Salad bar and Mongolian grilled are really good. The price is $13 dollar for lunch. We went yesterday around 3pm and it was not busy at all. Some of the food station are close at the time we were there and I guess those are for only breakfast time but overall I like it and will come back again.

Freshman year I swore I'd never eat here again after being the only food I consumed all year. Now my family an I absolutely love having our dinner nights here plenty of options for children and adults. Staff is so nice and respectful even when my children are crazy. Food always prepared properly. And facilities always clean.

Truly an incredible place, I've never seen anything like it before! So many options to choose from, and the student staff are friendly and helpful! It can get crowded, but there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

The Rock Cafe is a great place to take kids and family to meet up with friends and experience a feast at every station. They have something there for everyone you pay one price and you are allowed to eat as much as you want!! They also have a wonderful staff. For the price you pay you can’t go wrong!!

Just found this hidden gem today. It's on the campus of Ferris State University. It's a little bit of a drive to Big Rapids but if you're going by there it's not far from 131 and definitely worth the stop. Even if you're thinking of taking a road trip just to get out of town, this is a good destination. I like to take the slower, more scenic 44/Wolverine Blvd./Northland Dr. to go north. They are open 7 days from 7a.m. for breakfast and don't close til 11p.m. It is a buffet with a Mongolian grill. It's $13.00 per person, including a drink. Breakfast is $8 and lunch is $11.50. Under 12 yrs old is cheaper. There is a large variety of things to eat and drink. A lot of it is self serve, but there are people working behind the counters that are willing to help you with anything you need. You put your own dirty dishes on a conveyor towards the back of the restaurant. The restaurant is huge (the picture showing the inside of the restaurant is only about half of it. There's another side off to the right and an enclosed dining room.) and kept very clean. The french fries were cold but everything else was fresh and delicious. We went Saturday on Memorial day weekend at about 4:00p.m. and it wasn't too busy. But when we were leaving at around 6:00p.m. it was getting really busy by families with lots of kids. Check it out!

I visited my daughter at Ferris and had lunch with her here. Loved the variety and quality of all the food I tried. Highly recommend this place. Great good at a great price

Took the family here today. It was great! There was something for everyone, and it didn't break the bank to feed our family of 6. We will be back!

My friend took me to the the rock Cafe for my birthday at my request of places to eat he had never been there before he was very impressed at the variety and quality we enjoyed our meal there and will be return customer's

Altogether this was an unexpected delight. The fare was great. The service was stellar. The cleanliness was above average and combined proved to be an unexpected adventure. 5 stars in my book! Thank you Ferris for providing a fantastic alternative to the otherwise lackluster dining available here in Big Rapids. The Rock is a gem and needs to be checked out soon!!!!

Food gets 4 stars, not for quality (good for a dining hall but still a dining hall) but for variety. Atmosphere is chill and energetic

As college cafeterias go, this is the best I've been to. Pretty much any quisine you could be craving is offered. Prices are a little high as a non-student, but the quality of the food and the fact that it's essentially a giant buffet makes up for it.

Enjoyable food, and the guest service was amazing. The Mongolian grill was a delight, and completely customizable. You select from a variety of veggies, meats, and sauce.

I absolutely love the rock cafe. This is the place to go when you have a family that likes a little bit of everything. Its better than your normal buffet. There is a hibachi station where you pick out what veggies you want and mix up your own sauces, you tell them what protien you want n they cook it up for you on a hibachi grill. They have a pizza and pasta station with usually about 3 types of pizza and a gluten free pizza. Theres a sandwhich station a burger station... They have a great salad bar with lots of dressing choices. They always have atleast 2 soups one of which is usually always vegan. They have a breakfast section and a waffle maker. Lots of desserts to choose from. They have tons of beverage selections from sodas, to sobe life water, 100% juices, different kinds of teas n flavored waters, coffee and cappuccino. It is on ferris campus but is more of a family restaurant.

It's was definitely worth the money 💰, food was delicious

Super awesome atmosphere and the service impeccable highly recommend if your in town to stop there and enjoy the experience.
