This place is phenomenal!!!!!!!! The air planes and the history of it all are exceptional. There was even a section on the Alabama Tuskegee Air Men. I'm from Alabama, so this was good to see, and it enhanced my knowledge regarding history. Definitely deserves 5 stars.

My 11-year-old son & I were away for a ⚽ tournament & LOVED our visit here. We had 1 hour & were able to make the best visit with the time we had. This museum had so much rich history, artifacts, and vintage military & civilian collections - It was fascinating. I am in a pilot academy currently & this was very inspiring. The sweet gal staff member at the front desk & security guard were angels! They were so kind & helpful. They had such southern hospitality & represented this museum well. We appreciate the opportunity to visit this wonderful gem! ♥✈ 🇺🇸

What a wonderful museum! A wide variety of aircraft, vintage to modern. The Mi 24 Hind was a very nice surprise. That thing is huge! The A-12 drone was very unique as well.

Give'm a visit! You will enjoy it.

They do have a separate outside aircraft on display but those are bad shape needing of some TLC. But worth a drive by for sure.

Driving to the Southern Museum of Flight, I was honestly not expecting much. The museum is in a mid to lower class residential area with very little signage apparent.

I was immediately overwhelmed. The facility is amazing, the displays are immaculately well-kept. The employees are very friendly. Overall, an amazing & beautiful museum.

The Shadow Gallery, highlighting CIA missions and people, was a very unexpected surprise as well. Beautifully well done and worth the entry price alone.

I do wish that the static aircraft displays which are down the road a little ways were better kept, but that was made up for by the museum itself.

Bravo.

Great planes on display! Friendly staff. A great value. Some of the signage/info could use some refreshing/improving. Definitely worth the visit.

Amazing museum with lots of history information and cool exhibits. They had a whole riom of pictures from the CIA painted by cia artists showing declassified missions. I'm very excited to see their new location when it is finished!

Very cool and educational museum. Collection is appropriate for the size. There are also outdoor areas, and those planes are understandably less well kept.

We had a great time taking our family to the flight museum! Our young kids loved it. Pricing was reasonable, and parking a breeze. The exhibits were really fun and informative. There’s plenty to do and see; enough to keep you busy for several hours. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit rundown and some of the exhibits were closed or not clearly labeled; nothing that’s a deal breaker though. There’s a fun gift shop at the end. I would recommend it to others!

It is a small place packed with lots of fun knowledge. Has a small kids play area. The fee is about the cost of a movie. The other jets are down the block and are outside and can only be seen in your vehicle. It's my understanding they are trying to build a bigger facility which would be nice. This place has lots of potential but is a good starting point my grandchildren enjoyed it and it was small enough that they didn't get bored. I was surprised not to see kids books on Orville and Wilbur Wright or the Red Barron as presented in their museum. I would go see it again.

It was a great little museum packed full of history, aircrafts, and aircraft parts. My boys absolutely loved it, especially sitting in the cockpits. We would have loved to do the flight simulators, but there were about 5 busses worth of students doing them. The field of aircrafts down the road is a bit sad...kind of like a plane graveyard. The gift shop isn't great either. The museum itself was fascinating, and at only $5 a person, completely worth the time.

We had a company holiday party there last night. It was perfect. The place is beautifully filled with planes and aviation artifacts. Mexia was the perfect hostess. If you are looking for a unique event space, check them out.

Awesome space!! Wonderfully displayed aviation from the Wright brothers, Amelia Earhart, World War II, and outer space.
This is a thoughtfully displayed collection that gives alot of focus to the local area history.
Great job!!

Nice small flight museum for a fun family activity. Reasonably priced and the perfect place to stop for a little bit to stretch our legs. They had some areas they were restoring/working on but still had enough neat stuff to look at and read. They have a few items outside the museum and more down the street in a fenced in yard. You couldn't get closed to fenced equipment and they looked a little weathered but overall a very good place to stop. It is not in a super nice part of town but felt safe during our visit.

Great facility with so many wonderful exhibits. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the museum is very clean. We took our 2.5 year old who really enjoyed checking out the planes and playing in the children's area. Highly recommend.

Pretty small compared to most of the Aviation musems I've been too but they make great use of the space. The displays are thoughtfully put together and well staged. The staff is very friendly as well. My only gripe is that they could use some more reading material for their displays in glass cases as I found that many of the items in them lacked a explanation.
