E M Transmission removed, rebuilt, and reinstalled my 07 Avalanche transmission in less than 1 full day. They legitimately know what they are doing and even went in and beefed up my clutch packs and changed my torque converter to one that worked better with my oversized wheels and tires. The truck drove better than back when I bought it after they had finished the job. The Best part... their price was THE LOWEST I found across Omaha.

The crew in this shop does amazing work. My car was in and out in two days for a very reasonable price. Eric has forty years of experience and knows transmissions like the back of his hand and was able to show me exactly what was going on. If you're having transmission issues these are the people to take it to.

I recommend EM Transmission with 5 stars! These guys got me in and had my truck diagnosed the day I had it towed there. I was sure my transmission was shot but Eric called and informed me it was the transfer case. No up sell, no BS. He got the part ordered and installed the next day! Very fairly priced and 5 star customer service that you can trust!

I have been using e and m transmission as my primary auto service and repair shop for almost ten years. My experience there has ALWAYS been excellent! Eric is knowledgeable, professional, honest and his prices are reasonable. I trust him and highly recommend him to anyone needing transmission or any other auto repair service.

I was referred to them by a good friend I trust and I’m happy for the new connection! My car was needing repairs and they did a great job getting it ready for winter and were very fair with pricing - even helped a few other long-standing issues with the car at no extra cost. I called this morning to see if they could squeeze me in when I didn’t have my small child or work meetings and they did and it was finished by early afternoon. Highly recommend!

This business completely exceeded my expectations with their quality of work, professionalism, and efficiency for getting the work done. I have a 1995 Pontiac Trans Am with a Procharger that was experiencing issues shifting into 3rd and 4th gear.

The first call I made to the business, Eric was extremely professional , courteous, and eager to diagnose the cause of the problem. I took the car to Eric and he got working on it right away. After doing some diagnostics and searching we started by replacing a pressure switch. He stated that he did not want to charge me for rebuilding a transmission if we didn't have to. This speaks volumes for the type of mechanic he is. Not trying to upsell or just take the customer's money.

I decided to have the transmission rebuilt anyways as I had already set aside the money to do so. I knew the current transmission was not built to withstand the horsepower the car was currently producing. Eric got the car in immediately and went to work. He built the transmission with all new heavy duty parts to withstand the power the car has with the Procharger. He put in long hours and had the car back to me 24hrs later with a freshly rebuilt 4L60E. Car runs and drives better than it ever has before! He even put grease on my door hinges because the driver's side door was squeaking when opening and shutting.

Point and Case , E & M Transmission has gained a lifelong customer and I will refer any and everyone I can to this shop. I wish more mechanics in the area ran their business with the amount of professionalism, and craftsmanship that this shop does.

Austin Redding

I was in need of a new transfer case and needed my car towed. I called the shop, Eric sent a truck out that day and within 48 hours, my car was drivable again. I really appreciated how quickly Eric and his employees worked to get my vehicle fixed and didn't overcharge me for anything.

Eric was very honest and forthright. He could have done a temporary fix and I would have been none the wiser, however Eric explained to me that my transmission had experienced total failure. He then recommend a transmission shop that was their only speciality. Eric would have had to charge me at least $2200 but the Transmission Shop he referred me to was repaired with a gaurentee of 12 months + 12,000 miles for $1700.

Thank you Eric for your help and honesty. You've earned a loyal customer in myself.

Extremely honest, friendly and reliable service. if you are looking for someone to give you an honest diagnosis on your car this is the guy. my dealership gave me the go around but Eric gave me and honest diagnosis and a fair price on a repair. If you're looking for a relatable and honest mechanic this is the place to go.

