Charleston Harbor Veterinarians

I really believe this is the best vet office in Charleston! The always took the best care of my babies, had a clean and calming space, and would always respond to my texts no matter how small or stupid the question was. I always felt comforted knowing my cats were in such good care for the two years we were patients there. Unfortunately we moved away but if you’re looking for a vet in Charleston look no further! Staff is so friendly and caring and prices are reasonable and consistent with veterinary costs. Thank you!!

I have had two appointments with two different Veterinarians, with two different dogs with different, complicated conditions. Love, love, the attention given to each dog and to their health. As a Nurse myself, these Veterinarians no matter whom you see, are smart cookies. One dog gets extra handling care, so he can overcome his phobia, reaction to veterinary handling, tests, etc. Very impressed that you can get an appointment very quickly when needed, already needed that. Still need to bring the cat in for first visit, but I'm sure it too will be awesome. The drive from Goose Creek is worth it.

I appreciated the transparency and authenticity from both Dr. Kahuda and the Nurse. Both were so kind and genuine. I wish I could remember the nurses name to give her recognition - she was great. It was evident that both were listening to understand instead of listening to merely respond, which was so refreshing as a pet owner. They valued my cat’s health and well-being over revenue. It was cool that Dr. Kahuda sat down in our exam room on the floor to openly talk about what’s best for my cat instead of rushing out the door. I really appreciated Dr. Kahuda’s time and efforts with myself and my cat, Skye. CHV was also the cleanest most well-maintained clinic I have ever stepped foot in. I’m grateful to have found CHV and Dr. Kahuda.

I have been taking my dogs to CHV since the day the opened. Dr K and the whole team are amazing, caring, knowledgeable, and my dogs love them. They respond quickly to emails as well as send follow up texts after appts.
Fergus was diagnosed with bladder cancer and they were quick to support, send me to the right place for chemo, and really make sure we are doing everything we can to give him the best life possible.
The best vet for folks living downtown.

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Kahuda and the CHV Team! I've been taking my two special-needs pups there for years (one medical, one behavioral) and they have always gone above and beyond to make sure my dogs and I were well taken care of and comfortable. They have continued to offer curbside for those pups who do better that way, with Dr. K even coming out to the car to treat my scaredy dog without her having to get out! I never have trouble getting an appointment or reaching a doctor in-between for ongoing issues. They always send a lovely follow-up text to check on your pup the next day, too! I couldn't even guess how many appointments we've had over the years at various clinics and hospitals, and CHV is by far the best primary vet in the area when taking into consideration both price and quality of care combined. My dogs are more docile and cooperative there than any other "low-stress" vets we've visited (even the spicy one!), which I attribute to their attention to using their body language and handling to put the dog at ease, and their willingness to incorporate PVPs, sedation, and pain management. My dogs have seen Dr. K, Dr. Coco, and Dr. McCaskill, and I would recommend them all. I have also gotten nothing but excellent feedback from my own clients who take their pups to CHV. I would never be able to keep Faith and Lydia happy and healthy without them! I'd give 10 stars if I could. :)

Love working w chs harbor vets! Have been taking my mini golden doodle there since she was born back in 2017. They are the best and always try to put her at ease. One thing I love is the communication- they text you and have an online portal. Makes it so easy to talk to the doctors and nurses. Thanks for all of your help over the years! Highly recommend!

I LOVE Charleston Harbor Vet. They are all so kind, caring, and willing to work with you. I’ve taken all of my dogs here for the past 4 years and have never been disappointed. From boo-boos, to annuals, to sending some of our babies to the Rainbow Bridge. They are so compassionate! We love Dr. McCaskill, Dr. Coco, and Dr. Kahuda!!!

The staff members are warm, friendly and very efficient. The office is beautiful and very clean. Dr Kahuda is a wonderful vet. She is extremely competent and thorough. She is also very warm and engaging with both pets and their humans. We cannot recommend this office enough and are so thankful to have our pets in their care.

