La Pizzeria

Do not pass this place up. They have pizza as the name implies but their pasta options are amazing. They also have desserts worth eating a little extra for. Expect to wait for seating. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

While it wasn't a really busy evening, we were greeted and seated promptly.
The garlic knots were very tasty. We weren't waiting long for the main course and let me tell you, the spaghetti & meatballs was the best I've had. All of the staff was very friendly and we never had to wait long. We all loved our food and to top it off the owner stopped by and checked up on us and noticed that my Mother's plate had some oil and sauce left over and offered a bowl of bread to clean up the leftovers.
She was so kind! It was a fantastic experience and the food is wonderful!

After leaving another restaurant because of bad service, I found this cute little restaurant nearby, and I’m so happy I did ☺ A huge thank you to Dargen and Jimmy and the other manager (I’m so sorry I forgot to get his name but I did personally thank him). They all were so kind to me and very attentive! They brought a smile to my face while I was enjoying my delicious food. I loved the attention to detail: Dargen remembered me by my first name, Jimmy poured my soda in a glass as if I was drinking wine (fancy!), cute table settings, and everyone kept checking on me to see how my dinner was. Please know that I appreciate y’all very much and I will tell all my family and friends about my wonderful experience. The ambience was so cute too! I will definitely be a returning customer when I come back to visit ❤ Whoever the owner is, please give them a special thanks for their hard work!

Absolutely fantastic! From the most wonderful welcome by Dargan, excellent service from Carla and thankful Eddy wishing us a wonderful evening. The food was fabulous, chicken with artichokes, chicken parmigiana, calamari and a yummy bottle of red. Five star service, friendly faces and DELICIOUS food. Oh and a pizza to go for our kids! As someone who craves the true flavors of Italy, I've been on a seemingly endless quest for authentic pizza in South Carolina. La Pizzeria has ended my search! Their Margherita pizza with mushrooms was an absolute revelation. The crust was the perfect combination of airy and crisp, with a delightful char reminiscent of wood-fired ovens. The sauce was bursting with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes, and the mozzarella melted with that beautiful creaminess you only find in Italy. The mushrooms were perfectly cooked, adding an earthy richness to every bite.

A dual citizen of the US and Italy, I visit Italy frequently. The quality and ambiance of La Pizzeria transported me back to the bustling pizzerias of Naples. The restaurant itself has a cozy, family-run atmosphere that added to the genuine Italian experience. The secret, I discovered, lies in their commitment to importing key ingredients directly from Italy. It's a difference you can taste in every single bite. Plus, the service was friendly and attentive, making the meal even more enjoyable.

This is our go to spot for Italian dishes and pizza. Just a good old simple Italian that truly Italian without any silly add on.
We came here frequent and every dish we tried are delicious. Last week the little neck clams w pasta was soooo good. I feel like my husband & I are back in the South of Italy again. Thank you for consistently offering good food. 👌👍
Oh and their dessert, omg, I was never a big dessert person, till I tried their Lemonchello cheese cake, oh so yummy. The pistachio or the tiramisu is also spot on.
You won't be disappointed.

Best pizza I've ever had in my life!! Service was amazing, they make everyone feel like a part of the family. We were visiting for vacation and found this gem based on reviews. My only regret is that I can't go here in a regular basis.

My experience started with Eddie once I entered the establishment. True hospitality and I knew my meal was sure to be 5 Star. I got a true Italian ambience from moment I smelled the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen. Dining area was full of compliments to Eddie as he showed me around. His customer service alone will have me and my family back.

This is an amazing little place. Great atmosphere, friendly owner with a great Italian accent! i knew i was in the right place when she greeted me. Almost all their products are imported from Italy.
From their Flour, Sauce, Cherry Tomatoes to their desserts and Espresso coffee. You will not be disappointed, this is truly an authentic Italian experience all around.

I had the day special 'A Linguine with White clams sauce and Shrimp. i knew i was in for a treat when my plate came in steaming hot! fresh baked bread w Olive oil. I'm sure it was imported also. I travel for my company, but i will be back with Wifey!

I've eaten here a few times. Every dish is excellent. It's the best pizza joint in Charleston, but Park Pizza is also unbelievable (if you're looking for something less traditional than La Pizzeria).

I need to preface my review by saying that I was born in Italy and lived there until I was 20, when I moved to Boston. My wife and I visited Charleston on 4/25/24 for a wedding. Looking for a place to eat on Friday night (4/26), we came across "La Pizzeria". Now...I admit that I am very, very picky about my food and especially pizza, as I rarely find a real good "Italian" pizza in the US. Well...I am so glad we found "La Pizzeria". From the moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff, and the space is so reminiscent of an Italian trattoria. We met the owner, Laura and we began talking Italian and I really felt like I was back home. The pizza was outstanding, perfectly cooked and seasoned and you can tell that the ingredients are fresh. The sauce was well cooked, unlike most pizza's I have had where it's uncooked and tastes like it's just out of the can. We also had the Caprese salad had the home made Tiramisu' (made by Laura) and it was delicious. The only downside...we go back to Boston on Sunday and don't know when we will be back. Grazie Laura and I wish you continued success with your restaurant.

What a class act. My friend and I stopped in on our way home from shopping to check out this cute little restaurant. We just wanted to check out the menu, no time to eat. Edie told us to stay put! He came out with 2 slices of pizza to take home with us to sample. What a treat. A class act. And by the way, was delicious! We can't wait to go there and enjoy an actual dinner. Thank you so much!

La Pizzeria is a charming family owned Italian restaurant in Mount Pleasant, SC. It was some of the most amazing + authentic Italian food in the US! They import all of their food from Italy. Sadly, I only got photos of our food after we ate most of it. Luca was our waiter and he was phenomenal. If you are in Charleston, do yourself a favor and eat here!

Where do I begin. I’ve been coming here since they opened in 2007 and the food never has disappointed. Everything from their pizza, to their pasta dishes of the day, as well as the desserts, are always phenomenal. The staff is also some of the friendliest and kindest people you’ll ever meet. Truly cannot recommend this place enough.

The service was great. They are Italian folks running it, with imported ingredients that make the food feel authentic to Italy. The pizza was magnificent, along with the chicken parm and the calzone.

It’s rare to find a restaurant that consistently delivers top notch food and service. Oh, and how could I not mention Eddie. He goes above and beyond to make sure your experience is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and order dessert - you don’t regret it!

La pizzeria is such a gem!

La Pizzeria is the probably some of the best Italian food in Charleston. As a kid who grew up with authentic Italian food, I can guarantee their food is the real deal! Molto bene!

Wonderful service and the lasagna is top notch! Overall great food and neighborly atmosphere of friends at every table. Please Note: If you are looking for “quiet eating” this is absolutely not the place for that.