I had a sudden grinding sound going on underneath my Jeep Commander. I thought it might be a loose break caliper or worse from hitting potholes. I took it right up to a well known local tire and auto chain because they were close and I figured they could at least diagnose the problem. I left it with them and they called back the next day and said they’d have to send it to their “transmission specialist”. I later found out their transmission specialist was another well know local transmission chain that they took it to. The next day I called and they told me it was a bad transfer case that went bad because the tread on my tires from from to back was not matching so I’d need new tires in addition to new struts etc. all totaling over $6000. There was so much I wanted to say but unfortunately didn’t. I should have asked them if they felt it was ethical to try and get $6000 in repairs on a 2007 Jeep with over 150,000 miles on it. Its worth less than half that.
Instead I said, “none of that is going to happen. I’m coming to get my car.” I gave them $100 diagnostic fee and left and took it straight to EM Transmission because I had read good reviews and they were fairly close. This was a Friday night and Eric told me he wouldn’t be able to do anything till Monday which I said was fine. I also told him what had happened and what the other repair shop told me. I said, “look, I know I could probably use a new struts and the tires aren’t brand new but I have replaced them not that long ago and so basically I would like to fix the grinding that’s happening if it’s reasonable because at this point I’d like to get maybe another year out of it before I sold it because it’s paid off and it’s nice to not have a payment.” Eric said he’d let me know what he found. Later that night, remember this is a Friday night Eric called me and said he did have a chance to drive it and check it out and that he saw that there was a brake ABS warning light on the dash among other service lights that were on as well. He said he had a thought and would let me know Monday what he found out. He call me back Monday as promised and informed me that I had a bad sensor on one of my brakes that was causing the transfer case the problem that was causing the grinding. He fixed the sensor which costed me $150 and I was out the door. Out the door after thanked him and promised him an amazing review. There are some honest, real mechanics still around like Eric if you do some digging. This was over a week ago and it’s been running perfect. THANKS AGAIN!

🏆Definitely go here. 💯

Erick took some time to talk about my problem over the phone. Turns out he accurately diagnosed it over the phone. I dropped the truck off and had it back in a matter of hours. Some tranny issues will surely take more time but I have the utmost faith in his ability to honestly, accurately diagnose and repair your vehicle with integrity.

Eric is a small shop that provides honest work and fair prices. Probably the kind of local shop your dad always went to as he trusted their work for the family car. I have always felt good about my dealings at EM Transmissions.

Eric and Aaron are like going to a small town shop! I moved here from Norfolk last year and have had my truck into them three times....I've had excellent service at a reasonable price....EVERY time! They replaced my transmission for less than the cost of buying one and doing it myself!

Had my non-starting car towed in. Eric got the car started, reached in, and unplugged the MAF sensor. It went from smokey and rough to smooth. It wasn't in his shop 2 minutes before he had the problem diagnosed. He got the part (MAF sensor) delivered and installed within the hour at a great price. Eric has a repeat customer here.

I took my 2005 Impala to several other machenic shops and all of them tried to explain to me that my car needed a $1,000 repair to stop an oil leak, When I came here the mechanic found the leak in 2 minutes and fixed my vehicle for about $100. I definitely recommend coming here. Very trustworthy, fair, quick, and professional.

Took my '09 1500 Ram to Eric at EM. The truck was "locking up" only in reverse, thinking it was a transmission problem I called around to some local shops for some quotes. 1 shop tried to upsell me a "beefier" transmission for off-roading (which I don't use the truck for). After a couple short phone conversations with Eric i felt he was the shop to deal with.

Dropped it off, and the next day Eric called me up trying to problem solve the issue I was having. Turns out the e-brake shoe separated causing the brakes to lock up. Eric did a great job diagnosing the issue and keeping in contact with me through the whole process. Most importantly he saved me a sizable chunk of change. He could of easily done the service requested, and not fixed the problem, or worse yet did the service provided and charged me the service requested.

Eric definitely earned a repeat customer here. It's hard to find someone trusting in the automotive repair world anymore.

Thanks again Eric.

Eric was very honest and he helped save me 4,000$ that another place was trying to rip me off for. He did everything I needed to the car and he did it very efficiently he also updated me with exactly what he was going to do to the car and didn't put any hidden fees in. I recommend everyone go here bc he is the best in town and u can't beat the work he does truly a life saver to me and I don't know what I would have done without him another place had told me I needed a new transmission and struts and shocks Eric checked it out and I just needed a flush and oil he saved me over 4,000$ and I cannot thank him enough we need more people like him thanks again Eric u are awesome.
