Great place to get your wine and beer. I especially like the 4 pack deal where you can mix and match different beers without committing to a whole 4 pack. Dom the owner was great at helping me out! Highly recommend.

What a great surprise in Freeport. Decided to finally stop in to Double Barrel today. Wow! The largest selection of Maine Craft Beers I have seen. Had to be over 100 different beers. The owner was knowledgeable and helpful. Our new go to shop for the best beer selection.

SUPPORT SMALL BUSINESS!!! Highly recommend for anyone in town looking to try some great options that Maine had offer! Tons of local options. Staff was so knowledgeable, and kind. We wanted to grab some stuff from out of state for the holidays for the people in our lives who no longer drink alcohol. He took the time to go over all this non-alcoholic options and where to go to score some others that he recommends and some others he suggested to stay clear of. Such a nice guy, I wish him nothing but the best with his new business! Can’t wait to come back next year and go see him again! Good luck, man!

Such a great store and HUGE selection! The owner was really helpful and courteous when I asked for his beer recommendations based off of what my husband normally likes. I’ll definitely be back and will make this a normal shopping stop when I’m in Freeport!

Wow, what a great new store for anyone who loves Maine's craft beers. Great selection overall and a section for make-your-own 4 packs. Right next door to Bean's flagship store and in the same building as the awesome Jameson Tavern (circa 1779), this is a must see stop if your walking the beautiful town of Freeport! We met the owner, Dom, and he was great to chat with and very knowledgeable about all the beers. This will be a stop for us each time we're in Freeport. Beans, Mangy Moose, Jameson Tavern, and Double Barrel (probably in that order so I can carry all that awesome beer to the car at the end of a great day).

It is highly recommended that people visit Double Barrel in Freeport. The owner is well informed of his product. You can also tell right away that the owner is experienced in business and knows how to address the variety of needs and wants of the customers. I was there today to buy local specialty beer (How can you go wrong with an Elvis beer?) and I will certainly attend the store again when driving through Freeport. This store is a prime example of why people should buy local.
