El Corral Mexican Restaurant

So we moved here from Texas a few months ago, and to say it's been a struggle to find somewhat decent Mexican food anywhere in the midwest is an understatement.

This place is good! And by good I mean the best we've found so far, which means stellar in comparison to the other options in town that we have tried. Not the best Mexican food we've had (again, we are from Texas and were used to just good Mexican food EVERYWHERE), but we have been back several times and this is our go to place to scratch that neverending itch for Mexican food.

We've tried several things off the menu and haven't been disappointed yet! Solid choice for Mexican chow.

I love this place my only issue is the beef being a tad bit salty my last two visit but it could just be my taste bud

We eat dinner here several times a week. Great food and service. Sometimes lunch, but they always have specials everyday !!

My favorite Mexican restaurant

We tried the taco salad and I must say it was very good and very filling. I added pickled jalapeños and extra guacamole, which is a must for my taste, but my wife liked it just as it was. Their warm chips and salsa were very good also. The waiter was very nice and efficient, and the food was on the table in less than ten minutes. I highly recommend this place.

Do you like Mexican? Well this place is the real deal. They have a great lunch menu with several great options. I've always had great service and the food comes quickly. One night we showed up 10 minutes before close not paying attention to the time. They came outside and invited us in to eat. We were the only customers in the building. I suggest giving this business a try. You will not regret it.

Stopped in for an early dinner and everything was delicious! Service was great and on top of everything. The large margaritas and beers are definitely large!

I eat here probably once a week. The owner Miguel is the most wonderful person on the planet.

Order the fajitas for 2 for a couple more bucks and it fill feed you lunch possibly dinner the next day. From the top to bottom off Illinois this is the best margarita I've ever had

Food was great, I've had a few misses from this restaurant but today wasn't one of them food came out in less than 10 minutes and was great.

El Corral has always been a decent place to eat at. Their food always has came out hot and tasting fresh. Margaritas are excellent and not overpowering. They look like they have a clean kitchen, as well ad bathrooms. Highly recommend!!!

We always have a great time. We have get togethers there with our large family. Jayme and Miguel took very good care of us and were a joy!

I had a salad with shrimp and avocado, and their ranch dressing.. It was delicious!!! $11, I recently got a salad from Subway and it was $9, and the El Corral salad had alot more stuff.. Oh, and let's not forget the all you can eat chips and salsa at El Corral with your meal!!

Best Mexican food. Wonderful service and welcoming staff. Short wait even when busy. I’ve been coming to El Corral regularly for over seven years. The restaurant is my favorite in Decatur.
