Spitler Woods State Natural Area

Beautiful and easy trail. There is a loop that is wheelchair accessible. We went in May and the entire forest floor was carpeted with spring wildflowers. Absolutely beautiful!

This is such a lovely spot to walk around.

I have grown up going to this park. Over the years they have improved and maintained the main trail. It is a great trail to go walking on for any age. There are some smaller hills. My husband loves to trail run here.

Spitler woods is a great park to go to!!!! It is so beautiful!!!! It has great trails, stuff for kids to play on and much more!!!! They also have a building you can rent for parties/weddings. It is a great place!!!

Cute little natural area with a great nature trail. Well paved and maintained. A variety of birds and critters were observed.

Beautiful for walking. The trails are shady and a nice experience. Short trails for those who are just starting out or have disabilities. I walked with my neighbor today and had a fantastic time

The weather was beautiful & had a blast

Quiet and peaceful. Nice little trail. Two small pavillions with 3 places for kids to gather and play on the equiptment.

Had fun, but the main trail is not wheelchair accessible. Got stuck on a tree root and had to use my crippled legs to jump across the creek where a bridge fell. I then upset a family of raccoons and they attacked me. Overall a really unique experience I had, just wish every single tree root would be removed. I've learned so much about myself from this experience.

A very nice & beautiful park. Great playgrounds, wonderful trails.. plenty of parking.. restrooms.. Perfect backdrop for photos, for "me time" or with that special someone, just walking along the gorgeous trails through the lushes woods..grills & pavilions for reunions or birthday parties. A great "daycation" destination.

Great trail running and a place to relax. The park needs better maintenance, i.e: basketball hoop nets, trails need to be groomed more often, and the bridges throughout the trail need fixed and updated. They've been that way for years. The park is a real treasure and I can't give it less than 5 stars, but it needs some TLC.

We had our daughter's Bridal Shower in the enclosed facility on the grounds of Spitler Woods! It was a beautiful day! There isn't any air conditioning in that building, but there are ceiling fans and an industrial fan that can be moved around anywhere in the building. We opened the windows for cross-ventilation, and that worked great.
Very clean facility. Bathrooms had recently been painted.
Facility holds 80 people and there were 8- 8ft. tables and chairs set up for us with many more tables set up around the room!

Wonderful paved trail along with many other trails to enjoy! Several playgrounds to enjoy along with several spots to grill out, great place for birthday parties. Sometimes a little too busy for my preference tho.

If you do Pokeman and like to get a little exercise....the main park has approx. 10 stops throughout that you can get while walking the roadway. The woods are also great filled with natural beauty and wildlife.
