Khom Fai Thai Dining Experience

Absolutely amazing experience from beginning to end. Our waitress LeAnn was attentive, quick and provided exceptional customer service. Isiah the owner is an outstanding chef and very knowledgeable about whiskey. Not to mention his amazing customer service that was on display the entire time their. Our entire group raved about the favors and overall taste of everything eaten. Selection of Bourbon is outstanding and the best price I have ran into thus far. Definitely a recommendation to go and we will be going back soon. Thank you for the amazing experience.

Fresh ingredients, made from scratch food.

Cocktails were tasty, and the food even better. Noodles aren't overcooked, spring rolls are crispy and flaky on the outside and not a mess of mushy vegetables on the inside.

Nothing I had was hiding behind too much sauce. Typically wings and noodles are drowning in so much sauce it makes everything soggy and dilutes the flavors of the noodles, meat and/or veggies. Not here though.

Great ambiance that isn't so lud you can't have a conversation.

Great! Awesome service and flavorful food. Entrees are very big and filling portions! Alcohol/cocktails were also amazing! Space was very small though so make reservations or you’ll most likely be waiting. Simple menu, clean and price is good! Will be back again! (Made in house ice cream was fanatic. Yeah we tried just about everything).

My wife and daughter and I had brunch there this Sunday. The food was amazing. The restaurant is pretty nondescript from the outside, but once you go inside, you feel like you’re in a super fancy restaurant- total surprise, he would never expect it from the outside. My wife had the beef broccoli and it was amazing. I had the chicken and waffles from their brunch menu, it was the best I’ve ever had. I’ve been by this place many times, but this is our first visit, I wish I would’ve gone sooner. They also have an amazing bar with a wide selection of hard to find whiskeys. Who would’ve thought? Ha

Excellent food, great hospitality, fun atmosphere. The lemongrass soup is out of the world! You can tell with every bite that only high end ingredients are used. The owner jumps right in to help his staff. The evening we went was during the week, was super busy and we did not have a reservation. Luckily he could accommodate us and get us a table. Excellent service! I would recommend getting a reservation due to how popular this restaurant is or has become. A+++

My husband and I tried this places initially by takeout. We enjoyed the food and drink( pineapple margarita) so we decided to dine in and have an early dinner. The atmosphere and energy was great! Jenna was our server and she did amazing! The service was amazing! The food was even better! We ordered mules for our drinks and they were good and strong! This place has become one of my husband and I go to places! Super cute for a date night!

Came to the area from Louisville, Kentucky was told by several people this is a must stop. It did not disappoint, perfect place for my date. Everything from start to finish was amazing in here. The specialty cocktails were spot on great service great food great vibes.. thank you for the great experience

The food was great. The drinks were very good. It is very solid in there and sound is kinda loud. A small party is fine, but a larger party, it's hard to hear the far end of the table. But the food is great and they serve appetizers first and, when done with those, the food came. The way it should be.

My favorite Thai place of all time!
The food never disappoints! I love that they have vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. The menu is fairly large and flavorful. A great place to go if multiple people have different dietary restrictions and taste buds. Staff is always kind. Our server this last time struggled a little with balancing their tables but overall it did not ruin the experience. It has a nice and clean interior. I personally tend to dress up a little more but you can get away with not being dressy.
I also really like that the owner really cares for the staff. I follow the facebook page and have interacted with them a few times over the years.

Stopped in this past week for the first time and WOW! I’m late to leaving this review, however I just knew I had to share.
We had Alexis as our server, and she was seriously so sweet and such a good server! Very attentive, personable, and killer style lol.

