Ive been coming here since i was in college. Th waitstaff are great! Very knowledgeable and know how to properly serve wine!! New owners cant seem to stay long which is unfortunate however the seafood is th best! You got to go there when the piano player is in, its beautiful! *baked stuffed lobster Mmm!!!

6/5 stars! The food was great! I ordered the Chicken sandwich and me and my cousin shared the potstickers both were great! The owner was very nice and talkative. Would definitely come here again

Wonderful place for lunch with great views, service and atmosphere. We even spotted a crane nearby. Our waitstaff was fantastic - quick and attentive. Mussels were yummy but a little bit of sand and $2 charge for extra bread was a bit of a damper but it's not unusual, I suppose. Overall, great experience, I'll be back to try different dishes - lots of interesting specials available to choose from!

So happy we stopped in here for a late lunch. It is such a cozy environment and the staff are all super friendly!

The food was DELICIOUS and so fresh. We started with the French onion soup which was savory, and had great flavor. I also got the baked haddock which was one of the best haddock dishes that I've ever had. It was a beautiful, big piece of fish, cooked perfectly and the bread topping was buttery and absolutely mouth watering. The whole plate was divine.

My boyfriend got the Mac and cheese which was a generous portion of cavatappi pasta in a rich, decadent, cheese sauce that was sooo good!

Our server Joanne was absolutely lovely and the prices were beyond reasonable for the portions (which were all generous). We couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Can't wait to come back again!

awesome experience here absolutely loved the food and great service from Ellen will definitely be back. the chocolate torte was beautiful and rich felt like a dangerous woman eating it but soooo worth every bite. highly recommend!

Our waiter, John, was on point. Attentive, pleasant, and responsive. The food was very good, and the blueberry pie was an added treat. Great view, even on a rainy afternoon. Well done.

This place has a beautiful view of the water. We dined outside on a perfect day. Ordered drinks that were great. Blueberry-pomegranate mamosa and a mulled cider.

Appetizer was fried calamari. While tasty, the house sausage was very vinegary and the breading didn't stick well.

We had the New England Clam Chowder which was amazing. Superb. As a Maine native, I was happily impressed.

The Maine course was Fried Haddock Caesar Wrap and the house Rudder Burger. The wrap was phenomenal and while the onion rings on my burger we're by far the best onion rings I have ever had, the burger was unfortunately a disappointment. I ordered my burger medium edging on medium rare. What I got was a practically inedible extremely well done burger.

Normally something like this would cause me to bring the rating down to three or four stars, but our waiter was amazing and took care of it immediately taking the order off the bill completely. He was polite and attentive and never came to the table to ask any questions while we were eating. One of the better waiters that I have ever been served by.

Muddy Rudder, aside from the food your server, Jordon, is worth his weight in gold. He deserves a big thank you from his manager.

We will be back to eat again. We had a great time.

This place is the homey 5 star place you need in your life. From the wonderful bartender, Tina to the truly delicious food, we were so pleasantly surprised by every bit of our experience. Not going to lie, we thought this place may be an overrun tourist spot that resulted in lost quality of food, but boy were we wrong. The prices also can’t be beat!

We got the Rudder chips which surprised us both with the delicious Parmesan cream sauce. We followed that with a side Caesar salad. The salad had homemade dressing, big Parmesan flakes and perfectly toasted croutons- truly, the kind you can puncture without crumble.

My husband got the seafood stuffed haddock. He said the haddock was so fresh and delicious, and had full shrimp!

I had the Asian Crusted Chicken Sandwich which was literal perfection. The chicken was perfectly crispy, the bread was perfectly buttered and toasted and the sandwich had the exact kick you would want.

Last, we had the Muddy Marquis and boy does it just finalize that this place is unsuspecting! Both my husband and I took our first bite and audibly said “wow.”

Awesome food and amazing menu choices! For the kids try their home brew soda....
As for the food the seafood pasta was excellent and be sure to add the extra lobater to your lobster bisque. Seafood cakes rocked!! Baked haddock was good.

Woah. I don't know how this place doesn't have higher ratings. Went for lunch and had the lobster croissant. It was amazing. Also service was unbelievable and host actually came to check if things were OK too. Highly recommended.

It was delicious. They’re short staffed right now (like all of the restaurant industry). The food was top notch, really nice ambiance and friendly service. Ordered off menu take out & enjoyed the view from the patio - Love the setting !

Visited this restaurant with my out of state friend and I'm glad we did! It was a great choice. The food, drinks, and view were amazing!

Exceptional service, attentive waitress, personable staff, and quick seating.
About the food:
1. Seafood cake: they didn't skimp on the ingredients. It was fresh, well cooked and flavorful. I just wish there were 2 cakes for the price.
2. Calamari: cooked crispy by request but still soft and well seasoned. The sauce was a great addition. Great contender with the fried calamari at Petey's seafood restaurant.
3. Caesar salad: fresh greens; nothing wilting or soggy. No complaints
4. Risotto with lobster: well cooked lobster. Great flavor. Filling.
5. Chicken pasta with additional shrimp: additional shrimp is $8
6. Carrot cake with butter cream icing and vanilla ice cream: a must have if you've got a dessert craving. Not too sweet. Melts in your mouth. I had to save a piece for later. The slice was huge.

I loved our fish sandwich, the burger was also first rate. Didn't try anything fancy, and was too full for dessert. We were seated at the back with a beautiful view of the river, fish jumping and bird's hunting.

My husband and I dined here to celebrate our Anniversary. The food was delicious. We started with the home made potato chips in Parmesan cream sauce with bacon and green onions. I ordered the fried clam dinner and my husband had the wedge salad with chicken. The clams were sweet and delicious. None were spared. We had a beautiful view of the Royal River.

Our family of 8 went to this restaurant on vacation because we wanted to try something local. Our 12 year old kids loved the pot stickers so much that we had to get three orders. The salmon was flavorful and well presented. The chicken sandwich was juicy, the burgers were good, and the clam chowder soup went perfectly with the fresh made rolls. Everyone was very satisfied with their food. I am giving a 5 star rating because the service went above and beyond. They really treat you like family and for our family, it meant everything. Thank you for a GREAT meal!

Husband and I ate for dinner. I had the lobster croissant with sweet potato fries. My husband had 2 cups of soup. One lobster bisque and one clam chowder. And we took home a heavenly slice of blueberry pie. All of it was delicious. Staff was friendly and establishment is very clean.

Staff was awesome. Service was quick. The food was delicious. I had ordered beef tips and mashed potatoes. The potatoes are real and you could taste the butter. The tips were sweet and not as I expected. But good.

We were so blessed to find these guys OPEN & hosting a magnificent BUFFET on Thanksgiving Day! Our flights had been delayed to the point that we missed out Turkey Day plans ~ and these guys made it all worthwhile. Diligent, happy, hard-working staff. Fun, bustling, festive, family atmosphere and just a killer spread of delicious food, including and well beyond the traditional Thanksgiving fare ~ options included oysters, salmon, roast beef and more!

Wow! I can see why this was rated so highly. My husband and I ate here last night and we left very satisfied. Phenomenal service and perfectly cooked food. I had the grilled salmon with scampi butter. I can't eat rice, so requested a switch to roasted fingerling potatoes. My husband also made a substitution in his meal and there were no problems. Creme brulee for dessert was the perfect finish. Velvety custard and a fantastic crunchy top. 10% off for being a guest at the Best Western was a nice bonus. We will definitely eat here next time we are in town.
