Sharkey's Cuts for Kids - Southlake Texas

We absolutely loved our experience and hair stylist, Kenna. She is so gentle, kind and very good at cutting our sons super straight hair. She makes sure that you are satisfied and love the hair cut. Our son use to hate haircuts but with Kenna, he never cried so we truly appreciate the quality, care and professionalism Kenna shows us each time we come!

Our sweet boy absolutely loves Sharkeys, he won’t get his hair cut anywhere else! He is always excited to go to Sharkeys and of course enjoys the gaming systems and the free treat at the end. We saw Kenna today and she did a fantastic job on his Mohawk! She gave us lots of tips on styling!

The only reason I'm giving it a 5star review is thanks to Kenna. After having a horrible experience with another hairdresser Kenna called and offered to fix something she didn't ruin for free. She is the best hands down and I recommend her 100% I thank her for the amazing job she did fixing my daughters hair and it was extremely horrible. She did an amazing job and I'm so happy. Moving forward no one but her will be touching her hair. I wish I would of took better pics but her hair looks amazing.

07-22-2023 my experience today was not good at all. I was booked for 11 with kenna was called and asked if 11:20 was ok I said yes I got there and keena was busy I was given Patricia. They did ask if I wanted to wait or if it was ok. I said it was ok I wanted to give her a shot.She was sweet and really friendly but cut my daughters hair super crooked. The right backside was cut super uneven and it was super noticable. The lady's at the front were super lovely they asked her to fix it. However it still looks horrible.The left side is longer from the front .I had originally said below her shoulder and it's above. The lady's at the front blow dry it and did her nails and tried to make our experience good again and I appreciate it however after her shower and drying her hair. I am super upset with how it's looking. I'm hoping it's better by the time school starts but I doubt it. Now I have to find a different place to take her and have them fix it And pay again and spend more money than I should because it wasn't done right the first time.

This was our first time at Sharkey's and it was amazing. Kenna was in charge of my daughters haircut and went above and beyond. We loved it and will definitely be back. She got a mani, balloon and lollypop 10/10 best service we have ever got

Kenna.G did an AMAZING job! She styled our daughter's hair exactly how we wanted and quickly too. She also did our son's first haircut and was patient and super friendly. She squeezed him in so we would not have to come back later and I could tell she loves what she does and made it an awesome experience for us all.

We were having trouble cutting our 2 year old's hair because he hated haircuts. Most attempts ended up in a very uneven cut and a lot of meltdowns. We were able to get a full cut that looked good at Sharkey's, and our stylist, Kenna, was professional and gentle. She clearly had a lot of experience with children.

Sharkey's is also equipped with a lot of things that help distract and entertain the kids. If you want to avoid the headache of a toddler haircut, it's a good option to take.

Had an amazing time here with my daughter. Neary cut her hair and was amazing with her and I adored the mini makeover. I absolutely loved this play highly recommend. The whole staff had amazing customer service! Coming back for sure!

This place is the best!! Kenna did a wonderful job fixing my 4 year old son's hair after a he received a bad haircut at another salon. She is so good with small children and made my son feel comfortable in her chair! We will be coming back to this location for all future appointments!

Kenna did a fabulous job on my daughter's hair. I took my daughter's to Sharkey's about 2 months ago where another hairdresser did an ok job. My daughter's hair was half way down her back and she chopped it into a short bob. When it was time to get it trimmed again I booked with Kenna specifically because of the her reviews. She did a fantastic job and it looks so much better than the initial cut. If your kiddo has a bob haircut go see Kenna.

We’ve been going here for years. All four of my children really enjoy the experience. What stands out to me most of all is how well the staff works with my kids.

The older three are always eager to get their hair done but what stands out to me is how they are with my youngest son. Kenna, just by coincidence, has always helped my youngest son when we come in.

Despite the complications that come with him needing a wheel chair and difficulty with gross motor function, Kenna has always worked really well with my son.

She gave him his first haircut as I held him and every haircut after that. She’s very good about adapting to his movements and helping him to be calm while they sing “Wheels on the Bus” together. She’s truly an empathetic and patient angel. Everyone is great about asking what we need and what will work best for him versus making assumptions. There are so many challenges and anxieties as we navigate everyday life and my son’s condition but Sharkey’s isn’t one of them thanks to Kenna and the ladies at Sharkey’s.

HIGHLY recommend Kenna! She did my sons hair cut and it looks amazing. She was patient and gentle which we needed. This was the first time my son sat through a haircut and did not scream/cry. I am so happy and will be returning :)

Great kids hair cuts. Fast but not rushed, Kenna and her daughters are truly awesome! She is able to do exactly what we ask for our boys. And we are picky!

Kenna is the best!! She gave my son his favorite haircut 4 years but we had to move.. we we’re finally able to make the drive and it absolutely worth it!! She did such an awesome job he loves his hair and looks amazing!! We will definitely keep making the drive. Thank you Kenna!!❤

Karoline and Kenna are awesome with my 2 year old twins! Super patient and my boys feel comfortable around them. They have always given great hair cuts to my boys!! Highly recommend!

My almost 4 year old Autistic son has been going to this Sharkey’s since his first haircut at 1years old. They are so compassionate and caring for him. I drive about 30-40 mins for his haircuts because they are so great. Not only is he autistic so he moves around a lot but he also has extremely tight curly hair. They have always done such a wonderful job on his hair and with him. I refuse to take him anywhere else because he has gotten really comfortable with all the staff and they all treat him so well. Mrs. Kim is the absolute BEST!! She knew exactly what I wanted and had all the patience in the world with my son I would give her 10 stars if I could! I'll drive 30 minutes just for her.

Sharkey’s is a great, friendly location in a building with a lot of other great children/family activities as well.

We were thrilled with the recommendation of Sharkey's from a friend! We took our 3 year old here for her first cut, and it went way better than expected thanks to the staff. It's so nice to have a local kid-oriented salon.

Sharkey’s is the best place to take your kids to get a professional haircut, style, nails and all that girly stuff for the little princesses in your life! While my girls are all grown now and I only have a young prince at home, I sure wish Sharkey’s would’ve been around long time ago when my girls were growing up because I would’ve definitely taken them here! We have brought my son to both Southlake and Watauga locations and they are both professional and great at what they do! Our son has used a few stylists but really likes Mirna a lot and she is so good and patient at what she does!

Yolanda, the owner, is really nice and will definitely take the time out of her day to listen to any concerns or complaints you might have and she will do all she can to resolve things in a timely manner. Please keep that in mind before you go online and post a negative review if you’re dissatisfied in any way, and understand that the staff here does the very best they can to keep appointment times accurate and when there’s any delays, they will always communicate with you so you can understand what to expect.

We love Sharkey’s and will continue to come back time and time again! Thanks for being a great role model in this business and doing the best y’all can especially during these difficult times dealing with Covid-19 and all the protocols that have been put in place!
