I just had my wedding reception here last weekend and I can't put into words how perfectly everything went! Our meetings with Bill and Karol were very clear and efficient leading up to the wedding day so on the day of, I didn't have a worry in the world! They did everything we asked and more- they set up and clean up everything and cook whatever you could want for dinner! The crystal room is BEAUTIFUL- I highly recommend it for a wedding reception venue if you want amazing pictures.
If I had one complaint, it would be that several people told me afterwards that the wait staff was very rude and it was evident that they didn't want to be there. Luckily, this could be an easy fix for the future.

Me and my husband got married here this past November 2022. Carol and her husband were incredible! We had to plan our wedding within 2 months, and they worked so great with us to unsure everything would be taken care of. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful here & I have nothing but good things to say! We had our ceremony & reception here. The home cooked food was delicious, and Carol & her husband were amazing the morning of my wedding and helped coordinate everyone & made sure everything went smoothly. If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Crystal Garden's venue was absolutely perfect! Staff is very helpful in planning your wedding. My daughter was very organized and gave Karol a detailed explanation of how she wanted the room set up. Karol and Bill had the room exactly the way my daughter wanted it. The food was amazing and so was the cake. Several of our guests told us this was a "first-class" wedding. The staff checked on us several times during the reception to make sure all was good. Crystal Gardens is a hidden gem! I highly recommend Crystal Gardens..I promise..you won't be disappointed.

My wife and I got married here almost a month ago. To say everything was perfect would be an understatement. Every single part of our big day went better than we could have ever hoped for. The venue was set up exactly how we wanted it, the ceremony went off without a hitch and most of all the venue is absolutely beautiful. The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was even better. We received only great comments from all of our guests and would highly recommend Crystal Garden. Bill and Karol assisted us the entire way through the process and made sure that everything went as planned. Thank you to those two for helping us create the most memorable night of our life!

We recently hosted a 50th Anniversary Party at the Crystal Garden and I could not be happier with the venue. They handled set up and clean up and the meal was AMAZING. This is not your typical "banquet food." The chicken piccata was fork tender, deliciously sauced & seasoned, and obviously cooked & served fresh. The roasted veggies were firm and full of flavor, and the wild rice pilaf was perfect (not dry!). Fresh bread rolls & salad to boot! We brought in our own cake and paid the extra plate fee (which was discussed ahead of time). Honestly, they did such a nice job slicing & serving the cake, it was well worth the plating fee. We also discussed centerpieces and room arrangement ahead of time & both were handled to my satisfaction. My advice would be to simply make sure you discuss everything ahead of time. Karol & Bill are lovely & very accommodating, but they are not mind-readers. Make sure you cover the details & I'm sure your event will be a success!

We have never used Crystal Gardens, but we are very familiar using GC Cuisine. We have had them cater a graduation party, we have used them for holiday family dinners, and carry out for lunch &/or dinner several times a week over several years. We think this place is 'heaven sent'. The food is wonderful and is basically a home cooked meal that we don't have to home cook ourselves. The staff (usually one of the owners) is friendly and informative and make it easy to go there for pick ups. We truly love the place.

Karol and Bill have been amazing in helping me plan our event and working with us! My sorority had our informal and they went above and beyond to make it amazing! I would highly recommend for good food and great hosts!

We've been using GCC as our main source for prepared meals for many years. Carol is a terrific chef and we've never had a bad experience. Great food at prices that we can't beat if we prepare it ourselves. We highly recommend that you give them a try.