One of the iconic gems of Macomb and my go-to Thai craving! Whether it’s for happy hour or a romantic dinner… What is there NOT to love?! The gorgeous modern decor, cozy atmosphere with mouth-watering, delicious thai cuisine, top notch craft cocktails, and the most professional and personable service staff who strive to give you the best experience and deliver every time! Definitely recommend making a reso for dinner, especially on the weekends. Plus, it gives you something to look forward to, right? And when you get there, you need to know this is the place you get the whole experience with your meal- appetizers, drinks, and dessert! Gotta get the crab wontons, drunken noods, apple pie wontons… trust me. 🙌🏼
If you’re going to dinner or a Friday or Saturday, ask about their lobster fried rice, and you’ll be in for a buttery, delightful treat. 🤤🤤

Isaiah, the owner, is one of a kind and genuinely puts his heart and soul into making KF a legacy and taking the restaurant game to new heights. Now they even have brunch on Sunday’s?!? GAME CHANGER. The chicken and waffles (pro tip- get a side of apple pie filling 😍🤤) the biscuits and gravy and brussels were 🔥🔥🔥

Finally tried Khom Fai for the first time last night. Absolutely amazing like everyone says. The yellowfin tuna was so incredible, the portion was huge for an appetizer. The cocktails were also fantastic and so unique and worth the price. I got the curry fried rice and my husband had the drunken noodles - both amazing and so flavorful, we had tons leftover for tomorrow! We both love really spicy food and the extra hot option did not disappoint. Definitely will be coming back here 😍

Sometimes, I wake up in the middle of the night and think about the generously stuffed Devil Goons (seafood wontons mixed with sriracha and ghost chili pepper- don't worry- more savory than hot!), those perfectly sweet and messy chicken Wings, and that melt-in-your-mouth Yellowfin Tuna, and know that a trip to Khom Fai is overdue.

I discovered KF in February (they made a Valentine's Dinner exceptional with extra special touches), and have been back twice. We have had Amanda, Laith, and Leighann as servers, who were knowledgeable and helpful about Thai cuisine, as well as attentive. The interior is hip, modern, romantic, and clean.

KF's Happy Hour (T-F 4pm-6pm) is awesome and fresh and allows for people to try and split dishes they may not normally order, with a long and creative craft cocktail list (as of 04/2023, HH cocktails are $6 and select appetizers are $5-$10). My boyfriend and I like to order around three HH items to share along with one entree to split. We leave very satisfied!

Standout entrees that we’ve tried so far have been the Glass Noodles (very light and refreshing for a noodle dish) and the House Special Fried Rice (photo included- moist, fluffy, and mixed well). The servers will be happy to guide you through their spice levels.

I would recommend making reservations, but we have had luck grabbing a bar seat without one during the week.

Leave your comfort zone and try Khom Fai; the hospitality, atmosphere, food, and cocktails have exceeded my expectations and awakened my taste buds!

The ONLY complaint is that it was a little loud. The food was utterly amazing and the drinks spectacular. The service was fast, friendly, and unobtrusive but attentive. We will most certainly be back!

This is one, if not the best, Thai food restaurant I've been to. There's a variety of noodles to choose from, and the fried rice combinations will blow your mind. Now, the wings, chicken tenders, and even their fries are well seasoned. Curry dishes are just yummy. The staff is courtesy, great place for a 1st date or an anniversary and guess what they have bubble tea! The owners are present. I haven't had the desserts, but I have seen them, and delicious just come to mind! Try this place. I'm positive this will become a regular spot or take out khom Fai deserves 5☆

First time here and the food was great! This place is my new go to for Asian food. They make to order your preferred spice level which is nice. Lots of gluten free and vegetarian options as well. We made a reservation ahead of time and were seated immediately upon arrival.

Evening dinner and drinks with the girls. It took a while to get drinks, but it was a Thursday night, and they were packed.
2 of us had the Chicken Pad Thai, and it was really tasty. I could have gone with a mild plus because the med was pretty spicy to me. We had Chicken Satay as an appetizer, and it was delicious.

I've visited Khom Fai many times now and have really enjoyed each experience. I especially love the soup that comes with lunch. The food is fresh, flavorful and the portions sizes are appropriate for the price. Atmosphere is nice, warm and clean.
Staff I've found to be personable and professional. One of the top 10 Thai restaurants in Metro Detroit. Well done.
