Great Wolf Lodge Water Park | Grapevine

Wolf pack checking in!! My family decided to pick this resort for a water park weekend vacation. Checking in was a breeze and finding our room was as well. The first night we just checked out all the local shops, and had a blasting time at the grounds. The second day we started off with Starbucks coffee and the kids did the magi Quest. The water park kept the kids entertained for hours. I only ventured in the hot tub for about 45 min. The positive for the hot tub was adults only but it looked kind of dirty with brown scum hanging for the filter area, so I didn’t stay in it very long. My food choice at the resort was the lodge. Choices were slim but I pick the wilderness bowl which was really good. When crashing out for the night prepare to sleep on low quality bedding because the bunk beds felt like baby beds and also the other beds felt cheap. Also the amenities were few such as blankets pillows and towels. Also if you check out an extra towel for the water park, be sure to return it to avoid an additional charge. My overall experience was pretty nice but the sleep was slim. If I was asked to come back I would answer yes but I would definitely pack my own pillow and blanket.

Our daughter decided she wanted to go here instead of having a party. It was a fantastic idea and we had a great time. Take advantage of having tickets to the park part the whole time by getting there early and staying after checkout.

The water temps were warm and comfortable. It was a little chilly going from slide to slide or pool. But that was to be expected in December. The rooms were big and clean. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Wonderful experience. Check in/out was simple and easy. Staff were friendly and nice throughout our stay. The wristbands were awesome because they serve as your room key and a form of payment throughout the park. We went on a holiday weekend and it didn't feel crowded. Lines to rides moved fast and they were very fun. Our LO is only 45 inches and she could everything except one ride (riding with us), which was awesome. The waterpark was a good size, not too big or too small. Get to the park early to find a table to put your stuff down.

Took my daughter here for her 5th birthday for the day. We didn’t stay the night but we’re able to experience many of the attractions. She loved the water park and the build a bear workshop. We will have to stay the night next time.

Great experience!! I had to make a ton of changes to our original reservation. I messed the entire thing up. We had so more kids coming. They had to split our rooms into two rooms. They were so helpful and easy to work with. Great experience with making changes to my reservation. Can’t wait to go this weekend.

This was our first time at Great Wolf Lodge and I heard mixed reviews. However we were seriously impressed with the experience. The staff from the front desk, the lifeguards, and in the restaurants were all professional. I've been to amusement parks in the past that seem to skip the safety trainings for their staff and it can seem a bit sketchy. That is not the case at this location, all of the staff were well trained and attentive. Great job great wolf lodge My family and I could tell that you put a big emphasis on properly training your staff and providing a great, and safe, family experience.

We had another great experience here in Grapevine. The elevators were over crowded but it's spring break, it's too be expected. The kids had a blast. We stayed in the loft suite, there was so much room! I will have a video up on you tube soon. @villainwat2262

My kids LOVE going here. The staff are friendly and the inside water park is clean and the life guards are attentive.

The food and arcade have become very expensive here. But, thankfully you can bring your own food into the lodge.

The free activities in the common area are great for kids.

I recommend this place for kids under 10.

My girls love this place. Hope to visit all the locations! We have been to Grapevine 3 times and Colorado 1 time. I always look for deals and go during the school year when it's less expensive and there are fewer people. Highly recommend buying the Wolf pass or pup if you have little ones. The quest games are so fun and interactive so it keeps them super entertained. Saves a ton of money to buy the pass. Also highly recommend the dining pass. Maybe not for all days but at least get breakfast and one day's worth of dining because it's worthwhile if you really want to save you can take food to your room and eat in the room. This has become a yearly tradition.

We stayed in the Kid Kamp room and the kids really enjoyed having their own space. I wouldn’t think the Lodge was as old as it is with how well they keep it up. The kids really enjoyed the water park. The new ice cream shop by the water park entrance was very good. The water park had lots of lifeguards and life vests! We didn’t eat any of the food within the Lodge, but if you haven’t been to Hard Eight BBQ you should!

Great place for k8ds and young teens. Safe, entertaining, stress free n convenient for all family members. Good location too

Employees are very professional. Water park is excellent. A couple of the large slides are moderately intense. They do need more Double Tubes so children can go with adult. When you plan, I would NOT SHOW UP on Friday afternoon to check in. They have hundreds of check ins all at once so the lines go all the way down the halls to check in. That is NOT the Hotel's fault. They had ALL clerks open and checking in as fast as possible. We arrived on Thursday, and checked in FAST. If you show up Friday afternoon or evening, expect a bit of a delay to check in. Agains STAFF was great. Just a few rude customers that were discourteous to staff, which is disturbing. Most patrons were really great. Oh, their breakfast is excellent. Buy the breakfast package!

We never get tired of the park, it’s so much fun! We are a big family with 6 children ages 7 to 23 years old. Our kids literally grew up here, some of them are teens now, some are just big enough to finally ride the coveted Red Slide (it’s a right of passage), and we have one young adult but what they all have in common is they absolutely LOVE Great Wolf Lodge and it’s all they ever want to do, so we go as often as we can.

