North Holiday Park

Picnic and barbecue. Long and short trails. Large parking space. Saw some people enjoying horse riding too. Clean restrooms. Dog friendly.

Found this place by mistake last year 2022 but I have been going to it either early in the morning or late evening to enjoy watching nature, the sunrise/sunset.

The park is kept clean for the most part. Haven't swam here yet but the shores are nice and lots of private areas.

Last visit was February 16th when it was cold 😆😂😂🤣🤣🤣 saw lots of Deer though that day

Will be going to visit North Holiday Park more often now

Nice family place to cookout, fish or take a boat out.

Nice area has tables n space for swimming or fishing. Could put n kayak in. Family day barbeque

Very pleasant way to spend a dedicated day for enjoyable outdoor experiences. Such a boating, fishing, hiking,trail rides and swimming.

Even though Benbrook Lake was several feet above normal this place worked well for a baptism on May 22nd.

Fun place to relax and cool off

Have stayed here 3 times and enjoyed the quiet. Lake is beautiful and lots of deer squirrel and turkey.
It's a shame that people litter so bad here. Cigarette butts every where along with trash. A park this big I'm sure it's hard for maintenance to keep up.
Very few level sights which makes it hard to park a big rv and get it level. The level ones are almost always sold out.

Very peaceful and if you can make it to the river and see some ducks, get them some crackers and they will be happy.

On a whim my friend and I rode our Ducati motorcycles out to this park. Which is about a 2 and 1/2 hour ride for us because we go the long twisty way. It was well worth the 5-Hour round trip. We got to watch sale surfers flying in the wind at the lake. Incredible!

This is a very well manicured and very well maintained local small town park. This is what America used to be like. It's a shame we don't see this more often.

We went to swim! It was really fun. I have young kids, so I appreciated that it wasn't too deep. There are picnic benches with shade but they are back from the water - we brought our own shade and chairs so we could be right on the water. The beach is rocky. We managed in bare feet but I'll bring water shoes next time. Bathrooms are near by. The parking lot is about 100 yards from the lake without a path, so kinda far to lug stuff, but again, we managed.

Great place to go all year round. If you just want to get out for a beautiful drive you can be warm/cool in your car while driving right down by the lake. Picnic tables and grills. Fishing. Loaner life jackets for boaters. Shallow to deep water for whatever your fishing preference. Great wildlife- birds, deer, armadillos, what have you.

Love going out there at sunset with the dogs! So pretty

Nice park. Have stayed here several times over the last few years. We go to the Ft. Worth symphony several times a year. Getting back before the gate is locked is very difficult, even if you make no stops.

Great place for anything! A picnic, fishing, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, just lay on a blanket and read. Or nap! Well kept grounds and restrooms sprinkled throughout the park. Picnic tables and grills available. Pick your spot! Great nature watching, especially for the birds. And a friendly and inviting staff will greet you at the check-in guard house!

We went here as a last resort this past weekend because every other camping place within an hour from FW was booked. So so pleasantly surprised! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. You get a lot of space to yourself, so we definitely felt like we had a lot of privacy. The entrance was affordable compared to the other places we had looked at. The hiking trail was cool! It was too cold to swim so cannot attest to the swimming, but it seemed more like a lounge around and fish place. All in all, highly recommend!

We love visiting North Holiday Park! My kids love to skip rocks and in the warming weather they often go swimming. We see lots of wildlife and enjoy the trails. This Christmas they had Christmas ornaments up on the trees along the aquamarine trail!

The woman at the front gate let us know we could have our dogs with us just anywhere in the park, but the beach-swimming area. We set up on a shady spot under a tree right on the water. Had a lovely time. Not as trashy as some of these lake parks tend to be, but maybe that's because we were away from all three people.

We got a "day pass" to check out park. The lady was very pleasant & showed us where to go. My husband & I are new to the RV experience & plan on making it there soon.

There are lots of pavilions and I saw a barbecue pit at the one I was near. I was fishing, and right now the lake water is extremely high so there are lots of weeds and snags but the fish were biting! Saw people catching Sand Bass, catfish, crappie.
