La Playa Maya Mexican Restaurant

Ive been coming to this place for most of my life, super delicious food!
I always get the Mexican dinner, cant go wrong with that!

La Playa Maya is authentic Mexican food. My husband ordered the cowboy tacos with charro beans, so amazing. This dish is his favorite. My daughter had the cheese enchiladas and I ordered the cowboy enchiladas, they were good but the cowboy tacos are the item to order. Our daughter ordered the horchata to drink, it was very good.
Service was outstanding. Everyone was very nice. Great place for authentic Mexican food.

Update: Last night I went to eat at Playa Maya Stockyards with my family who’s visiting from out of town. I loved this place before so I went back. Based on my review before, the manager was very nice and accommodating and definitely made the past experience right. I will continue eating here and recommending it to anyone who visits me from anywhere. 10/10. Fish tacos are the best.

They should really specify that this is what $17 dollars large nachos with beef is when ordering for delivery. Absolutely horrible. Waited over 1.5 hours for this, too. Do not order delivery/Uber eats from here.

It's been a long time since I've been to La Play Maya. Use the go to the location by the stock yards. Drove by this location on Hemphill and decided to try it. Glad I did. The food was as good as I remembered. The service was exceptional and friendly. I ordered the Mexican Dinner. It was so good. I'll be coming back here sooner than later

This restaurant is so incredibly packed during the day I just had to stop thank God I did the food is so delicious the people are so very relaxed happy and helpful great service stop at this restaurant if you never have you’ve got to try the whole experience

If I could give yall a 10 I would!! The food was completely on point, seasoned perfect and just yummy! The service was just as amazing!! This is the best Mexican I have had in years!! Will definitely be coming back over and over. Thank you for giving us such an incredible experience!!

This restaurant was really good from the moment we walked in the services was great. We ordered a couple drinks and they hit the spot. We then ordered some food and the food had great flavor. I would definitely recommend for anyone to try this restaurant.

Love this place! They have the best food! I get the chimichanga and it’s always amazing! The rice and beans and super flavorful! Can’t wait to come again

Went here for an impromptu date night with my wife. Though they were busy, we were sat very quickly. Everything was fantastic! Appetizer of Queso Flameado and two choices from the house specials section of the menu. The only thing to be mindful of is the relatively close seating arrangements. It was literally once a home, so expect sectioned off homey atmosphere rather than a big dining area. Otherwise we are extremely excited to return for some delicious food!

Great food at a great price. The entire staff was so friendly. Will definitely be back!

I have been to this place a couple of times now. One of my coworkers hosted his birthday party here since it’s not far from our workplace and we went back again for dinner on a different occasion.
The restaurant is great with huge parking 🅿 lots.Service is great and the place was clean.

I felt like the food was a little pricey comparing to other similar foods but honestly the atmosphere made it worth spending a little more money on food and drinks.

I will definitely come back again.

Their food is delicious! The servings are big and the staff is great! Awesome atmosphere especially outside on the porch. The coldest beer I've had in years. I would recommend to everyone!

Outdoor dining, hot chips, salsa is great. Menu is varied and reasonable prices. The peas and carrots in with the rice threw me, but no worries, great meal.

Cinco de Mayo margaritas were raved about by my friends. Food was fantastic. The Cowboy Tacos!

Marco took great care of us - definitely order the made-tableside guac (Mama's Guac). Great atmosphere on the patio.

Went with a group of 7 around noon for lunch. There was not a long wait. They found us a nice table. The server was fantastic. She got our orders correct. The srvice was quick. Great experience!
