Bud's

I like that it offers a little bit of everything. Good coffee and tea, good food options and ice cream! Plus a cute little store too. I always enjoy seeing familiar faces when I stop in too.

This is my first choice for breakfast when I go back home. I cannot speak too highly of Bud's. It's an adorable place with tasty food. They have skillets, wraps, plates, sandwiches, coffee drinks, smoothies, and more... All served in environmentally friendly packaging. Don't miss it.

Stopped here on our way to traverse city and would do it again. Small town feel to this place with real homemade food. We got the Philly cheesesteaks and panini melt. Fantastic food. Got the coconut macaroon to go and I wish I got more. Great selection of coffees and teas. Very reasonably priced. They even have little handmade merchandise and funny cards.

A great spot in Interlochen. We always stop here on the way from Frankfort to Traverse City. It’s a warm and inviting space- great for a conversation over coffee and yummy sandwiches or for a solo meal with a laptop.

You order at the counter- lots of salads, burgers, and paninis to choose from. Also ice cream! Great espresso drinks, as well.

The food and the employees here were great. As out of town guests camping at Interlochen State Park, we enjoyed stopping in a couple of times for coffee, breakfast and lunch options. The employees are always super helpful, attentive, and very hospitable. We also appreciate the outdoor seating that could accommodate a smaller or larger group.

Buds is great place to eat with kids. Pretty busy during dinner especially with the local school being so close. Has outdoor seating for summer. Freak bakery products as well.

Absolutely killer cinnamon french toast, hearty breakfast sandwiches, quality coffee, friendly staff who didn't mind my slightly goofy coffee order, a cute and spacious eating space, clean bathrooms. Wonderful everything really!

One of my favorite places to have a mocha latte since 2012.
Their food is delicious. They have an tasty menu. I say give Buds a try. Won't be disappointed.
Inside is decorated with antiques fishing gear etc. And seating is comfortable.
And their staff is friendly helpful and remember my large mocha by heart. They're amazing ❤✌☺

Update October 2023 ▶ I truly love this place, their food, pastries, drinks and ice cream and the wonderful staff. Plus they make their own waffle cones.
There's a quaint store in the restaurant which sells different items, some local made products and Michigan theme. Check them out 😊

Great coffee, and the burger was so good. Perfect spot for kids too! Just be prepared to walk out with a new stuffy haha

My husband and I went for ice cream. He had the soft serve Custer twist and I enjoyed on a waffle cone, Butter Pecan and Eskimo ( which has coconut and chocolate ). We both enjoyed the taste 👌, Yummy.
They also serve food, which looked good on people's plates.

BEST COFFEE! BEST FOOD! Breakfast and Lunch! I literally come here 3-5 times a week and never disappointed! The staff is always so kind and friendly! Maggie makes the best White Mocha and is always working so hard and fast! I would give this place 10 stars if I could! I like their ice cream more than Moomers!

I've seen the reviews about service, but we went three times in one week and never had an issue. Finding enough staff to keep up with the short-but-intense summer tourist season demand in MI is *tough* so there likely are issues at times, as there are at almost every single restaurant in the tourist-popular areas. My tip: you can order your food at the counter at this restaurant (where you order the pastries and coffee if getting it to go) and then sit outside, no need to wait on a server to take your order, etc, which is what we did. We in particular loved the veggie skillet, it was so nice to be able to start the day with a full plate of deliciously grilled up veggies topped with eggs, we went twice for this specific dish in the week we were in the area, it was so good. This cafe is a gem!

The best Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich we have had in a long time! Service was friendly and quick, atmosphere was great too, this is a gem!

Bud's has hands down the best coffee in the area, and their food is equally as tasty. If you are in the interlochen area or passing through its worth the stop.

Great coffee (strong/dark/hot and a free refill!) and lots of food options! Free donut on Wednesdays. Allergy friendly, too. Indoor and outdoor seating. Quick and friendly service. We visited almost every day during our stay at nearby Interlochen State Park.
