King Tut Drive-In

My family grew up in Beckley and King Tut was always a staple for food. We unfortunately moved away and many years later we are back visiting and just had to stop here for the sake of nostalgia. It is exactly how we remembered it. Delicious food and still the same friendly service. The experience is what makes it so fun and the menu goes on forever. King Tut was part of my childhood and I'm so happy to experience it again in my adult years.

We tried King Tut Drive-In for the first time on Saturday. While it did take us 40 minutes to get our food, it *was* on a graduation weekend/prom weekend AND they were packed, so it was understandable!

We ended up getting a couple chicken parmesan sandwiches, waffles fries, mac & cheese bites, and a chocolate milkshake.
-Waffles fries were AWESOME. When fresh, they had a crunchy exterior with a soft interior. They were also tossed in what seemed be brown sugar/cinnamon and it made for some delicious waffle fries.
-Mac & cheese bites were super tasty. Good flavor.
-Chocolate milkshake was good! Nothing wild, but also not bad - just a standard, solid shake.
-The chicken parmesan sandwiches were nice. They're served on a regular circle bun, not a hoagie bun. The chicken was moist, there was plenty of cheese, and it tasted fresh.

Our experience at King Tut was good and we'll definitely be back!

I visited this place over the weekend, after 10 years of being away from town. It was great to see that the place was still thriving and busy. I ordered the Chicken Wrap, Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, and Tater Tots. I noticed that many dine-in customers were enjoying the hotdogs, which looked very appetizing. My to-go order took around 40 minutes to be ready, so call ahead for take out orders.

First time I have been here in about 30 years. The service was great, even though the server has to run all over the parking lot. The food is still fantastic after all of these years. I was surprised at how many items they have on the menu

We heard about King Tut from one of our friends and decided to give it a try since we were in Beckley. We pulled in and someone came to take our order within a couple minutes. We ordered a couple sandwiches and a couple of appetizers to go and after about 15-20 minutes, we got our food.

We ordered the Mac and cheese bites, sweet potato waffle fries, and two chicken parmesan sandwiches. The Mac and cheese bites were crispy and very, very cheesy. The sweet potato fries had a great topping of some sort of sugar and cinnamon blend. The sandwiches were excellent as well, with a generously thick slice of cheese, some good marinara sauce, and a perfectly fried chicken patty. The chicken was juicy with perfectly cooked breading.

With places like these that have so many different and seemingly unrelated options, it can seem like a gamble as far as if the food will actually be good or not. This doesn't seem to be the case here, as everything we got was great and perfectly prepared. We'll definitely be back to try more things from King Tut, because we were very happy with our first visit.

My husband doesn't like to eat in the car, but I loved it. Good food, great prices, great and friendly service.

We didn't know what to expect here. Items on the menu sounded good, so we stopped. You park and someone comes out to your car to take your order. It takes a little longer but well worth the wait! Everything we had was really good and filling (they give you a lot) and a good price. They bake their own rolls there and they are awesome!

I had to travel for work. Have been up and down the East Coast. King Tut has the best hamburger/ cheeseburger I have ever eaten. The king burger is my favorite. Homemade bun with fresh made hamburger all fresh toppings. Make me hurry to think about it. They also have a BBQ sandwich on the homemade bun. And the best pizza in the state. Can’t say enough about all the great food King Tuts had

Not gonna lie, was sketched when we pulled up. I was SO wrong. Server was nice and accommodating. Food took a bit long but also they were packed. I got a burger with Pepsi and potato wedges. The burger was Soo good and I could kinda tell the meat was hand made as well as the buns. Excellent flavor. Don't forget the wedges. Weirdly they were so good! Not sure how to explain. I would be happy to eat here again next work trip that I drive by.

Food is amazing been coming here for 3 years! Just a heads up, paying by card they will keep it and not understand that fraud is a thing and owner cares less. Over all tho food is great and servers are nice with the exception of 2. I originally put a bad review due to arguing with the owner, but I've had a change in heart. Owner is still p.o.s to me.

This place was great. My waitress was very nice despite it being 25° outside. The burger was small but amazing and the shake was good also. The food was pricey and small but the taste made it worth it. If your in beckly this old school drive in needs to be on your list of places to stop!

Food was simply fantastic. We passed through on our way to vacation, saw the name and just had to stop. We tried the king burger, the bbq sliced pork sandwich, tater tots and a vanilla milkshake. If this place were any closer to home it would be bad for waistline, but I'll stop back anytime I'm in town! I wish I had photos to add to this post, but I was hungry and didn't take any.

Great food! Took about 20 minutes but worth the wait. The drive in is weird but something different and kind of cool. Would go back!

One of my all-time favorites. Menu offers sandwiches to full meals. Bread home-made with homemade pies. Vanilla fountain Cokes delicious. A mainstay in Beckley for many years. Trays brought to vehicle and set in window. Servers come to vehicle to take order.

Burgers are great, sweet potato waffle fries are the best ever and you gotta try the onion petals!

I wanted to just comment and back-up the workers and how hard they work. I worked here years ago and for the people that are upset because there food took so long need to realize, this is a tourist attraction for beckley, and all the fold and i mean just about everything on the menu is HOMEMADE AND HANDMAID. And there almost always short staffed. I've worked several different jobs and this was by far one of the hardest. Go eat on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon when it ain't so busy and you will get top quality. The owners are the best BTW. Keep up the hard work Laides and Pizza ROOM lol

I had never heard of the place since I live half a continent away. Glad I stumbled on it. Great food, nice staff and novel setup. Definitely worth the stop!

Great local treasure. Fast, delicious food for a cheap price.
