Fujiyama Japanese Steak House (Beckley )

I would give them 10 stars if I could!!! SO EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD my husband and I have been driving from southern Va to get it for months! Food is so fresh and drinks are strong, service is always amazing! I HIGHLY recommend!!!! We love sitting by the fire but the whole restaurant is beautiful. We’ve taken all our employees here as well when we were in town on business and they were additionally all impressed.

Food was excellent. Chef was excellent. Had to wait a bit for the check tho it didn't seem busy when the meal was finished. We were checked on & told boxes and the checks would be brought. Returned almost immediately with the to go boxes but then had to wait 15 minutes to get the check. That is the only reason I am taking off one star.

Friendly staff, a little slow to get the grill chef out but that is normal for Hibachi restaurants everywhere. The food servings were quite large and the waitress was very sweet and felt like a kind family member serving on a holiday! The grill chef was peppy and amusing. He shot cooked egg pieces at everyone at the table and got it within an inch or less of their mouth every time. Large serving of quality food served politely in a pleasant atmosphere. The meats are of excellent quality. I'm guessing this is probably the best restaurant in the region.

During a brief stay in Beckley with my wife and two boys, we were fortunate to dine at Fujiyama Restaurant. Despite arriving late, the place was welcoming and served up some of the best sushi we’ve had.

The highlight of the evening was the unexpected generosity of the owner, Jenny. After our meal, she insisted on not charging us because she felt the atmosphere wasn’t up to their usual standard—a detail we hadn’t noticed, as we were too caught up in the warmth and friendliness of the staff. Jenny’s humility and kindness, alongside her genuine concern for her team and guests, made our visit unforgettable.

Fujiyama offered us more than just a meal; it provided a memorable experience that made our trip even more special. We can’t wait to return to Fujiyama on our next trip through Beckley, not just for the incredible sushi, but for the exceptional hospitality that Jenny and her team provide. For those near Beckley, Fujiyama is a must-visit for an evening of great food and warm hospitality.

We go to this location on a regular basis and always have a very good to excellent experience. Service is always very good and the food is normally amazing. We have had an occasional visit where some food is not as good as other times but it is still very good. Highly recommend trying this location for amazing hibachi.

Mightve left a review a year ago too, but this place is amazing. Great food, out of world service, especially if you get Tucker waiting your table.

Was in Beckley for a couple of days visiting the New River Gorge National Park, and tried this place for dinner on one of those days... Was not too busy, were seated almost immediately and attended to... We tried the Kani - Crab Stick Sushi, Crab Cheese Wontons, Shrimp Shumai, Chicken and Shrimp Yaki Udon, Shrimp Shumai, Hibachi Steak Dinner... Service was excellent, fast and food was fresh and delicious... Great place to dine in... Highly recommended...!

Jenny’s place always the best! Love the red snapper curry and Udon shrimp! The prices are so cheap. So affordable. Be back soon!

Fujiyama is a place I visit every single time I’m home! I eat there and take my leftovers all the way back to Baltimore, MD!! Service is great, ricky our chef was so much fun, that’s what Japanese food js! I will always go to Fujiyama!! Wish there was one in Baltimore md for me to go to!!

Went here for a get together and had a great time. The food is good and it has a very nice atmosphere. The chefs are friendly and fun.

Always a favorite stop of ours. Love the food, and the servers work together to provide a good experience for the diners.

Coming from Florida and having Kobe’s as our go-to hibachi, this clears it no-dif. Fantastic service, food, portions, drinks. Totally recommend the flaming volcano drink as well as anything on the menu. 10/10

Made a point of stopping here again on an I-64 roadtrip, because the food was so good. Had another well prepared sushi meal.

If you are ever in town this is an establishment worth making a stop to experience. Especially if you have friends, family or children with you. If you are by yourself don't let that deter you from the opportunity it's generally well worth the visit! It's a bit pricy but I try to look at it in the sense that you are paying for both the show as well as the food that each chef brings to the grill! Naturally every chef is different so experiences may vary in that aspect.

From the moment you walk in there are many beautiful artworks to stand in awe of just at the very sight. There are multiple luxurious wooden designs on display as well as their very own Koi pond! Which you can even purchase Koi from the pond should you want one for a pet or anything else you would decide to do with them. Getting back on track though!

You will be able to distinguish the expertise of each chef as well as their experience on the job by watching them in their element. Not to say that any chef is better then another, but moreso to say that their experience in the field that they work shows in their craft as they perform their art before your very eyes! Creating the unique show, as well as delicious food you will soon enjoy!

If you are a regular then you will have surely figured out which chefs you preference by name and can request them specifically. That's at least what my dad would do when we would come there periodically years ago. The only downside of which would be of course having to wait for your selected chef of preference to get the chance to cook for you. Once they are freed up they will be making their way to the grill you are seated at to bring further enjoyment to your day!

Otherwise any chef will do in regard to getting a good meal as well as easily having leftovers to eat on for the next day or so depending on your appetite. Which on that same note the food tastes great even reheated or eaten cold which is an oddity in itself! As far as service goes; They are very kid friendly and family oriented so there shouldn't be a worry in regard to whether you should bring the children or family/friends. They are also very accommodating generally so anyone wheelchair bound should get to enjoy the show no differently then anyone else seated at the grill.

Fantastic dining experience! Excellent service and delicious food. The little ninjas menu even allowed our picky little ones to have something they loved!

Very good food, large portions and very attentive service. Only complaint was appetizer came out with main meal.

so good! a little pricey but worth it in my opinion. my boyfriend and i came here an hour before they closed and the service was still excellent! was nice to get out of the car for a bite out on a long drive.

The Hibachi salmon and noodles were magnificent. And setting outside on the deck was a pleasant atmosphere.

I had a great experience. The presentation of their Chirashi is almost too beautiful to eat! Their Nori salad is delicious!

This place was fun and good. Our youngest really isn’t into any kind of different foods but we talked him into going while on a small weekend getaway. We all had a great time. Service was amazing and food was outstanding.
