Raleigh County Public Library

Raleigh County Public Library is also a fun-new adventure with lots of different activities and things to get into. They are always hosting different events for the community that are engaging and educational. We’ve spent countless hours at the library simply doing imaginative play or diving into some good books. You can’t go wrong at the local library.

I think it is important to go to places like this and support your community resources. There are computers there where I see people applying for jobs and checking their email. It's good to take your children there that way they can pick out a book to read even if it's a simple book. There are a lot of less fortunate in our area who go here just to read the paper and catch up on the news and maybe find a book or a movie to keep them entertained. We have a very nice Raleigh County Public Library but also the Shady library is top notch.

I was searching for my grandparents grave site, since I hadn't visited W. Virginia in 20-30 years. The ladies working were so helpful & even printed out the information I was searching for. Within minutes we were at the gravesite & found them. I am so grateful to these two ladies, they have no idea what that meant to me. For I was there to spread my moms ashes with her parents & sister. Thank you ladies, so much for your assistance. It truly meant the world to me.

I am working on genealogy. My grandmother, Frances Bailey, had been a teacher at Lincoln School 1929-50 but I couldn't find any information through Google or Ancestry so I tried the library. Although, the lovely young lady, Elizabeth, did not have info there, she was able to guide me to a site that may be helpful. I really appreciate her time.

Love my public library. We resumed (after 1 yr. o f Covid) our bookclub meetings . We have them on the last Thursday of the month. All are invited. The library thru WV Library Commission provides the books. You can request books on line they will get them from libraries thru out the county,then pk them up when notified. Great Library, great staff.

The ladies of the Beckley Library are "The Real Liberians of Raleigh County "... they are always helpful and friendly..courtesy shown in every way... when u go in ask for the lady nickname "the School Teacher."..

I loved it there I'm new to the Beckley area and they were super nice and helped me out they always are giving away old books so I got a few new books to read the day I went they were actually having a rummage sale so that was cool

They do so much for the kids and the community. They always have something going on for any age group. I've been going for 25 years now and they just keep doing more.

Library is good place get a book to read. Or movie that you want to take home and watch. I'll be glad when they get back to normal for you to use the restroom if you need to.

Very nice place clean and orderly. The staff that they have there are very good at what they do go out of their way to help you find what you're looking for

Awesome customer service. The representative are nice and she even thought I forgot something and came outside to give it to me. I love this place.

I've always loved this library!! Especially the children's area. The Librarians are always helpful and kind.
