Egg Yolk Cafe

Me and my husband stopped here after we got our dilated eye exams, so we had some time to kill. The parking lot was packed, but the dining room was spacious and we had no problem getting seated. Decided to order the 40-minute apple pancake. Additionally, we split a breakfast burrito during the wait. The food here is top quality!!! Couldn't believe the portion sizes, the fresh ingredients, and the incredible taste. We will definitely be coming back here again in the future! I drive past Egg Yolk on my way to work, and it's going to be hard to resist this place now :)

The service was really good, nothing was too long or too soon. The food was really good, it was hot and not cold. The restaurant itself is a really nice place. And all in all I just had a really good experience with this place. I would highly recommend it.

Our first time here and we really enjoyed it. The staff were very kind and welcoming. We'll definitely come again when we are I the area. We recommend for all families.

Had an awesome experience here. Service was great. Food was good. Bowls os soup as opposed to cups. You have to try their homemade rice pudding.

Came for the first time today and it’s really the high quality service from the moment I walked in. I also really appreciate how clean this restaurant is. Good food and thoughtful people!

Went here to meet a friend on 7/2/2022- u know me… so love supporting locally owned over big box- THIS PLACE I DEF WILL BE GOING BACK TO SINCE IT IS SO CLOSE TO MY HOME…prices are really reasonable, food fresh and hot. My friend got the culinary omelette or eggs/skillet with toast… And it looked amazing!

The menu is huge with so many options. Located right off 172 in Allouez. Easy to find. Right next to a truck stop…. .

Lotta choices on the menu- sandwiches, wraps, breakfast foods- dinners. They have it- and again- reasonable prices and food comes up fast and hot/fresh. want a reasonable meal - go to this place. Servers are friendly and nice. Inside is very clean.

I recommend coming to this place! The waitress who attended my family and I was named Angie, and she was super sweet and kind! This is not the first time she serves us and every single time she has a smile on her face and is so welcoming. Not to mention, their banana bread and rice pudding IS TO DIE FOR! Will definitely be coming back!

Eating here with my 5-year-old grandaughter was a fun meal. All employees were nice and friendly. Excellent food (Denver omelet and kid pancakes). Wonderful service at very reasonable price.

I have lived in west Chicago all my life and never been here and regret it so bad! The food was absolutely amazing. The fruit was sweet and fresh and the overall atmosphere was family friendly. Will come back for sure 🥰 decorated beautiful in the inside

This place has always been one of the best breakfast places you will find here in West Chicago. Definitely get out there early with the family on the weekend as there is usually a 30 min wait during peak hours to be seated. The food here is really actually pretty good and clean. Good portion size for the amount you spend (which is extremely fair). I would highly recommend one of their omelets! Only downside to this place is the takeout. They can be a little short and or just not pick up the phone. But I get it, it’s busy as heck. Small imperfection that could easily be remedied. 5 star for West Chicago cafe!

I was really amazed by this place. I wasn't expecting such a great place for brunch. I had some amazing split pea soup, coffee, and a wonderful burger. The couple next to me had a full breakfast spread and seemed quite content. The service was exceptional as well. I'll definitely be back, perhaps after a weekend morning workout.

A good experience our first time eating here. It was Sunday around noon so we did have to wait, but only around 20 minutes which I was shocked at. The food is excellent. You can't go wrong.

Very good restaurant. They were busy, but the service was great. The food was very good and plentiful. I had the Reuben sandwich with mushroom soup. I will be visiting them again.

Went in with a group of 10 for breakfast for a birthday celebration. Excellent service, staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and make our experience enjoyable. Food was delicious!!

I go here frequently, and I've always enjoyed the food and the service. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch here with a pretty large menu. I happen to be a huge fan of their Cobb Salad (pictured without egg and tomato).

Super friendly staff at this breakfast and lunch restaurant. The homemade soup was delicious and the quesadilla I had was great. My husband enjoyed his tune melt on an English muffin. We will be going back here soon.
