Worth the wait! Went to get food after paddle boarding at Lime lake and had to wait a bit to be seated and had a long wait for food but it was worth it! I got the Clevelander that has turkey and ham and bacon and it was delicious! Crunchy, and perfect amount of meat. Our server was so kind and attentive! Thanks!!

Great out of the way place. Good Detroit style pizza and eclectic atmosphere. Very busy night when I was there but the food was hot and tasted very good. Would recommend to any visiting the area. Great attitude as displayed by the staffs shirt.

I don't usually write reviews but this place is amazing. We stopped because it was one of the few places open after 6pm on a Saturday in October. While we did have to wait a bit, the wait was worth it. The staff was friendly. They provided extra napkins in advance of serving food. The atmosphere was cozy, quaint, and unique. You can tell that the locals also like the place due to the high volume of carry out orders we witnessed. We ordered cheesy bread and a build your own pizza. The ratio of crust, sauce, cheese, and toppings was perfect for those who want to experience flavor and texture. Not overly saucy or cheesy but you still had the stringy cheese and crispy crust! While the meal was filling, it didn't feel heavy. As sad as I am that I am not a local, I have to say, I would likely visit this place too much if I lived closer. I don't want to over promise and set expectations too high but this was delicious!!!

This place was surprisingly good. My wife enjoyed their vegi burger and I had the Ruben. The Ruben was the best one I've had since a very well known Jewish deli back in DC. My wife loved the vegi burger as well. Do yourself a favor if stopping here and order a side of their jalapeno pineapple cheesy bread sticks and dip it in the hot honey. I don't even like pineapple on pizza, but stuff is basically crack. Food is so good you don't notice the inflation prices that we have to pay these days. We considered driving the hour back to eat more. Great food here. Also, I accidentally spilled my pop, something I haven't done in years. All the staff was pleasant about it. I'll be coming back when I visit.

I consider myself somewhat of a pizza connoisseur and this was some of the best Detroit style pizza I've ever had anywhere. I ordered the swine style which includes some of their pulled pork, but I also got to try their standalone pulled pork sandwich and that was also incredible. Great food, great service, not a terrible wait to get seated. I highly recommend you stop by if you're in the area.

Party of 6 for a late lunch in January. We were the only ones dining in so service was prompt and polite. Ordered 2 pizzas and cheese bread. The pizza was very good... not gourmet... and came in a rectangle with 12 slices. Large selection of beer and wine. Small grocery selection available while not giving the feel of a convenience store. Good coffee and other assorted beverages. Would definitely return. Expect to pay about 7 to 8 dollars per person before drinks.

Hidden gem by the lake. We had breadsticks (a must), sandwiches (pulled pork, BLT w/avocado, & Philly), and pizza.
The star of the show was definitely the pizza. My boys devoured it.
The restaurant was beautiful and the staff friendly. I also loved that they sourced local. MI soda and even the chips were made in Detroit.
You get chalk to write on the table. Overall great place and fun experience.

We stopped in for a late lunch on Thursday -so glad we did! Excellent service, and the food was wonderful! Draft craft beer for both of us, a perfectly grilled cheese sandwich for me. Hubby said it was truly the best Reuben he has had in a while!!! We should have stopped at half, but it was so good! Already planning a return visit before we head home. I hear the Sunday brunch is amazing!

EDIT: Its been years since my first review and I just want to say this is still my favorite place to stop in and have a pizza and cold drink after a day spent hiking or laying on the beach. Perfect end to lazy summer days spent on Lake Michigan. I will be moving soon and will miss Market 22 tremendously. I just had to leave an update on this hidden gem.

Went for a hike with my hubby, afterwards we were starving and he said he wanted to stop by this Market he passed by the other day. I said sure, not really caring, just wanted a snack. OMG! This place is amazing! The food was honestly so freaking good, and you get SO much of it. We both got sandwiches, I got the Sweet Caroline, he got the Bohemian. Table next to us got salads and the Detroit style pizza, my mouth was watering. Going back latter this week to try those out as well. They also have some baked goods and pastries from 9 Bean Row, and a small bar. Fell in love with this place!

The BEST pizza EVER. Nothing is better than their pizza. Ultimate favorite is the Reuben pizza, then the Swine is 2nd fave. Amazing staff as well! Oh and their gluten free crust is excellent!

I’m not a pizza snob, but Leelanau County is home to several of them. I have it on good authority that this is objectively the best pizza around. Personally, I love it, and think it’s delicious, and so I definitely agree. The pizza snobs praise the crust for being thick and doughy, confident in its ability to withstand the weight of a perfect sauce and a good amount of cheese and toppings. People drive the length of the peninsula to grab carry out, even if they need to pass several other pizza options in order to do so. Their reasonable prices and ample portions only add to Market 22’s magic.

Stopped by here on a whim and I've been thinking about it ever since :) We had two pizzas and a pastrami sandwich. Everything was absolutely insane. Taste buds BLOWN. I will be stopping here every time I'm within an hour drive.

Great experience! Casual and family friendly atmosphere and great staff. Something on the menu for everyone, our group has pizzas and they were great! Cocktails were awesome and drinks menu included wine, beer, cider, and liquor drinks -there is definitely something for the whole group! We met Melanie, owner, who was fantastic and didn't hesitate to jump in and help her staff out on a busy Saturday night. Overall great experience and highly recommended!!

Stopped in for my first visit since it was called Michigan Traders. I wasn't disappointed. Excellent sandwich. I ordered the Bohemian (smoked ham, pulled pork, bacon, Gouda, mustard, mayo on a toasted po' boy bun). Came with chips and pickle.

I've heard their pizza is amazing too so can't wait to come back and order one.

Enjoyed the best Reuben sandwich ever ! A generous amount of corned beef succulent and sliced thin, sauerkraut tangy with a tasty slaw and marbled rye toasted to a golden brown. So delicious !!

Very good but we did wait an hour for the pizza and and hour 15 for the sandwiches. Beer was very good but they were out of all of the local wine from 45. The food was a 5/5, but I do wish it could have been a little speedier and they had had the wine available.

Jive “Reuben” with corned beef and coleslaw is just super tasty like everything on their menu!

You just cant go wrong! Not to forget the chef’s awesome pizza!

The entire market 22 team does a wonderful job and we love spending our weekends after a bike ride here to regenerate!

You must stop here if you're in the area! I had a fantabulous grilled cheese sandwich that was cooked to perfection, crispy and golden brown. I also had a bloody Mary with my meal, which was worth the stop alone! You can order your bloody Mary (spicy or regular). And the best part is they make their own bloody Mary mix. I love spicy things... but just a heads up you might want to try the spicy mix before you order one, wowza!!

I can't wait to go back and try more items off from the menu. Everything sounded and looked amazing!

We absolutely love the food here! Bacon is fantastic! I always get the BLTA. Crunchy bread, fresh avocado, tasty mayo, and crisp bacon. The Clevelandar was very tasty in our party too. We always stop by when we're up here in MI, often more than once! We always mean to order pizza but can't resist the sandwiches.

They were completely slammed at about 1:00 on Thursday so we decided to order to go, ran down to Glen Arbor, and came back to get it about 40 mins later. Because they were so busy inside and on the phone, it took about 15 minutes to get someone to take our order, but the sign on the door said that they were closing early because of being understaffed, so we understand. Love the food, always worth the wait.

Great sandwiches, had the blta (although I didn't detect much avocado) and others had the pulled pork - everyone thought they were delicious! Look forward to trying the chicken salad and pizza. Great atmosphere, can sit inside or outside. Our sandwiches (to go) took a little longer than anticipated but was worth it in the end. Must go!
