers a large variety. We will be life long patrons!

Finally, RIP Bambi! You are greatly missed and will never be forgotten!

Absolutely gorgeous location, warm and welcoming hospitality from Mat and Teresa, fantastic food and music at Willie's Tavern, quiet and private campsites in beautiful woods. Power, a firepit, covered picnic table, very clean and warm bathrooms. A perfect vacation! Thank you again, we will be back!

Stumbled upon this lil gem while waterfall hunting... They had one room left... The owner Theresa helped me book online and was a super amazing hostess! There was live music, great food, and everyone we met was super nice. VERY dog friendly! A must stay to feel a warm local vibe🥰

This was one of the best camping experiences we have ever had. Friendly staff, option of electronic check in, site was AMAZING, and clean bath house. Tavern was awesome with the live music and great food. We will be returning and definitely recommend for people who love relaxing and a diverse group of people.

We used this as a basecamp for a gravel bike trip. This is such a lowkey chill spot. The bar is great with a lodge vibe, the courtyard and firepit next to the rooms were awesome for the late night. Everyone was super hospitable and the food even better- smashburger with sweet potatoe fries. This is the pefect spot for group outdoor trips. Will come back with more friends soon!

Fantastic camping! I’ve never camped in a campground before so having amenities was a whole new experience for me. Electricity at your site, clean bathrooms with flushing toilets, hot water, and super-cold AC, a restaurant/bar on-site and a whole slew of other goodies are available here. The folks there are helpful and friendly and site 8 was spacious and private. I normally come home from camping trips ready to be home for a while; this place made me want to go back as soon as I drove away!

We camped for just one night and had a nice time. We had some issues with noise after quiet time. I reached out to them, and they quickly found the source of the noise and had them turn it down so we could enjoy the peaceful night and crisp mountain breeze. We will for sure be back and will stay longer next time. Great location, and it's located in the perfect location with just a short drive to some of the prettiest waterfalls and mountain views. If you're thinking about taking a trip go, I highly recommend it.

I stayed at the campground and ate at the lodge. The lodge environment and live music was lots of fun. The campground is well kept and close to the Chattooga put in. Overall a great stay.

First....I've only stayed at the Primitive camp sites. However, the service to questions while on or off-site are answered very timely. What I like most are the large and clean campsites that allow for larger tents than many State run campgrounds. The area is situated in such a way to allow for a more secluded feel. The bathhouse is conveniently located and clean each time I've visited. Many of the campsites allow easy and close access to the nice and clean creek which runs through the property. I'm definitely a many returns visitor!

Love the privacy of the RV sites! Lodge has a perfect bar and restaurant! Food was Delicious! Great being able to walk back to camp after dinner. Nice to have live music on and outdoor fire pit to also enjoy only steps away from camp. Definitely will be back!

A gym in the foothills along the Chattooga! We love camping here along the creek. It is such a nice a cozy campground that is well maintained and safe. Our kids can run, play and explore through the woods and creek freely. We have never stayed at the Lodge, but I am sure it is great as well! Mat & Teresa are phenomenal hosts who do everything they can to make sure your time is memorable and enjoyable. Thank you Mat & Teresa for creating a home away from home in the woods!

After staying at Chattooga, I am one happy camper! The well-kept campsite (#12), was nestled up against a flowing river/creek, close to the bath house, with a shelter for those rainy afternoons. The bath house was always clean... and air conditioned! It's a short walk/drive to the lodge, which offers everything from food and drinks to live music and friendly people. The campground is only minutes away some very popular and beautiful waterfalls and attractions (Belle Farm, Stumphouse Tunnel, etc). If you're thinking of camping in Sumter National Forest, this is the place you want to stay ... and never want to leave!
