Biggest Prairie fenced in, off leash dog park! We can spend all day, walking the trail! It's a big loop and probably takes 30 - 45 minutes to walk around but you can make it way longer if you're playing with your pup!! It definitely gets busy on the weekends but means more puppy friends! Go check it out!

One of our favorite dog parks to go to. You do need a pass that you can obtain in advance through the DuPage Forest Preserve’s website. This is a fenced in prairie with a path that resembles an 8. There are two smaller mowed fenced in areas, one designated for small dogs, if you are looking for your pup to play with other dogs. Everyone we came across is nice, and so are the pups. During the summer it does get hot and there’s no access to water, so make sure to bring a bottle with. When it rains, the path does get muddy, and if you have a dog like mine that loves to roll in mud, then I’d use the grass area instead. In winters after snowmelt, there is a lot of muddy water. Overall it’s a great park!

Large, open prairie, gorgeous any time of year, and big enough that it never feels crowded. The lack of trees makes it a place to go only early or late in very hot, sunny days -- but also means there's almost always a breeze to keep the bugs away. One of our favorite off-leash dog-walking areas.

Great place for dogs that like to run on a log lead or off leash in fields.
Gravel path for walking, a few benches along the path, mostly flat with small hills and valleys.
Three double gated yard for dogs with a few trees.

What a beautiful place, very large, and a great place for dog walks, or even bike rides. Very nice to be able to scale it from end to end and help keep it clean.

Great dog park, and off leash trail. The small dog park is great. Our dogs love it

One of our top 5 bike trails in the area because of its varying topography and landscapes from prairie trails on crushed limestone on the west end not the trail to heavily forested partial soil trails as you make your way to picturesque Mallard Lake.

Great dog park! Plenty of fenced open space and trails. Large and small dog areas also.

I love this place very much. Consider stepping off the gravel path and onto the mowed grass ones. One will take you right up to the river, and others will let you walk through the prairie itself. There is also a grass path that starts to the right of the townhouses by Jewel.

Great for pretending you’re not in Bartlett for a little while :-) Just be mindful of ticks in the spring/summer!

We brought 2 of our dogs here and they absolutely loved it! We don't have a yard so we walk them but there's nothing like a dog park for them to run around and play with other dogs. Next time we'll be sure to bring water for them.

Completely love this place, as do my pups. We go to the dog park daily. Nice people, good place for you and your pups to get exercise. 1 mile walking track as well as separate fenced-off park area for dogs to play. It even has an area exclusively for smaller dogs. I like the entrance with the 2 gate entry system. Park benches and seating areas. Nice place to enjoy your pups and nature.

Hawk Hollow park is well maintained and completely fenced. There is a gravel trail that is about one mile around which makes running with my pup very convenient. Within the park there are two large areas of grass that are fenced off for large and small dogs. The park has poop bags but you'll need to bring your own water.

A really great place to take your dog(s). The walking path is the highlight of this bark park and is 1 mile of crushed gravel and completely fenced in.

The dog play areas could use some more shade. The trees are still young so give it 25 to 30 years and they’ll be perfect.

All the people seem really nice.

Just make sure you go online and get the permit needed. You get an email copy immediately so you can go right away. I think it’s $50 for the year which I believe is well worth it.

We bring our pooch to the dog park here regularily. The facilites are well maintained, and safe. The other folks we meet here seem to be freindly and the dogs always have a goodntime.nthere is a large walking trail that is off-leash, and two fenced fields, also off leash for different sizes of dogs.

This place is beautiful. Nestled in the NW suburbs on the northern edge of DuPage County, it's like a very big hidden jem. You can't help but see it if you live in Hanover Park or Bartlett, but unless you take the time to explore it, you might not realise just how immense it is.

It runs from County Farm road on the east to Bartlett road on the west, and from just south of Devon all the way down to Stuckmam Boulevard. Its basically town sized, and much, much bigger if you consider that it's now linked by overhead pedestrian bridge to Mallard Lake, plus the trails and parks north up to Greenbrook.

It's not paved, but the path is very comfortably done in well crushed and compacted gravel. This makes it very comfortable for biking and hiking. On the map it looks flat, but in reality it has some significant hills that are gentle enough to escape first notice...until you are breathing hard to make it to the crest.

It's very, very clean. No garbage. No structures. No benches. Just a huge expanse of natural beauty big enough to hear the wind instead of the sound of traffic. It's open prairie so there are no overhead trees on the path. Dawn and dusk are perfect times to go. You can park on Stuckman boulevard, or if you want a parking lot go to the park on the SE side of Greenbrook.

It's big, so if you plan on hiking from one side to the other, come prepared...particularly for the weather. Plenty of water when its warm. Extra layers in a backpack if it's cold. Cell phone, chem lights if you out in the late fall afternoon. I say this as a prepper because if you twist your ankle and your out there as night is falling, you want something to let you be easily seen. First aid kit is never a bad idea. As I said, it's a very big place, and as it gets colder fewer people are around. But this is also its charm. I go there for the serenity. Walking the trail, I feel centered. Clears my head.

Check it out. I think you will like it as much as I do.
