La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Birmingham Homewood

I must be in a luxury room bc this hotel is nice yes they're remodeling and it shows in some areas but I absolutely love the room I've been in it's huge and nice and the bed is so good my sheets are very white and clean my towels are very white and clean. The staff are amazing very sweet pleasant and inviting as well as helpful. The breakfast is good I do miss the eggs sausage biscuits and gravy from another laquinta we recently stayed at but they a kitchen this one may not have that feature and that's ok they still provided a good breakfast. All and all I give 5 gold stars 🌟. Thank you for the great stay.

The bad reviews seem a little harsh. This property is clearly a well-used budget hotel, and judging it to that standard I think it excels. The staff were courteous and professional, check-in was smooth, and I had no issues with my room for the price. They are undergoing renovations, I saw the workers myself gutting the old rooms. If you don't like the FREE breakfast, there are dozens of dining options near by. I would definitely recommend this La Quinta if you are on a budget and want a safe, desirable area to stay for the night.

I got to read some bad reviews about this location. Regarding the carpet being dirty, yeah the carpet on the hallways isn't very clean, has some dirty spots but my room was VERY clean. The personal I interacted with was very friendly. I'll definitely stay at this location again....

Once again I chose to stay here. The rate online was $80. The place was clean, nice comfortable bed and pillows. The room was spacious with a king bed. Some cosmetic wear and tear in the bathroom wall and a corner floor tile but overall, the place and room were decent. Breakfast had fruit, bagels, boiled eggs, fresh waffles, juice, water, and coffee. The staff was courteous.

It was wonderful here it's pet friendly the location was perfect by not being too far from the highway the rooms were ice cold the way we like it the beds were warm and comfortable the person at the front desk named Andres I believe when we checked in was helpful the only thing wrong it was that the carpets need a little more love other than that we were happy ~

Our stay in Birmingham Alabama was a spur of the moment decision due to Hurricane Ian. We were vacationing in the mountains and we were not able to make it back to Florida. Everyone at LaQuinta was so accommodating and friendly. Pat and Jermaine at the front desk were extremely helpful and kind. Actually, everyone that we encountered was kind and friendly. Our room was very quiet, spacious, comfortable, and clean. Our dogs had plenty of space to walk. Breakfast of coffee, fresh fruit, cereal, bagels, waffles and toast was provided and this location was close to shopping, dining and local attractions. Thank you all for helping us during a very stressful time and making our stay enjoyable.

Great! This was a repeat visit to the hotel and as usual, I was more than happy with my room. The front desk staff was professional and welcoming. Quick check in and on to our room. Spacious, clean and the bed, inviting.

I don't know what's up with all the bad reviews but I enjoyed my stay here! The location is good, staff was friendly and helpful, the room was nice, not too expensive, very convenient. I'll definitely be returning.

Eight of my family members including myself stayed at the Homewood Alabama location for 6 days and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. Rooms and beds were clean. Clean towels replenished daily and staff were helpful and friendly especially the front desk clerk Wanda. She made sure to look after the guest needs and I personally appreciate her kindness. I will be back!

This hotel was really nice. The hallway rugs need some cleaning. The rooms were clean but the bathroom floors need attention. The staff members were very nice.

So far so good! I arrived way before check in time but they allowed me to do so if I wanted a suite because at that moment that was all that was available. It is a really nice room plus living area plus corner kitchenette, for $89. At that moment I had just come off highway where I was fighting nodding out and many other hotels wouldnt let me check in before 1, 3:00, or I could for $35. I was tired, not wasteful. I'm really happy now!

The front desk lady at close to midnight was very helpful in checking us in. She got us in in record time. She made this long motorcycle ride better with a place to stay. The lobby was clean and updated. The room was comfortable and clean. I'd stay here again when I'm in the area. And thank you Laquinta for having availability last minute as our original hotel canceled our reservation without notice. No call or anything...ughhhh 🤬🤬🤬

The hotel is conveniently located near I65 with plenty of restaurants and stores around. The staff was polite and very professional. The only downside would be the interior needs to be updated. Fresh paint and new carpeting is needed to bring it all together. I would stay there again if I was in Birmingham

Stayed here for New Years. When you first walk in, Covid friendly. The staff had on their mask despite the fact they were behind the shield. The staff was friendly and proficient in their job. Downstairs was beautiful. The room including bathroom was spotless and clean. Everything was up-to-date. I really enjoyed myself. The pictures are exactly what the room looks like on-line. I highly recommend.

Very clean. Convenient location. Decent breakfast that was constantly replenished. Room was spacious with a desk for working. We found it to be very comfortable and would definitely stay again.

I stayed for almost a week. My mom had surgery at UAB and it was very convenient for me to stay there, but what was more convenient was the staff they are exceptional every one of them. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were clean, the fridge and microwave was a plus. I was able to get groceries from Aldi’s and prepare some of my meals. There was easy access to the interstate, to shopping and restaurants. I really couldn’t ask for a better experience. Harold one of the employees was amazing.. (he needs a raise and is definitely a keeper) he went above and beyond his duties, his kindness will never be forgotten. The staff called and checked on mom, and asked if there was anything they could do to make my stay easier, there was genuine concern for her. I was really really surprised at the amount of hospitality that was shown. I will definitely stay there every time I’m in town.

Totally remodeled, Beautiful hotel, GREAT helpful friendly staff! Loved the Modern New decor. King suite was huge and Beautiful and very clean… love that the parking lot is very very lighted and cameras everywhere good area. We will be back..

the rooms are super clean it's the perfect size room their dog friendly and they're very close to UAB where I'm getting my medical stuff done but very accessible for the major highways and very closed for everything that you need to go to. Highly recommend them for all future stays I know I'll be staying here next month when I come back to go back to the medical facility. Very very clean and that staff is very nice.

We had a nice stay with really nice people. All the carts were gone however one of the workers helped take our luggage upstairs. The hotel had a pack and play which I cleaned, covered and put our baby in. Really convenient location as well.

Room looked very nice and clean. All staff we encountered were friendly, smiley and accommodating. Breakfast was great also. Boiled eggs, waffles, serial, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, orange juice coffee. Nice TV.
