Service was quick, the food is high quality, we loved it.
The sandwich with gluten free bread was delicious!!!
Fun to try locally made soda.
We like that they use eco friendly products for serving (no styrofoam!)
Definitely worth a stop while you’re in the gigantic sporting goods store LLBean. Free parking.

I tried the Cuban sandwich. Very fresh and tasty.

The cold brew coffee is very good also. The cashier was very pleasant.

Hidden gem for sure! Food was amazing and quick, nice outdoor seating as well. Based on other reviews, we weren't sure of this place but definitely worth a lunch break.

It was amazing! The food was incredible; locally sourced and/or made in Maine. Organic, sustainable, even the straws are compostable!! Wonderful little eatery.

Really good veggie friendly options and very reasonably priced. Green tea and lemonade should be mixed together for fill enjoyment.

This was a wonderful surprise. We had planned to stop at the LLBean flagship store on our way through Maine. When we arrived around lunch time we quickly realized that the 1912 Café was quite the find. The food was great and the unique soft drinks in the fountain were an added bonus. We enjoyed our lunch in their outside seating area and it quickly became the highlight of our day. Highly recommended!

Funny that I live 1/4 of a mile away and have never eaten here. That will no longer be the case! I had the Mainely Cuban. Delicious! Ate every last bite. Love that there is still outdoor seating in the winter. Thanks for accommodating the cautious!

So this place is the best, first time there today with my wife and I absolutely loved it. Nice spot to sit outside on a nice day, food is pricey but well worth the money. Seriously, I'm a budget eater normally and well this was worth every penny. I'll be back for sure!

I absolutely loved every moment of being there. The very gracious and polite staff, customers sitting around with smiles and most of all the food was delicious.

My wife and drove to Freeport to do some L.L. Bean shopping. After a couple of hours in the store, we decided to get a bite to eat. Owing to the COVID surge and avoiding larger places we decided to check out the 1912 Cafe and it turned out to be a great decision. We ordered a couple of wraps that were both fresh and very tasty. They served a local root beer that tasted like melted root beer popsicles. Highly recommend this place.

On a very busy holiday weekend despite the numbers, the wait time was minimal The young staffers were extremely polite and patient, and the food was outstanding. Locally sourced products plus gluten free and vegan options.

Great little spot for a quick bite to eat. Fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and fast service. Great place to get a sandwich and a salad after shopping. I definitely will go there next time I'm in the area and not looking for a big meal.

Before visiting LL Bean, we went into the cafe to order lunch, and ate outside, where tables were far enough apart to go beyond minimum standards for social distancing. I ordered the Royal Coachman and really enjoyed it! Smoked salmon can often be hit-or-miss unless it's from top-tier places where it's explicitly known; however, 1912 really came through with a great wrap! If I were to find myself in the area again, I'd definitely get another one.

Stopped by while walking in Freeport for a bite. Small cafe style diner with a well constructed menu offering something for any time of day.

They support other local businesses with local baked items and eggs. I love seeing small businesses like this supporting one another.

Staff was very friendly. It was a really sunny morning so we sat out on the patio. Looks like it'd be a great place to watch concerts on the adjacent park. Very relaxing setting and fantastic breakfast sandwich!

Best sandwich I've had in a long time! My food was gone before I could take a picture :) Amazing food, great service, and rustic atmosphere... Perfect for a casual meet up or a quick bite! It's a must!

It's small and can be busy at peak times but the selection of foods are lovely, refreshing and original with the bonus of mostly being very local. Bit of a range in prices. Lovely drinks. Friendly, helpful staff and very casual, laid back place.

Cute cafe in the heart of Freeport with tasty, natural food and a friendly staff! We stopped in for breakfast while vacationing in Maine over Memorial Day weekend. The menu had so many tasty-looking items that i couldn't decide what to get, but I had a bagel sandwich with ham, brie, fig jam, and eggs. It was so delicious I'm still thinking about it. The inside and outdoor patio were very cute and a great way to people-watch, while doing shopping at the attached LL Bean headquarters or all the outlets in Freeport. The staff is very friendly, and the owner even came out to personally ask us how our meal was and chat with us.

Met up with my sister in law for a day of shopping and ended up here for coffee and wraps...so good! Wraps were so full that we couldn't begin to finish them . Service was excellent and the other plates going by us looked excellent!!

Some REALLY good sandwiches and amazing local craft sodas. If you are in the area around lunch, skip the stuff outside and come in and eat here. You will not regret it.