There are actually a lot of amusement options available in DFW, and we’re locals so we’ve been to most of them, but GWL is by far the absolute best. It’s not just the waterpark, it’s the staff, the great food, the cozy accommodations, the gift store, the arcade, all the little workshops that come with each visit, they’ve really thought of everything so that when we book a stay we have no reason to leave.

We make trips throughout the year in January, March, August, November, and pretty much anytime we can find an excuse. GWL is year round fun so the temperature inside is always right. This stay was during a school week so it was a short staycation for us, we visited March 3rd and 4th. This time around they gave us gold VIP badges for coming so often so that was a fun surprise, and something cool to add to our scrap book.

The staff is excellent, Carolyn was very warm and thoughtful at check-in and I cannot say enough great things about Victoria, we absolutely love her, she was very happy, helpful, and kind to us. Victoria looked after our every need, anytime I had an inquiry she’d answer my question and would go the extra mile to solve it, and there was such a glowing, positive, and great energy from her that boosted my spirit too, it’s clear she loves being apart of the Wolf Pack so I am glad to have gotten a chance to chat with her a few times during our short visit.

Our stay was in (what I like to call) the penthouse suites (loft) this time around and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the exceptional job housekeeping services does to make the rooms look new again each time, it makes the premium so worth it. Some friends were visiting on the same dates as us so we were able to enjoy a private Cabana for the first time this time around, it was a fantastic bonus to an already amazing stay, almost like a mini extension of the room accommodation but conveniently located right behind the indoor wave pool so that was very special and cozy for us.

Such a pleasure from start to finish, always exceeding our expectations, and the 10 year old we were celebrating on this occasion, said it was “the very BEST Birthday of her life” but, she says that every year we celebrate her birthday at GWL. Thanks for the great Memories Wolf Pack ❤!!!

Great water park, clean and fun!
Our only complaint is that they charged us for the towels for not returning to the water park location. We did return the towels to the lady room service and thought that was what we supposed to do. No one said anything about returning them to a specific location when we borrowed them. When we already left (PAST 11am the checking out time), they sent us a text message to inform us about returning the towels or else they charge us. What’s the point of sending a text way past the checking out time knowing that people are already left??? That’s ridiculous!

Edit: the great wolf lodge refunded the fees for the towels. They deserve a 5-stars. Will be back

I brought my family, children and grandchildren. They had a great time, as did my husband and me. Our rooms a. nd beds were over the hill. Definitely recommend to people of any age. The water play was perfect for everyone. The children ages 9 months to 10 years loved the water. Our 9 month baby loved the endless pool. He crawled in it for an hour at least!

It's a "Great" place to take your kids for some indoor water park fun. We visited during the 2nd weekend of spring break so it was really packed. Although I feel that it's a bit overpriced, it is very conveniently located in Grapevine. We live right next door in Euless so it was a quick drive here. We usually go to Kalahari in Round Rock which is 3 hours away. Although it is not as massive and not as new as Kalahari, it definitely does a good job in keeping the kiddos occupied during a staycation.

Our family overall had a great time here. The majority of the staff was friendly, helpful, and kind. We had packages that were convenient and made our stay a little easier. I liked that the wristbands were connected to everything (except lockers)- and we didn't have to carry things around. There was a lot of entertainment, the MagiQuest was awesome (highlight for our family), and of course the Waterpark.
We had a themed room, which was well worth the extra cost. 😀
The arcade was the only frustrating spot. The way the games use/count points is bizarre. The manager (possibly supervisor) was rude and less than accommodating when we ran into problems. If we return, we will skip the arcade as there are plenty of other activities happening.

Valentines/Birthday/Grandkids for a week = FUN 🤩

The kiddos loved the wolves den, pools, slides,restaurants, characters, scavenger hunt, and the cabanas poolside was a relief and SERVICE WAS TOP-NOTCH!

The ENTIRE staff was a pleasure for the week. They went above and beyond for our family. Thank you for the memories.

1st to start off, yes this place is expensive but it also has a lot to offer. We went on a package deal for a room and water park access, we ended up upgrading the room to the wolf den. The 2 boys loved the "private" room with bunk beds and allowed the wife and I some down time. The resort has a lot to do but your going to pay for a lot of it. There are some free things like arts and craft, some shows and other activites. Very clean and staff was amazing. Water park was lots of fun and Thankfull not that packed. Lot of life guards and was very well organized, allowing us to sit with decent view of most the park. Highly recommend.

Definitely recommend for spring break! You can take your kiddos and take em there, they have indoor water parks if you don’t want your child to get sick due to the bad weather in Dallas, but it’s super fun! There’s ice cream, Starbucks, Pizza Hut, a mini Great Wolf Lodge merch, and build a bear! But again definitely recommend!
