Best experience ever! My car wouldn’t start in the morning, called Al’s Service and they got my car in that day and got me all fixed up. Walked me through all the issues, Jackie gave me the best advice for what I was needing. Got the parts ordered and I was back on the road the next day! Very trustworthy and reliable. I know when I take my car there that it is in the best hands possible! Thank you Joe, Jackie and everyone at Al’s Service!!

Great customer service especially at the front desk. The feeling of honesty is felt right up front. That goes along their knowledge of the auto, a long time knowledge of the working, which gives the comfort u want in a mechanic

I’ve gone to Al’s a few times and the impression I get is honesty. They seem up front and don’t talk to you like they’re trying to “sell you the fix” to your own vehicle.

Also, they seem like a real shop… I’m not an expert, but this group seems as though they can perform actual repairs as well as just replacing parts, (like Dobbs or your local dealer).

Joe and his staff at Al's service have been my goto repair and inspection team for over 15 years. No business if perfect but they are about as close as it gets. Old school shop with old school service and business principles, and right in my area. Give them a chance and you won't regret it!

This review is long over due. My note got stashed in my pile of to-dos. We service all 6 of our cars at Al’s Service. It is always a great experience. Starting when you open the door and Remy greets you, learning what needs to be completed and why and checking out. My children always complained when they were away at college and had to have any work on their vehicles. At a very young age, they recognized how Al’s Service was superior to what they were receiving in Columbia. If you can feel good about sending your children to Al’s Service, then I highly recommend it for your family and friends.

Highly recommend this shop. I moved to the Kirkwood area 3 years ago. This shop happened to be around the corner from my house, and I’ve used them on two separate occasions. I have no complaints about their service, transparency, or the quality of work they performed on my car. They always have my vehicle out in a timely matter, very communicative during the process, and have never taken advantage of me when it comes to repairs/pricing. Very fair and very kind employees. They also came to tow my car in the middle of the day, which I really appreciated on such short notice. I will definitely be a returning customer!

Joe and the crew goes above and beyond to ensure my concerns are addressed appropriately. He is a very hard worker, is honest and goes out of his way 100% and more to keep my vehicles running smoothly. Thanks to the Al’s Service team for being so great year after year!!! You never disappoint!!!

Honesty, Integrity, and Exceptional Customer Service. This is the best way to describe Al's. When I moved to the Kirkwood area two years ago Al's was recommended to me, and I have been very impressed. Yesterday afternoon I had car issues where I was stranded at Big Bend and Kirkwood Rd. I called Jackie, and within a few minutes Joe had stopped what he was doing to come tow my car, and also managed to fix it by the end of business. They were also kind enough to give me a ride home. This is just one example of how they go above and beyond. If you're in search of an honest service shop I highly recommend Al's.

Love the warm welcome every time I walk in and the amazing & fast service that is always provided. For being such a small shop with an even smaller crew Al's is great and efficient. Love them.

There have only been two places I trust my car to, the one is in Maplewood and the other one is Al's Service. Al's is just up the street from me so they are convenient, trustworthy, and always the right price. They're honest and straightforward with me whenever I need to talk to them on the phone. They're a fast turn around and don't take a lot of time.

I love going to Al’s as they are completely honest with me! Pricing is great- and i know when i go I’m only spending money on things that really need to be done now or to prevent in the future. I bought a new car in 2017 and have been using the dealer, and i hates how i couldn’t get direct answers. I won’t go anywhere else :)

Ive been going to Joe since he was a kid! He started as Al's go to! Now he runs the shop. He is about my age, and runs the a very professional shop! Never had to complain once in 33 years! Joe is the man!
