This is an amazing walking, biking, running…trail.
Great for families, dogs, seniors and everything in between.
It is a nice flat trail, extra wide, super safe!

Great morning walk! Flat, dirt trail with a little gravel. Not busy mid-week. Beautiful views of the river and some wildlife. You can start at Steamboat Landing and walk here and beyond. You can also walk to the nature preserve. Beautiful park on the river and a great walk!

We're new to Washougal, so we decided to check it out for Mother's Day. We loved it!!! It was a tad bit hot, so we'll definitely have to come back better prepared and ready to play in the water.

It’s a nice place to take my dog so she can swim around. Depending on the river level, the beach may be underwater. But there is still aces and acres of grass and woods to roam around. There are some bathrooms as well.

I really love this place! It’s located in Washougal. Clean parking lot and bathrooms. Well maintained. A short walk from the parking lot to the beach area. Their is a walking path if you don’t want to walk on the beach. I love the sunsets. Be sure to pack a lunch or snack and hang out here for the day. Please don’t leave your trash behind, since their are trash cans near the entrance.

Not sure I want to share this review as it's a coveted spot. 😀 An enjoyable, adventure walk on the beach, low or high tide, without driving to the coast. Forget it in the summer as it's packed wall to wall bodies. But when school is back in, it's a haven. Pets are allowed and I see lots of dog walkers coming over from the causeway to the beach. But please scoop the poop people. Walk a little further up and see Beavers damn. Great historical site for education and learning moments with the well placed signage and interesting stories. Never gets old. Another perk of living in the great PNW.

Stumbled upon this park on a roadtrip through the Gorge and was very happy I did. The area was beautiful, well-kept, and in great proximity to Cottonwood Beach. I'll definitely be visiting again, possibly even for future portrait photoshoots.

We love coming here to walk along the trails and the beach. It's beautiful in the summer to spend time next to the water on the soft, warm sand. In the winter we walk along the paths away from the river to stay out of the wind.

There are public restrooms here and lots of free parking.

Good place to play PokemonGo. Has park benches and grills for family outings, some of which are covered. Multiple beach openings for playing in the river. Also just a nice trail to go for walks along when the weather is nice.

Beautiful all sand south facing beach on a mellow stretch of the mighty Columbia River. Great bit of Lewis and Clark history. Benches, picnic tables, swimming, decent parking.
