The FourNine

Food and service are always good, but we have had a little better from this establishment. The Four Nine has phenomenal dishes for this area. They are above and beyond what anyone else in the area has.

My husband and I ate at The FourNine last night for a night out. We have been interested in going for awhile. The food is simply like art work. Yes, it took some time, but well worth the wait. I understand they are expanding in size soon and that’s great to hear. We had a lovely waitress by the name of Lorin I believe. She was working her tail off along with another whom I did not catch by name. Both very nice. We had the bruschetta for an appetizer and it was tasty as it looked. I had a Philly steak wrap with their fries and a spiked strawberry lemonade & some mimosa’s. Any time we have good service somewhere new I like to credit those people. The chef did great. 👌🏻
We will be going again!

We absolutely love The FourNine and especially now that they are in the new facility. The food was always top notch and very unique and the service was always perfect - but now that they are in a nice new facility with ample room and a great environment it has quickly become our favorite restaurant. Looking forward to going there in the warmer months and sitting on their awesome patio and trying a flight of their large beer variety!

Great place! Very small but they have a new building being built next door. We got the chicken and waffle, salmon bowl, cheese burger, a grilles cheese with Mac n cheese on it, old fashion. Highly recommend the. Chicken and waffle, salmon bowl, and the grilled cheese.

1st time to visit and was blown away. Food was absolutely amazing. The charcuterie pretzel was fantastic and the loaded baked potato soup was totally awesome. And the Southern California double burger was over the top. And finished it off with hot deep fried donuts..

Went on a Sunday for brunch with my family and we will definitely go again. Started off with the mimosa flights which were amazing. I had the orange, huckleberry, strawberry, and passion fruit flavors and my favorite was the huckleberry! The food was delicious and the service was friendly.

My luck was outstanding tonight. Not only did I get the last chimichurri sandwich, which was great, but also the place was quieter, which facilitated some great conversations with the quality employees of the establishment. I look forward to this place expanding while still retaining its heart, which is the personalities of the people it employs.

We visited on 3/3/24 and had a great time. The vibe of the place is an edgy gothic chic. The artwork on the walls are done by local artists. The menu has something for everyone. Ryan our server was knowledgeable about the menu and offered great suggestions. I ordered a drink that just didn’t really sit right but I had no intention of asking the bar to make something else. Ryan paid attention to the fact that I hadn’t touched my drink. Asked if he could bring me something else. I told him that wasn’t necessary but he insisted and brought me something else free of charge. I am impressed with the attention to details with the food, the aesthetics, and the staff. They are trying something new with a special of the day. I had the bacon-wrapped pork chops with apple chutney, garlic mashed potatoes, and grilled asparagus. It exceeded my expectations. Normally pork chops can be hit and miss and most times are too dry. This whole dish was the star of the show.

This place is amazing! The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is very chill. Make sure to make a reservation! The food though...Holy smokes 🤤🤤 it was SO delicious! I had the Belgium waffle burger and my friend had the adult grilled cheese. The seasoned fries were delicious also! The mimosas were also delicious! Highly recommend this place!

The food is always so gooooood! A+ burgers. We always get the pretzel charcuterie board. The pretzels always crispy on the outside soft and inside mmmm. Tried the whiskey flight this time. Fell in love with some new whiskeys. Thanks FourNine crew.

Good service, super friendly atmosphere and amazing food! My go to appetizer is the fried green tomatoes 🍅 😋. The Adult Grilled Cheese is a whole meal absolutely love! The ALZ classic lavender lemonade tops it all off. 5 Stars all the way!

FIREEEE!!!! What an awesome joint. Great beer and alcohol selection. Delish food. Best burger I’ve had in a long time!!!! Welcome atmosphere and a hard working crew!

First dining experience in the new building. Fantastic! Food is the same awesomeness and now we definitely don't feel like sardines crammed in a can. I was a little sad that I couldn't see the chefs anymore and tell them how yummy the food was, but that's the downside of getting big and famous. My favorite place to eat in the 217.

There was a little mix up on our reservation, but the host found us another table and got us taken care of. Food was delicious and portions were good! Highly recommend the Hibachi Wrap. Will definitely be back again soon.

WOW! Hidden gem. They are building a new building to replace the current one. I hope the positive vibe is not lost when they move into the new place. The staff are extremely friendly and a joy to watch as they create a masterpiece for your palate that will leave your taste buds in a frenzy. We are definitely going back to try everything on the menu! I've lived in big cities, and Four Nine brought back great memories from the past with a high-energy vibe hidden in a quaint location. If you're looking for something awesome and a little different from the norm, definitely stop in for an amazing experience. Great job guys keep up the awesome work!

Their new locations is can hold way more people than their previous location. Looking forward to coming here in the summer. Great atmosphere with multiple paintings by local artist Luke McNeely. This establishment rivals any high end dining establishment anywhere in Central Illinois. Reminds me of Sepia in Chicago’s West Loop , but without the wine selection and right here in Mount Zion.

The Four Nine is exactly what Mt. Zion needed! Their dinner is always spectacular and today we tried out their Sunday brunch! The Bloody Mary, mimosa flight, breakfast bowl, and steak bagel were all incredible! As always, the staff was so friendly and took excellent care of us. Highly recommend The Four Nine any day of the week!

Carl was our bartender and was absolutely amazing. Made our drinks quick and some of the best we’ve ever had. The food was divine and I would recommend enjoying the experience to anyone that cares to listen.

Fabulous place to eat! Amazing food, all of it is very tasteful and cooked to perfection. And talk about the PHENOMENAL service. The young lady was waiting the whole restaurant and was killing it!