I recently had my wedding and reception at Crystal Gardens. I cannot express how wonderful everything was!! My now-husband and I looked at a few other places in the area, but none made me smile ear-to-ear the way CG did when we walked into the facility. It was, and is, absolutely beautiful! On my first visit I had written close to 20 questions down, and Bill (who gave us the first tour) answered everything, even going on to give us more information than I ever imagined! I was sold right then and there.
While I will admit I was a little put-off the first time I met Carol, looking back I understand that she needed to keep the professional attitude during our first few visits, rather than be “bubbly” and “chatty” in order to keep everything on track and make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. Any time I had questions for her I was able to reach her through phone calls and emails, all of which were answered promptly and fully. About a month before the wedding, she seemed almost as excited as we were about everything! When planning the menu her eyes lit-up and went into perfect detail about the food offered, and was very patient with us while we decided what we wanted to do. We were never forced to make any decisions, but were offered great suggestions when we looked stumped.
The day of the wedding went off without a hitch! There was another event going on at the same time, but it never interfered with ours. We were even ahead of schedule (I haven’t been to many weddings – but that’s the first time I’ve ever experienced that)! The garden ceremony was absolutely beautiful! We couldn’t have asked for anything more. The decorations and landscaping were perfect. (Not that they could control this aspect, but the weather was amazing, too!)
After our ceremony was complete and the reception had begun, Bill was there for anything we needed – even asking if the room temperature was to our liking! If there was anything we wanted, he was right there to make sure it was done. I was beside myself at how beautifully the room was decorated. It was a perfect way to start our memories as a married couple. And the food, well, was simply fantastic! We selected the beef and chicken, and received numerous compliments from our guests. The set-up was very nice, and the staff was excellent! From the bar to the buffet they were all very professional and all had big smiles on their faces while interacting with our guests. It was beyond just good customer service – it was exemplary customer service!
When we came back a few days later to pick-up decorations we brought for the reception, Bill and Carol were still super nice and friendly. They had everything ready for us so we didn’t have to wait around for anything. If anyone were to ask me about having their wedding and/or reception at Crystal Gardens, I would say yes in a heartbeat! There are so many other wonderful aspects I could share about my experience, but then this would be a 10-page review, haha. I’ll leave on this note: If you are looking for an amazing place and staff to host your special day, please look at Crystal Garden. You will not regret it =)
PS - the house DJ, Andy, was beyond amazing and was not forced on us as Matthew said in a previous post. The DJ was almost half the cost of others that we looked at, and his service was above and beyond what we expected. Also, with the open bar issue Matthew brought up - it states very clearly in the brochure that it is a 4hr open bar, and we got to decide when it began and ended, with the cash bar being available before and after that time frame.

Our Daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were held at Crystal Garden this weekend and everything was PERFECT from beginning to end!

As Mother of the Bride, I had MANY special requests and Karol & Bill were able to accommodate every single one. Not an easy task as I am a meticulous person.

Karol was very helpful in the planning stages from selecting the hors d'oeuvres for the cocktail hour to selecting our menu and coordinating the timeline at the wedding.

She was there every step of the way making sure everyone walked down the aisle at the appropriate time.

We had a lovely selection of hors d'oeuvres that were fantastic and the entire meal was absolutely DELICIOUS! The cake was beautiful and yummy and looked exactly like the photo (which never happens). THANKS KAROL!

Both rooms were set up with great care and the effect was everything I could have hoped for.
During the reception, Bill was always on hand to make sure every detail was running smoothly and IT DID!
Everything was served on time and the guests raved about the food and the atmosphere of the entire wedding!

We were able to leave the reception clean up in the hands of the staff which was a perfect ending to a PERFECT DAY!

5 stars isn't nearly enough!!!!

Thank you Karol and Bill for everything! Maybe we will see you again for our 40th wedding anniversary in a few years!!

Our take our Valentine dinner was excellent.
We ordered the very tasty chicken cordon bleu and shrimp bisque soup. This take out meal also included green beans, wildrice, tasty bread, and chocolate cake and a bottle of wine.

Crystal Garden Banquet Center is a wonderful place to have a special event! In early December 2016, my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary with a party for our family and friends. Karol and Bill could not have been more accommodating to my special requests.
After booking our party and discussing some menu ideas and our budget, Karol sent me two complete menu suggestions with the cost per person. Since I wanted to combine some parts of the two menus, we met with Karol to discuss my changes. She was so gracious in helping me decide what to serve and was willing to make any changes that I wanted. Karol and Bill also made suggestions and helped us pick the perfect wines to accompany our menu.
Karol is a very talented chef so our buffet menu was just what we wanted, including Linguine ai Frutti di Mare and Chicken Saltimbocca. Everything was prepared to perfection and simply delicious! We also had two of Karol’s luscious cakes for dessert.
Our guests were so impressed with the menu as well as the venue. The Crystal Room was decorated for Christmas, understated but beautiful even encompassing the blue and silver accents that I wanted.
If you are looking for a special place to have your special event, I highly recommend Crystal Garden Banquet Center in Edwardsville. Karol and Bill are totally committed to providing the best possible experience for you.

Had my wedding here yesterday and it was amazing their glass room is something out of a fairytale and the food was to die for and the bartender did an amazing job!!! Bill was our officiant and he did wonderful!!! I can’t thank them enough!!!!!

I love this food so much that we eat it twice per week. The chef cooking is amazing. Also been to a number of events at the hall, great place.

I used to go to the deli all the time and it was the healthiest, most delicious, budget friendly option available in all of Edwardsville.

It was a 5 star hotel experience. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very elegant, clean and up to date venue

Wish I could double the star score on the atmosphere they got it going on in the deli up front!
