Way Way Store

A must stop on your way through this busy stretch of road. Listed on National Historic sites , has so much candy and treats packed into a little store Tasty ice cream all surrounded by old fashioned ice cream counter and glass counter filled with the old style candy in cups once penny candy still is very reasonably priced Add this to many old artifacts and plates on the wall for atmosphere Your in for a treat here. Literally

It is well worth driving a little out of our way to experience the nostalgia and charm of this little gem! Outside are the two original vintage gas pumps that once serviced a motoring nation in the early 1900s. Inside it was again a step back in time with jars and jars of old-time candies and fun treats, not to mention that every nook and cranny was filled with mercantile-themed antiques. I bought a killer whoopie pie there that was absolutely delicious! The gal behind the counter was sweet as could be and a cheerful addition to the little store.

This is a fun store to take you back in time when you were a child and went to the penny candy store with your allowance. My grandchildren ask to go here every time they come to Maine. Its full of old antiques like old dial phones, the big cans that potato chips used to come in. And even an old record player like my grandmother had (I’m 70 btw) Highly recommend stopping here.

Any amazing candy/ice cream/antiques. So glad I found this place. Great family fun stop. Several families were there during my visit. Had some great Giffords ice cream. Bought a bunch of candy. Also a Moxie t-shirt and a bottle of Moxie.

I can’t believe that this landmark is still there I were here in the late 90s and it was awesome from the photos it looks like the same ladies running the place! Nothing changes in Maine unlike Florida!!

Every time I go into this establishment, I am welcome to the open arms and they always have a great selection of everything that I would expect from this amazing place!

Crowded with lots of stuff your grandmother threw out and all the candy ,Penny Candy you missed from your childhood! Love it!

This place is a gem for the candy lovers out there! A bunch of classics, individual pieces like the penny candy days, and basically a shrine for Moxie. I stopped in for frappe and it was delicious of course. Although this place is a little tight to navigate and could use a clean, the classic charm is there. Definitely worth stopping in for something sweet.

The best candy store in maine. They did a wonderful job filling the place with good ol' american soul and nostaliga from the past.

Amazing place to come for some Nostalgia with a modern spin. The owners are amazing people, so caring and sweet. We love coming here to score an old fashion artifact for a very reasonable price. definitely a must see

Cool, little place. Don't be in a hurry. If someone is getting nostalgic in a certain area, you ain't getting in there for a bit.

Very lovely and unique Candy Store, this is a candy lover paradise. The owner is a very sweet old lady who we found to be a treasure of a person, if you're in the area, you have to stop by and see what a collection of candy and other goodies they carry. Highly recommended, lots of goodies and hard to find candy.

Such a cute store. It's what Cracker Barrel wishes it could be. The owner is friendly and chatty, and shared several stories about interesting antiques left from the original store. There is a wide selection of candy and ice cream, so it's worth grabbing a treat while you're there. They also sell locally made whoopie pies, which are amazing. Definitely worth a stop.
