Linda Bean's Lobster Roll Stand

Great stop during a shopping trip.
The wait staff will make sure you enjoy everything.

The medium cooked burger was perfectly charred on the outside.
The home-made chips are thick and crispy, not greasy.
The stick-to-your-ribs clam chowder is full of clams!

Sitting at a table with a street view? Even the chair legs have wheels.

There is a difference between this walk up stand and the main restaurant across the street. The lobster roll at this stand is amazing! Service is great. There are no waitresses here. It is a walk up stand. I have also eaten at the main restaurant and yes the service was terrible there and the lobster roll was not as good there as it is from this little stand. There are several picnic tables you can eat at by the stand. You will be glad you stopped.

Our waitress was quick and helpful. Our food was delicious and not over expensive: properly priced. Our booth was cozy yet vibrant, with a beautiful view.

While passing through Freeport today, my husband and I ordered a lobster roll meal to go. The food was amazing and the hostess was even more amazing! Her friendly and bubbly personality made us feel welcomed, appreciated and valued as a customer! Thank you for the delicious food and give that wonderful hostess the raise she so deserves! Excellent appetizers to be had at Linda Bean's Maine Kitchen in Freeport, ME. The crab cakes were crunchy, well seasoned, and matched well with the spiced aoli. The lobstacicles (a lobster tail cut in half, seasoned, and grilled were excellent and fresh with a light slaw. Highly recommend.

Best lobster roll around. Do yourself a favor and try it. Don’t believe the low reviews. Very interesting seaweed coleslaw and lightly sauced so the lobster meat is the star of the show.

Perfectly happy with the lobster roll purchased. For $22 I received a roll, pickles, slaw and chips! He sauce is tasty. I recommend ordering here if you are ok with having a picnic.

Quick and easy take out from nice old stuff in the corner. There are chairs and tablets in between the stand and LL Beans.

Great Restaurant! 4 of us were seated quickly, the waitress was very nice and attentive! The lobster stew had “wicked-lot “ of lobster. The lobster rolls were also generous! - made with mayo on the bottom (thankfully not drenched in mayo and thankfully no celery) . Blueberry lemonade and the blueberry pie were both made with wild blue berries …not the “other” ones .. :)

This was delicious! I was honestly not expecting anything much. I it’s basically a little lobster shack built into the side of the L.L.Bean building. There were three very hard-working people that turn out some really delicious food!

Convenient location. My crab roll was a little on the small side but delicious. Grilled cheese sandwich was a deal for $5.

If you like lobster - this is the place to go.

Surprised, but it's true. The lobster roll at the stand was the best I had all trip. The lobster starred but whatever marinade or way of cooking it really added to the flavor. Cannot recommend enough!

Wandering around Freeport is tiring. And it's mostly sit down restaurants. But I saw this walk up place, and the second time I passed it, I saw they had soup. Lobster bisque. Oh man, so good! Yum.

Delicious, convenient, and well priced. Great selection of food choices. I've been several times over the past months. ... only one time sitting at the bar we had weak, inattentive service. All other times the overall experience was fantastic.

We enjoyed the experience and we're pleased wit the food...fried clams were great...the lobster mash potatoes were full of lobster and the lobster stew was full of lobster...the only real complaint was the lobster tail on a stick...for the price should have gotten two whole lobster tails...it wasn't even half...think they quarter then...but over all fresh sea food is priced high and Maine in the summer tends to b busy in those areas that r tourist attractions. As for sevice...our server Jen was great friendly and checked in steadily to make sure we had all we needed. ...

I went there twice on my 2 1/2 days in Freeport. First time for dinner. Had the wonderful lobster traps, great salad and a piece of the Maine blueberry pie. Everything was fresh , flavorful and tasted great.
Send time was for lunch. Had a perfect lobster bisque-a large bowl with plenty of lobster, a great piece of lemon pie. The piece was huge with the right amount of sweet vs tart . Excellent crust. Did go there later that night and sat outside and had drinks arount the fire pit. Good Bloody Marys
On the first night we got to meet Linda Bean the owner. She was having dinner next to us. We talked for a long time about the lobster industry and how she is try to help out the fisherman. Very interesting lady and I hope she is successful . All in all I enjoyed everything about this place .My only regret is that I had to leave Freeport and couldn't eat here again

Fabulous lunch! The service By Stephanie was as great as the fantastic food. Lobster bisque and lobster rolls were off the charts. Coupled with the blueberry beer on tap - fantastic experience!

Hands down best Lobster Stew in the state of Maine, no, in the NorthEast. An absolute must have for anyone visiting. Keeps us coming back time and time again. Thank you, Linda Beans!
