When I tell you my relationship and trust with Caitlyn doing my hair is stronger than my last relationships, I am not kidding you. This woman has been with me through many journeys with my hair over the last four years and I have always gotten raving compliments with each new color we have tried… not to mention I have always walked out completely in love with the magic she has created and 10x more confident than when I walked in. She is not only a technical genius when it comes to blondes and vivids, she is also attentive, engaging and one of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with. I have never not had a good time in her chair, and never not gotten raving compliments on my hair afterwards.
I will recommend her to anyone and everyone until the day I die, and Tried and True salon is absolutely part of that experience. It is one of the most comfortable and fun spaces I have ever had salon services in, the whole staff goes above and beyond and the aesthetic is top notch. Highly recommend this spot.

Tried and True blew me away! I’ve been wanting to get my hair colored for a very long time and decided to finally do it. Through lots of research I found Tried and True. I was so nervous but Kitty made me feel relaxed and excited! Ended up coming out PERFECT! She made my hair look exactly like I wanted and I really enjoyed my time with her. I hope to be able to have my hair done by her again! 10/10 would recommend

My family has been getting our hair cut with Bird for years. He is exactly the kind of barber we’re looking for. He listens to what you want and can translate that into something fabulous. His haircuts also grow out looking good and clean.
Bird’s chair and Tried and True are a safe space to be whomever you are. It’s an easy, no pressure vibe and every body leaves smiling. It’s really true. <3

I saw Grace a week ago and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The shop is eclectic, warm, and inviting. Grace spent time talking to me about my hair routine while getting a feel of my hair texture and how it lays naturally. She really listened to me describe the cut I was looking for and talked with me about better products and things I can do to change things. 12/10! I’m definitely going back

This place is wonderful! Great vibes, very inclusive. Everyone there was kind & I love my haircut.
They even have a cute little back patio area where you can hang while your color develops.

Kitty did a color correction for me, and was so sweet. She fixed a really bad bleach job from another salon, and really listened to what I wanted. I know she's a vivid gal, but she sure knows how to do Blonde!

Tanner has done undercuts on two of my girls, and they are really helpful and kind. They communicated well and listened to what my kids wanted and made it happen.

I recommend T & T to everyone. Fantastic salon.

The vibe of the studio was on point! Felt like i was walking into a tattoo parlor. Greeted and checked in immediately with a complimentary red wine 💜💜 and got to watch Hook while I waited.

All I did was get a trim and I have never been complimented on my hair so much after seeing Kitty!! She made the experience nice and relaxing with being so relatable and kind.

Will definitely be back for more in the future!

Bird has been taking care of my hair and beard for nearly two years now. The consistency and care he puts into his work really shines through. I always get compliments on my cuts and especially my beard.
Bird will really work with you to find a style that suits you and makes you look your best. I'm really thankful that I found such a talented barber and also for the community and vibe that Tried and True brings to Denton.

This was one of the best exp I've ever had with hairdresser and Salon. The entire staff was nice, the atmosphere was amazing. Skyler, the lady I booked with took time to talk to me about my coloring and haircut. I wanted alt look and touch up my split-dye and she completely blew my expectation out of the water and really worked with me when came to my fine hair and pulling off the cut I wanted. I highly suggest this place and Skyler. She is amazing!

Dahlia went above and beyond to make my hair exactly how I wanted it to. I brought in a picture and she made it freaking happen! I left feeling so good. Will definitely be coming back to see her again.

Kitty consistently amazes me with her application of color as well as how great her company is! When I'm in her chair I know I'm walking out looking my best and being treated like a friend while I'm there!

Today was the first time I had ever been to Tried and True salon and I will never go anywhere else. Bird was so attentive, kind, and gave me the BEST custom haircut I’ve ever had. My curly hair has been brought to LIFE after being limp and weighed down. Bird and Tried and True made my day, possibly my whole week. They sincerely embody the whole meaning of the beauty industry: making people feel beautiful and empowered in their truest selves.

There’s quite literally nobody I trust besides Skyler to get my mullet looking perfect ❤ after some truly horrific experiences at other local salons, I feel incredibly lucky to have found a stylist I love! She’s always courteous, easy to chat with, and gets my hair perfect every time without fail. She does such a great job that I’ve sent my husband to her for haircuts, and his ALSO look 10/10 amazing. The salon itself is such a fun atmosphere with easy scheduling and fantastic employees! A true Denton square gem 🫶

Today was my first time at Tried and True, it was amazing! Tanner was so friendly and fun and did a wonderful job on my layers and blowout. I love the vibe and atmosphere, the most comfortable I’ve felt at a salon, ever! Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here since they opened and I absolutely love this salon. My barber is Bird and he has become a very close friend of mine. I love him and he is phenomenal at what he does. So grateful for this salon and the safe space it provides.

I was lucky to get in at the last minute and I am so happy I found them! The staff is so sweet and the stylists did exactly what I wanted to my hair. Such a cool salon, as well. Will definitely be going here from now on!

I got my hair cut my Eli Bird, I had a friend recommend me after explaining to her I’d had terrible haircuts I had been unsatisfied with for the past two years.

Eli did not disappoint!!! 10/10, very much took my hair concerns, wants and needs into consideration. Finally have a haircut I’m happy styling and playing with. Will be going back.

This was my first time doing vivid colors and Allison was recommended by a friend of mine. I was nervous yet excited!! Allison was amazing from start to finish!! She was super friendly and professional. She explained everything in detail and seemed just as exited as I was!! I 100% recommend Allison for cut/color/styling, really anything to do with your hair!! I am already planning my next coloring!!

I cannot express how truly happy I am with my hair. I was worried that I was asking for too much by changing from one vivid color, red, to another, green. But this is what my hair looked like in just 3-4 hours! My stylist Gee knew exactly what she was talking about and talked me through each step and made sure I was comfortable the entire time. Not to mention the complimentary mimosa was delicious while jamming out to music. The vibes are just Immaculate! Tried & True has become my official salon of choice 🖤