Frank (our Labrador) who is now 4 years old, has been going to Charleston Harbor Vererinarians since we first brought him home as a puppy, and we’ve always felt that he was in great hands! We trust the doctors and vet techs wholeheartedly to care for him and give him the best medical attention possible, and we wouldn’t want to take him anywhere else!

Harbor is head and shoulders above every other vet practice we have ever experienced. The facility is designed to be a kinder, gentler experience for pets--and their owners. Instead of waiting in a crowded room with other animals, you are taken immediately to your own examination room for privacy and comfort. Instead of a sterile hospital-like setting, each room is decorated like a room in a home. During the recent passing of our little pug, Dr. K, Dr. R, and the entire staff were knowledgeable, transparent, and compassionate. We highly recommend Harbor to anyone who wants the best for their pet.

We sadly lost our dog recently to cancer and I cannot commend Dr. Kahuda and her team enough for how well they treated him and us, from beginning to end. The empathy and grace they showed us was truly remarkable. Dr. Kahuda is a wonderful person who clearly has found her calling as a veterinarian and we so appreciate them being there for us through this difficult time.

We love Charleston Harbor Vets! They are so great with our three pets, and always strive to make them feel comfortable. The staff is so helpful and knowledgeable. They take the time to answer all of our questions and we never feel rushed. I highly recommend them if you are looking for wonderful veterinarians.

I had previously heard good things about Charleston Harbor so I decided to give it a try. We met with Dr. Coco. She was absolutely wonderful. She listened to all my concerns and examined Penny for all of it. She was very thorough reviewing Penny’s background and medical records from our previous vet and her specialist vet. I’m well aware I’m a crazy dog mom and freak out over little things, but she didn’t make me feel like that. Some vets I’ve used definitely make you feel like you’re over thinking (which I probably am), but she did not. She was very loving with my Penny too who is petrified of going to the vets office.

I can’t remember our vet tech, but she was wonderful too. All of the office staff was friendly.

I also love the setup at this location. You can see everything that is happening so you know your pet is in good hands when they take her for blood work etc. plus the rooms are cozy and clean. No dirty benches and grime like some places. They truly take care of you, your pet and try to make you as comfortable as possible!

My dog has out of this world anxiety about going to the vet. We’ve been to several vets and CHV was by far superior to all of them in their care and low stress environment. I’ve never had a vet spend the visit on the ground consoling my pet and making him feel comfortable. Dr. Coco even followed up by email and explained his lab results a few days after his visit. Everyone on the staff was so nice, parking is easy, I highly recommend!

On a scale of 1 to 10, hands down I rate my experience with CHV over 10. I came to CHV after finding out that Dr McCaskill was part of the practice. She made a huge impact on me and my fur babies 2012/2013 and I have never forgotten. I came to see her and CHV with a very heavy heart as my time together here with my little one is coming to close. The staff is amazing. Logan immediately put me at ease. You all have called , texted to check up on us. I feel a sense of security knowing I can reach out to you all. I can not thank you all enough for the compassion and support you have shown from the very beginning. I no doubt have found a wonderful place to care for my little furry babies!

I cannot say enough fantastic things about this practice as a whole and Logan and Dr. Kahuda in particular. Not only do I think their medical expertise is beyond but the way they care so passionately for fur babes and their humans is unlike any other practice I’ve ever been. I have been bringing my 11 year old here since they opened and always leave so thankful that I found them.

I had my first visit and Dr. Randinelli was wonderful! She was very personable and made sure I got all my questions answered. This was probably the first time my pup felt comfortable at the vet and I couldn't ask for more. So happy to be joining such a welcoming place!

This was such a relaxed and welcoming environment!! It was easy and comforting to be there with my dog. Everyone was so friendly/Helpful- the vet tech Sarah and Dr. McKaskil were so caring, and answered all of my questions, no matter how silly they seemed! I highly recommend this practice for your fury friends!

I've lived in Charleston my entire life and been to lots of different vets but Charleston Harbor stands out above the rest. Every staff member is Super Friendly and knowledgeable. Dr Kahuda is very thorough and gave me tips and ideas for raising a puppy. Love it here!
