I cannot say enough about the staff at Landmark. We did not have the outcome we had hoped for but I couldn't think of a place I would have rather been in this difficult time. The nurses, therapists, doctors and staff were so caring and compassionate. They took care of my husband and of me. I didn't have any family in the area to be with me so the Landmark staff stepped in as my family away from home. They laughed with me and cried with me. I will be forever grateful!!!!

Landmark took great care of my family member. Scarlett and Debbie kept in great communication from the beginning. All of the nurse were polite and explained what was happening. A very clean facility and caring.

Top notch wound care team. The 3rd floor staff was friendly and helpful the majority of the time. The food was awful.

To the Landmark Hospital Staff,

First things first, thank you. You have been the glue that has kept me together during this very difficult time. I will be forever grateful. The empathy and compassion of the entire staff at Landmark Hospital is what gave me hope. My brothers fate was uncertain, but each and every member of the Landmark staff played a part in his healing.

My brother, a 54-year-old male, arrived at Landmark Hospital in critical condition from Savannah Memorial ICU. He is a very difficult case with unique circumstances that made him particularly challenging. He was recovering from the Ivor Lewis Procedure associated with esophageal cancer. In addition to his cancer, he has epilepsy, contracted a serious lung infection, breathing on a ventilator through a tracheotomy tube, and was in acute confusion. This would have been too complicated for many, but not for you.

So, I thank each and every one of you.

To Brooks, the treatment and management of my brother's respiratory needs was exceptional. I cannot thank you enough for your honesty and professionalism. Every member of your team has treated him with dignity and respect and my gratitude goes beyond words.

To Jennifer, Brandy, and the other nurses, thank you for your understanding and compassion. I know my brother’s care was extremely demanding and unforgiving, but you never gave up. That is something I will carry with me forever. You added a humane touch to a difficult atmosphere, finding humor in difficult situations with a kindhearted attitude - which I believe to be instrumental in his recovery.

To Dr. Francilin and Dr. Laemmerhirt, thank you for not giving up on him and listening to my many questions and concerns without prejudice. More importantly, for keeping an open line of communication with me on a daily basis. I needed you to have faith in him and in his ability to recover, and you gave it to me. I believe that has made the difference between his life and his death.

To Matt and Melissa, the super-human physical therapy team! Without your consistent motivation and drive, I know he wouldn’t be walking today. Your ability to build a unique human relationship while responding sensitively to his struggles allowed him to maintain his dignity. You are both authentic and dedicated people who impressed me with your genuine care and support.

To Amber, thank you for your patience and support during his speech therapy sessions. You don’t have an easy job, but you carry yourself with grace and professionalism.

To everyone else, thank you for all that you have done for my brother and myself.

The Landmark Hospital is an exceptional facility that has saved my brother's life. Under the extraordinary leadership of Dr. Francilin and Dr. Laemmerhirt, the entire staff has been working endlessly toward his recovery. I feel fortunate to have you in my life.

Sincerely,
Susan Brown

Honestly I was afraid After looking at the reviews on landmark. My mom was a patient at memorial and was sent to landmark to heal and recover for 3 months which is basically what landmark is. I was so hesitant about them sending her there considering the fact she did not get the best treatment at memorial hospital. But to my surprise my mom enjoyed her stay at landmark and the staff treated her very well and with respect, they cater to her every needs. The nursing staff was great communicating with me about her condition. My mother felt very comfortable there and they treated her so good she got way better treatment there than memorial. It was very hard because we could not visit due to COVID 19 but the staff allowed me to order her food everyday and have it delivered to her room to make her feel comfortable. The case manager Jennifer was great as well. If you have a loved one going to landmark don’t be hesitant because of the reviews if your loved one is bad off don’t send them there please. My advice is to make sure your loved one have some snacks because the food is not great. Thank you landmark and staff for treating my mom well and spoiling her and getting her back home to me.

My over all experience was phenomenal! From the nurses , techs, womb care nurses and PT crew! They were very encouraging giving me encouraging words daily to keep me going . Dr. Franklin is one of the best doctors I’ve had while being ill . He listens to your concerns and answers any questions you may have about what’s going on. Dr Montgomery was also a phenomenal neurologist ! She made sure I had all my treatments for dialysis and came by daily to make sure that I had no problems ! The only down fall that stops this facility from receiving a 5 star rating from me is Dr. Laemmerhirt his bed side manners are horrible. He lied to my family telling them that I wasn’t being complacent with staff which was not true , and he also kept saying, “ if you don’t like it here, you can go home” I felt like no doctor or anyone that is suppose to be “Professional” should say anything of that nature , then may I add he agrued back and forth with me about me having certain rights . Landmark is a great facility and help me not only physically but mentally thank you to that staff!
