Mr. Bob is knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. If he doesn’t have something on hand he’ll let you know when he can get it, or how you can if he can’t. People young and old love this store and Mr. Bob.

I've been renting videos here since the 1990's. Im very pleased to see a family owned video store still in business. Mokena video has new releases plus thousands of older movies to choose from including movies that are only available on VHS.
Edit: Due to Covid-19 and the economy, they have since downsized and I believe they only carry new releases.

If you want to enjoy the 80's and 90's movie rental experience, you must check out the Mokena Video location!

Huge selection of obscure and hard to find movies, giant VHS section, and plenty of DVD and Blu-Ray for new releases. They also still have video games to rent as well.

I love this store & Bob the owner is a great guy- very knowledgeable and friendly. I used to support this business whenever I could when I lived in the area.

Wish more of these stores still existed.

With the recent 'The Last Blockbuster' video premiering on netflix, it's very relevant to support businesses like Mokena Video when everything is going digital and physical media releases are becoming a thing of the past. I will always buy & support physical media release for books, video games, movies and music.

They have downzied quite a bit but the collection is still top notch and the service is good.
Only open Friday and the weekends tho, which should be fine for most renters anyway.

What an amazing place! It's a really great local shop, with a great owner, and they have anything you could hope for. And if they don't, the owner will typically order it.

It's a great atmosphere to get lost in all the cinematic possibilities. For real though, it's cool, and you should check it out!

And btw, I NEVER post reviews. I barely have a FB account. But this place is just so great, and everyone I know really loves it.

If you love movies, and you give Mokena Video a fair shot, you'll end up feeling like it's a part of your family, no joke.

Great selection. Owner is extremely helpful and friendly.. We were looking for an old movie and he was able to tell us that it was no longer being produced. We'll be visiting again soon!

This is one of the only video rental stores left in the area but it has been around for many years. My family has rented from there since the early 90s. When video rental was still big, Bob had the cheapest prices in town. I actually worked across the street at the local gas station and the employees walked across the street for snacks and I walked across to them to rent a movie or 2 during my break before they closed. I hope Bob continues to persevere in the time of streaming.

Mokena video is a great place to pick up an evening's entertainment, with new movies to choose from and hundreds of classics that are difficult to find anywhere else. And owner Bob will happily guide you through his vast collection or find that particular oldie you're searching for. Renting is still the most economical way to be able to watch a movie you plan on seeing once (or twice on that second night). Great place.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! New Decor, Brand New Grand Opening, Best movies around--They wont be at Redbox, and are on demand on Comcast for $7 each, when I got 3 BRAND NEW ones for the same price. Keep doing the great job, BOB! We in Mokena appreciate you!

This place is incredible! I feel like I stepped back in time to when video stores were a big thing. I just went there for the first time and it brought back so many good memories of visiting a video store together with my son when he was young and looking for movies to watch on a weekend and pick up some popcorn or snacks. My, how I miss those days.....
Should have never taken them or him for granted, and should have savored every moment with him as I've learned the hard way that they dont last forever. What I wouldn't give to have those days back and look at things then as I do now. Cherish your children and tell them and show them every day how much you love them!! Dont sweat the small things with them but just cherish them and love them unconditionally. I apologize for getting caught up in the moment.
Bob, the owner, is one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. He goes completely out of his way to help you in every way possible!! I would highly recommend to visit this store and help keep small businesses like this one stay afloat. With all the streaming going on right now, this store needs our help. Dont let a business like this with an incredible person and human being like Bob go the way of so many of these mom and pop shops that cant stay afloat with this world we live in now. I highly recommend you give them a visit to check it out. You wont be sorry.

This is the only place we rent movies from. No scratched up discs like you get from the Box. Super friendly owner and staff. Great prices and return policy. All the latest movies available as well as an amazing collection of your old favorites! Thank you Mokena Video!

This guy is amazing open everyday. We go in there a lot because he is knowledgeable and friendly. And I would rather give my money to him before spending another dime at Comcast and the online movie nonsense. This is how you should rent movies.

Mokena video store is the best video that I ever been to because they have every movie you can think of old or new. I also know the owner very nice, very knowledgeable, and professional man. The prices are right. This particular video store is on Front street between the Metra train station and the speedway gas station.

I practically grew up in this store. Spent every other day picking out a new game or movie to watch. I owe a lot of fun and damn near my life to Bob and Mokena Video. It was the one and only thing i really missed when i moved away. I am glad to see that the place is still going after all these years. I am extremely great full to have such fond memories of tacking tags off the wall and feeling like i was on top of the world, and at 4 that means everything. Thank you Bob for all you do. Brendon

Great all around. Awesome throw back to video stores and had old obscure movies I couldn't find anywhere. Tops in all the land. Great guy, reasonable prices and a true local business offering what others cannot.

awesome movie selection! super cool employees also. They even ordered a movie for me that they didn't have. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars, so much better than redbox.

Owner is VERY Helpful, has a large selection of DVDs, BLU RAY, VHS, GAMES to Rent. EVEN has ol Classics and Rentals never seen before like Jimmy Durantes CHRISTMAS WISH that we enjoyed greatly! They also have Popcorn, Candy to buy. Definitely will be renting from Mokena Video for very long time! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

This is the best place to find every movie! I love it! They have all the movies you can't find on streaming services. Highly recommend.
