Holiday Inn Express & Suites McAlester, an IHG Hotel

Decided to try the holiday Inn when our old hotel quit serving breakfast and now can't wait to go back! Stephanie was so helpful from the very beginning! Got us our room right away and when the TV didn't work, got us a new room quickly and even met us at the new room with our keys! Breakfast was good bit housekeeping could use a little work. Toilet needed to be scrubbed under the rim and extra hand towels would be nice instead of just one. Overall terrific stay!

It is a nice, quiet hotel. My husband and I stayed because he had training for work a couple towns over. The breakfast was great and it was clean and quiet. It is very close to a convenience store and walking distance to Chili’s. I’ve never been to McAlester before, but I would definitely stay here again. The only negative thing I would have to say is that we had to loop around a few times to find the entrance. That was a very minor inconvenience.

My son and I booked this hotel on a road trip and it’s perfect! I was skeptical with some of the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door. The room is huge. We booked a 2 Queen suite through Capital One. It’s very updated with very comfortable beds and the shower felt amazing. Plenty of usb and regular plug ins too. The front desk staff was very friendly. We checked in late at night and they were right with me. I would recommend this hotel :)

I highly recommend this hotel. Me and my family were moving from MO to TX and decided to stay overnight at this hotel. They are extremely well maintained, and they provide lovely and satisfying breakfast with many options.
I bet you will love it too.

Took a chance on a cheaper rate/King Suite and was pleasantly surprised at the size, finishes/materials and cleanliness of the room. Entrance is a bit tricky to find but overall, great experience.

I had a few relatives staying at the Hampton Inn (where I almost booked) and when I visited their rooms, they looked a bit smaller and somewhat outdated in terms of furniture and finishes as compared to the Holiday Inn; not a jab, just my opinion.

Fitness center was small, but all EQ/weights were clean and towels were readily available. The breakfast was very good and everything at the bar looked clean and organized. They even had a separate fridge for yogurts and milks which I thought was neat. I actually got locked out of my room after I ate and the front desk lady Yvonne (sp?) actually walked all the way up to my room with me after reprogramming my key to resolve the issue, and did so with a smile the entire way. Top notch customer service; 5/5, highly recommended.

Great place and clean. Staff was amazing. Hotel manager worked with us as we had a big group. Highly recommend.

On the night before Thanksgiving this motel provided us excellent services. The staff was helpful, attentive, and friendly. The morning breakfast was of good quality and the kitchen area clean, the room was spacious for the price with nice touches like adequate outlets at beside and upscale lighting fixtures. Water pressure was excellent with a shower head that provided a generous flow of hot water from the start to the finish. This place hit tops in every category for what I look for in a great motel.

What a great place to stay, wish I we could have stayed longer! Great beds, soft sheets , good pillows, great bathrooms and good water pressure too! What more could you ask for? OH ! and a GREAT BREAKFAST!!

The only complaint is it takes 20 minutes for the water to get hot in the shower. Atleast my girlfriend got a hot shower

If you stay around here this place is a must I started out at Comfort Suites and that place is trailer park comparable. Holiday inn is nice the room was comfortable the bed doesn’t look like it seen 150000 people and it’s nice a quite I very much enjoyed it. Again if your staying in this area stay here! The front desk workers here strive to meet your needs they seem to really care about their guests! If I come back here this is where I’ll stay!

The perfect hotel for my family and I to stay one night while driving to Texas. The rooms have a lot of space and comfy beds. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel is near restaurants and right off the highway. It was a nice stay for us.

Location was perfect for us! Went to my grandmother's house for a late family Christmas and didn't have to leave her neighborhood to get there. Love that it was so close by. Very clean! Beds and pillows very comfortable, slept well for being away from home. A full television guide as opposed to just cable was great! Stayed for two days and they came in to clean, make the bed, and replenish any towels. Front desk staff at check in and check out we're friendly and very helpful! Our key didn't work on the door and he stopped right away to come up with me and fix it asap! Overall a great stay! Would highly recommend!

When I stayed here this Holiday Inn is very clean the people are very friendly.

Best of all the beds were so comfortable.
The rooms are large size the 50TVs full size refrigerators with pots and pans going to cook surface I would recommend anybody stay at this particular Hotel and the rates are fair

Gotta say one of the best places I've stayed in all my travels, great full breakfast with lots of flavor! Definitely recommend this location

This newly renovated property is stunning. Just come! Lots of amenities and absolutely gorgeous rooms. The bed was amazing. I've had more comfortable pillows at other hotels but that's just being picky :-). The shower head was great, the little kitchenette was wonderful, the room layout was a joy, there's a gym, pool, sauna and a decent Covid style breakfast and coffee in the morning. what I mean by that is that most hotels/motels are giving you the bare minimum because of Covid, but they go above that.
A small issue for me was that I thought all their many hand sanitizers stations were empty. It turned out that I wasn't putting my hand close enough to get the squirt I didn't like how close I had to put my hand, but at least they did have a lot of stations all around.
Staff were friendly. I can't imagine a nicer place to stay in the area. The price was quite good also.

Really good experience. Nice sized room and the beds are SUPER comfortable.

The construction is the worst. Apple Maps took us to a dead end road not even close to the hotel. I called the hotel and they walked me through how to get there.

We had to stay here unexpectedly late one night after a camping mishap. The night manager was very nice and welcomed my family warmly. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds and pillows were soft and we slept great. The breakfast was excellent. They had tons of options available. This is not a waffle only breakfast. They had bacon, sausage, omelets, gravy (an Oklahoma must have) muffins, bagels, etc. We weren't planning on staying but were so pleased we chose this hotel.

Very friendly staff room was clean and ready to go. I had asked for extra towels when booking online and they were able to accommodate us. Due to covid-19 precautions being taken breakfast has to be individualized which is good the whole hotel was very clean and it was quiet as well. check out was simple and no rush either

This place really got to me. I stayed here two weeks. Overall I was happy with the hotel's grounds, food, staff, and cleanliness . There was one thing that didn't flow right the entire two weeks I was there, and it was the cleaning crews, maids or whatever you call them. They never finished the rooms by four any of the days, and one day they were cleaning till 9pm. In addition to that, one of the staff members were crying while cleaning. I'm not sure if they haven't found their right mixture of maids but they need to fix that.

I was traveling on military orders, and I needed to store breast milk during my time away from my baby. All of the front desk staff were extremely helpful and froze my milk everyday for me in their deep freezer. It was stressful being away from my baby, but the staff was so friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible.
