Dallas County Youth Village

I did a year there, when I was about 14years old... From June 7,1994 ~ June 7,1995... Miss earl was my p.o. & I was in B-Dorm... Its a good facility I learned from this boot camp cause I didn't go back once I got release from there & I'm 39years old now with 4 kids...if it wasn't for the youth village staff members'... I don't know where I would of ended up at..Thank to the Youth Village...

This is a good facility for young teens, they offer many programs.

Rules are Rule and set in place for a reason. Discrimination and treating every person as they chose is a violation of their own policy.
You can not allow who you want in for visitation. Skinny jean, leggings ect... If the rule says no then it's just that across the board. But for the supervisors and probation officers say it's okay for some and not the others is definitely against their own policy and a form of discrimination! Something that I will not allow and will make sure that everyone is treated fairly and equal.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This has to be the worst place for your child to be. The supervisors, PO’s and staff could careless about your child. There is very little to no communication with the parent and with phone calls with the child and parent. They will yell at your child during every little phone call you do get with your child. They will not communicate with you if anything happens with your child. They love to play the blame game and tell the parents it’s not their job to investigate incidents that happen or speak with the parent about any complaints the parent may have. They do not care about your child getting better or succeeding. The staff would rather pick fights with you and your child then helping with the issues at hand.

I was supposed to do six months there. I waited 3 months to get there in lone star then stayed a year there. I did get my ged! I ran they took my shoes away. I had fun fighting
