This place is awesome.... my husband and I are in from Charlotte and are having trouble with Bofa so we were on the phone with the bank in his store for 30 min. The guy working ( Shane ) actually gave us something to drink and offered us money in case we were also hungry . What a great guy!! Upon talking to him he's also an army Vet so many thanks to Shane for his service and for being a truly nice person. I will recommend this store to anyone and will be back to say hello to Shane anytime we are visiting. THANK YOU SHANE !

I absolutely love this store. The new guy, Shane is polite and friendly. I'm glad to see a smiling face behind the counter now.

I go to King Street Grocery almost everyday because I work right across the street Ms. Deb is always there with a great attitude and encouraging words love this little store..

I usually purchase lottery tickets at the store during the weekdays and never had any problems before. I went into the store, the clerk didn't hear my request, and blamed me because he didn't run my tickets the amount of times I asked him to. He told me that he has vendors to take care of, and he's busy. I'll never set foot in the store again. If you have rude clerks, maybe they should be in another line of business.

Was visiting family in Charleston for Thanksgiving and enjoying the Southern Hospitality until I went into this store. The female assistant was rude and aggressive and seemed to be on some crazed power trip. She tried to order me around and tell me where to stand. I quietly ignored her barked orders and she point blank refused to serve me! She was a terrible ambassador for Charleston and the business must be losing a lot of trade because of her disgraceful behavior!!!

AVOID. we were confused about pricing and asked for a clarification and the woman at the counter yelled at us saying we accused her of being a thief and left us our items without a bag. Add that to the fact that we were likely over charged. Terrible. Cheaper snacks elsewhere

Worst corner store I've ever been to in my life. My friend Diane had her service dog in the stroller and the lady wouldn't serve us? Don't spend your money here.

Your clerk/cashier rudely asked me and my friend to open our bags , accusing us of stealing . Proceeded to kick us out because I called her a b****. Sorry If that was unneeded of me, but it was unneeded to walk up so forcefully and command us to open our bags. Then to see that we had nothing….. if she waited a second more me and my friend would’ve gladly went up to the front counter with our selected items.

Deb is a nice woman, but the older female clerk recently working is offensive, rude, and a thief. Habitual issues, and miscalculations with financial abilities and standards. Mr. Allam should worry about the business.

After a friend saw the clerk attempted to steal lottery and money, and now refused to sell items or respond, Tyyona with the SC Education Lottery was contacted, to report the cashier, once again. The same clerk has been reported to State Lottery, previously. Others should report, improper, illegal behavior, or the like, and can direct them to the State of SC, local licensing officials, etc.

Always check your purchases to ensure you have not been swindled, via employees at this location. The same individuals own Coming Street Grocery.

Watch how much money you give and get back and how much you are charged on your credit card. I have been ripped off twice. Just today I came in there after having a few drinks at lunch and I guess he thought that he could rip me off when I gave him a 20 for eight dollar bill and he gave me seven dollars back. I told him “I gave you a $20” he said “oh my bad, it’s only five, it would not make me rich”. Very strange. Be careful.
