The young entrepreneur who purchased Wildflour Artisan Cafe in early 2020 has branched with a Wildflour Artisan Bakery in Mt. Zion with lots of yummy holiday treats, delicious Christmas cookies and some very innovative brioche... Be forewarned... They are huge. Now we have two favorite places to satisfy our sweet toothes...Sweet teeth... My sweet tooth and hers too.

Wildflour Bakery in Mt.Zion, IL is cute, clean and the owner is a delight. I love the coffe they sell there and have had a few too many pastries and like them a bit too much. They are delicious. They do cakes there too!

Buy my keto desserts here from Perfectly Protein and they have been a life saver for my diet. Always yummy and fills the need for sugar. My kids love the cookies here and my mom the carrot cake. This bakery has wonderful treats and I highly recommend!

Originally, I was excited about supporting this local Mt. Zion bakery after seeing the good reviews for its recently closed Decatur location. Over the past few weeks I've purchased a sandwich, a Danish pastry, 2 cream filled horns (one was half filled), a stale cupcake, a croissant, and was disappointed each time. Nothing is fresh! They have a very limited selection and what little they have is stale and refrigerated. On 2 of my visits I saw cellophane wrapped cardboard trays of their bakery items sitting on top of the display cases, so I'm thinking they're selling frozen products. Sadly, this has been a disappointing experience... don't waste your money if you want fresh goods. Casey's offers better tasting, fresh pastries and donuts... and for a lot less money!

This place has apparently gone downhill over Christmas and New Years. We walked in on a Saturday and about 1/3 of their baked goods were gone and were neglected to be replenished. Not even worth the 25% discount for helping to unload stale product... I wanted Zucchini bread, she was out. I wondered what drinks she offered as there was no drink menu or blackboard menu; the customer is tasked with wondering and asking. Her chai was flat and lackluster. We hoped to at least sit down and talk but the gal behind the counter prohibited us from sitting down at the tables, stating "I'm sorry, Indoor seating is closed because I can't get the staff and I won't be the one picking up after you." Uh, yeah, we walked in and we were your only customer as you were SO busy! (My husband asked for a red-eye and she didn't have that either.) Her turtle shortbread was sickly sweet and ultra sticky, of course served with no napkins. Two potential customers walked in behind us and were promptly re-routed as they, too, were disappointed at the lack of goods and services here. This is the attitude of this business- no hospitality and complete lack of provisions. What they do offer is disappointment.
We discovered then that Black Iron Coffee down the street was bustling with both staff and seated customers.
