My cat Ottis tangled with another animal and had a cut on his head.
I thought NBD until it got swollen and smelly! I called the Gentle Dr Vet Clinic, and they made room for him to be seen within a half hour!
They treated him so sweet, even though he was a bit of an A-hole!
I understand he was scared, so I held him while they have him medications (shots) it went well!
Whithin a couple days he was purring again! 😻 And I felt their fees were reasonable.
We were there with my Daughters Cat Murphy little over a month ago, Murphy was about 14 years old, and really sick. He was the most amazing loving guy I've ever had the pleasure knowing. They were so kind a compassionate working with us to put Murm out of his pain, it was hard to do. I wouldn't go any other place with my Pets. They understand our Pet Love!

Dr. Jen is terrific! She is so patient and knows how to immediately but our little cairn Terrier at ease. She gets right down on the floor with him and is sooo gentle with him.we live 45 minutes away but would never take our little guy to anyone else.Her team is also so kind and caring.

I’ve been going to the Gentle Vet for 3 decades at least. They’ve always been really kind and awesome with my fur babies. Their prices have always been fair if not the cheapest around which is awesome for this single income mama

If you’re looking for a vet that is personal, budget-pricing, lots of help, etc. You got it here. Been going here for 2 years+ and we’ve even been seen by the owner a few times. You know that’s huge now a days. Heartguard for heart worm tablets are priced cheap compared to the competitors! I appreciate that they don’t force things on you, as my dog needed treatment and she recommended honey!! It works for him every time now. Shoot I’ll probably even take my kids care because they’re so gentle!

My dog is 14, and I have NEVER had the vet on the floor with her petting her and checking her over on the dogs level! Great team!

Everyone is very kind. My cat never shows signs of fear and lets the girls clip his nails and give him his shots without issue!

I used to go to another chain vet. They would do an annual check and I'd picked up my pet, pay my bill, and they sent me on my way. If there was something abnormal on a test there was barely an explanation, just we need to do more expensive tests. My pet was a way to generate a profit, and they charged astronomical prices for the subpar care they were giving.

The first time I came here the vet spent over 30 minutes discussing my dogs health and the options for what might be ailing her. She actually cared about my girl and her focus was on what was a reasonable next step in her diagnosis. She answered all of my questions and genuinely CARED.

I figured once I got to check out that the bill would reflect this extra level of care, but it was completely reasonable with many services far less than the box chain vet.

LOVE! Just took my senior Dane there for her annual exam/shots and they were wonderful!! Very friendly and understanding of my financial situation. Did not push anything on me, or make me feel bad about anything. Were very gentle and affectionate with my 11 yo girl (she is SUPER anxious at vets). Pricing is also very good. Great with cats too - we took our cats there growing up and always had really good experiences. HIGHLY recommend!

The clinic was recommended to me by my son when my wife and I were just thinking about getting a dog. It is far from Minnetonka but he was convincing. At that time Dr. Green was very helpful in my decision of what breed to get. She was great and very important when we were forced to put that dog down a few years later. From that point on I never considered changing. She's is no longer there, but we are now on our third dog but the clinic remains excellent and I still will not consider changing.

This vet clinic is phenomenal. They are so caring and willing to go the extra mile. I have a very particular Bloodhound and a not-so-particular Maine Coon that both receive amazing care tailored to their needs.

I have always recommended Gentle Doctor Vet to anyone that asks and will never bring my animals anywhere else. I have been bringing my boxer here since she was 8 weeks old. She is 12 years old now. They have always taken great care of her and have been great to work with. A recent prime example of this… she started to have seizures at the vet. The team didn’t hesitate to let us do an outdoor visit for her annual check up when I asked. They were so patient and caring with her during the visit (like always). Best part is she didn’t have a seizure! 😊

I love the staff and the special care they give to my dog. You can tell everyone that works there loves animals and are also very good with animal parents. They are very thorough and patient. It gives me great peace of mind going to this vet. The name of the clinic is so appropriate.

Best Vet Clinic in the area! I moved away ~6 years ago and came back to Burnsville to establish care with them again. They are so kind, caring and accommodating when your pets need care. The front desk staff is amazing and truly loves each pet that comes through the door. They answer questions quickly and thoroughly. I have a cat that is a little spicy (according to other vet clinics) and they have had zero issues with him and are able to give him vaccines and exams with ease.

Update: We just had to have our dog put down and it was the hardest thing I've ever done, but the vet and staff at The Gentle Doctor were so kind and answered all our questions. They made a very painful day at least a little better by the care they gave. I highly recommend this vet clinic.

3 years prior: Gentle Doctor did a great job on my dog's dental work, and they had better pricing than anywhere else I had looked at near us. We'll definitely be going back and have decided to make this our vet clinic!!

Jenna and the whole staff were very easy to deal with. Jenna called when they had a cancelation so my dog could be treated asap. The doctors and technicians were all wonderful and knowledgeable and. I left with piece of mind knowing my dog had the best treatment.
