Charlie's Grocery on Spring

Hey Y’all - The Pirate Hunter’s Food Review is back with another hidden local gem for a 5 star review! This little convenience store / restaurant combo is legit good home cookin’. Nothing over the top or super crazy fancy, but simply a master of the basics. Take for example this bragel (breakfast bagel) for example. Perfectly grilled crisp bacon & over medium eggs with American cheese on an everything bagel. A true power breakfast sammich right here on the go post ruck. If you don’t know me - I do 24 hr ruck challenges so food is important in fueling performance.

In addition to this bragel, I’ve had the seasoned French fries which are great and the burger is like having a good backyard grill out without having to cook or do dishes! All in all - This little neighborhood spot is a great hidden gem to grab on the go or order with UberEats!

I was introduced to this corner store some months ago. They sell some awesome breakfast sandwiches that I fell in love with. All I can say is #DELICIOUS!! If your ever on Spring street, check them out and you won’t be disappointed.

Really nice neighborhood convenience store. Everyone is always super friendly and helpful. They have everything you might need. Good prices on beer and cigarettes.

Charlie's is an awesome corner store with a solid selection of beer, wine, and champagne. Also have lots of snacks and a good selection of travel size toiletries Definitely check it out if you're in town. You won't regret it.

Every time I order from Charlie’s the food is incredible. You cannot beat the price for this quality of food. I almost always order the Philly cheesesteak, but I have branched out and tried their other menu items lately. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing, and the burgers and deep fried hot dogs are delicious. I recommend Charlie’s to all my friends downtown and my coworkers. I’m literally eating a Charlie’s burger as I type this review.

This is a small, but well stocked corner grocery. Also had an excellent wine selection! I found all I needed and more for a 3 day stay in the neighborhood. Excellent customer service -the owner was personable and extremely helpful.

Great selection of local beers, generally have almost anything you would need from a grocery store. Falafel is best in town, get with hummus and hot.

A surprisingly well-stocked corner grocery with fair prices, a great selection of beer, wine and miscellaneous items. No lie, its got a better beer/wine selection that most grocery stores, and enough food options that you could actually cook something if you so desired.

One of my favorite local places to get some beer or snacks. The owner is a great guy makes it worthwhile every time. Come to Charlie's if you are close and support some local business!

I am a in patient at MUSC, and cannot leave the hospital. The hospital food is lacking in many ways, so We decided to order something to be delivered from Uber eats. Charles Grocery was what we chose. We have never been to Charlie's Grocery so we were taking a chance. Needless to say in just a few minutes our delivery arrived and we were enjoying the bigest mountain of meat and toppings we have ever seen. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches were topped with fresh veggies and they were packaged with care. Charlies Grocery will be on my list of favorites now and I look forward to the next time I have an opportunity to order from them.

One of the best corner stores in town. Very well stocked and clean. Has things a lot of other corner stores don’t have, boxed dinners and stuff like that. Very convenient and not over priced!

The cashier is always very nice a friendly. They have a large selection of grocery/convenience store items at reasonable prices. The location is very convenient to MUSC and the nearby neighborhoods.

Friendly owner and prices aren’t terrible for a mini market. Not much in the way of produce but has everything else you’d want including beer and wine.
